What do you use to clean your various metals? New to this hobby/sport - detector is in the mail and I'm getting excited! Thanks much for taking the time and sharing
@wwood14 ....Visit my homepage to find out what equipment I use, digging tools pinpointers, and books that I read about detecting can be found there as well...What detector is the best value...Depends on your budget..
I have never found any silver yet but when i pull pennies out of the ground that are dated in the 80's and 90's (for example) they are completly filthy to the point that i cant tell what they are. do silver coins stay cleaner in the ground because of the material?
@Silv3rCollector ........Yes ,silver & gold do not currode like copper & other materials..They often come out of the ground looking like the day they were dropped after rinsing w/water.
You know where is the best place to look for things like these? At a bathing beach if you live near one. You wouldn't believe the things you can find there...
unreal hunt man!!! gos i wana go right now dand dig all the iffy signals i can find lol great vid again my friend ty so much for inspiration to get off butt HH
Great hunting 219. I believe in digging iffy signals, sometimes that's all I get at my hunted to death sites. Real nice find on the Barber quarter, congrats. HH
Not if they go higher than about 26 Fe...Thats where I have my disc down to...I don't here it if it comes in higher....mid teens to mid 20's Fe #'s can still be wheats & Indians.....V & Buffalo's can show high fe #'s as well....If it is a repeatable tone or 'Peep' I'll dig...Even if it is broken...But in my experience...Silver Fe #'s always come in at 1-13 maybe 14 Fe....Unless there is coppers and nickles with it in a coin spill
You sure you're not going for 300 again? You got 34 silver coins with limited time in the winter months. I don't think I've ever seen you post a video without a silver coin, so good job once again and HH!
Man, you are really rakin' in the silver and wheats Dave this year. I'm always looking out for your new videos 'cause I know they all contain some real nice goodies. Congrats on those Barbers and that St. Christopher pendant especially. Good luck on the next hunt.....James in Alabama..... P.S. What's Goio been up to?
Thx Josie.....I haven't heard from Goio this year....He said last year ...He was going to devote 2010 to water hunting...I am sure if he does....He'll net lots of Gold
.......Thanks TF............Give me a call latter in the week...So we can plan more hunts for this week end....T-Man will be back in Texas next weekend
Most excellent Dave! Great job sniffing out those iffy signals. Seems like the reward is always greater when you do find something good when the signal was all trashy!
Always a thrill to hunt with you Dave. You find some great stuff! A good lesson, dig the Iffy signal's! Glad you did so well at your old school. Good luck next hunt!
so cool..

What about gold. Where do you find gold in Ontario?
pkrska 7 months ago
@pkrska I don't know..I live in the U.S....But I think the same should apply in Ontario.

@Silv3rCollector pennies from the 80s and 90s were zinc. Copper shouldn't corrode in the same way.
