  • Yeah man, done this justice, he still has it !!!!

  • Was a Blondie fan, not half as much as a Terry fan (not even close), but Rapture was never a fave of mine. However LOVE this cover here!

Does Terry have a voice? How could anyone doubt it???!!! In all his bands & solo work & that even includes Colourfield,he's done some great work. Speaking strictly of his voice, check From Dawn to Distraction, alas video-less & rather unknown...great song though! Colourfield was not his best effort despite a few very good songs. LONG LIVE SKA, SPECIALS, TERRY!

  • Dub Pistols at Hove Centre in Brighton on 16th April.

Tickets just £7.50 from See Tickets.

  • Jerry Sadowitz who appeared in Terry Blair&Anouchka's video of Ultra Modern Nursery Rhymes, complained that this video infringed upon his copyright. Jerry's been replaced.

It has taken 5 months to do this!

Although angry with Jerry, I am also grateful because, I would have never learned Adobe After Effects and graphic animation. So thank you Jerry!

Jerry has been replaced by a number of colourful characters! Marc Bolan even makes an appearance! Bet he won't complain??!!!

  • lol @ bells being called 'rings'

  • wow...luv this, how slick ;)

  • First time I heard this song made me laugh, because the rings sang with the vocalist!

  • The original is another dimension good, but this is a worthy cover!

  • amazing! love all on this.

  • just returned fromk their gig...head full of this soiund...fuckin brilliant

  • There seems to be some major drug influence in Terry's world

  • Two Tone! I suddenly remembered the label. Duh.

  • Terry's had a few bands - the Specials, The Colourfield, Fun Boy Three, Vegas. The record label was probably Stiff records, or maybe Virgin, I dunno, I don't follow labels. The best label was Factory - when they released New Order's Blue Monday on 12", they actually made a 5p loss on every copy they sold because of the expensive packaging. RIP Tony Wilson.

  • polsemiesko, natalia3009 & oclandestin I agree wholeheartedly with your assessment of the track. As a pre-teen I was a member of th 'Blondie' fan club, but this version is way better. So cool I need thawing out.

  • spacejockeycyrano. What was Terry's band called? and what label ?

record labels where black and white.

    Two Tone you might say.

Born in Leicester, and I live in Lancashire.

    Northern enough for ya ?

  • "Does anybody know what a rude boy is?" ha-ha, nice one! Man, you don't come from Northern England. Chuffed with this though, I been struggling for yonks to get my head around Debbie Harry's high-pitched drawl and good ole boy Terry moulds it with his Coventry accent, class! All hail Terry Hall, the only popstar who kept his English accent.

  • a British "Rude Boy" is a Ska fan in a Two Tone suit.

I was one. Ska and reggae.

    One life Jah Rule.

  • this version is better than a original with blondie...

  • Do any of you know what a "Rude boy" Is?

  • i agree with majisto, who else comes close & why is he so under-rated ? TH has a VOICE!

  • So sad but when I was 15 and walking along Euston Road to the Capital Radio Jobcentre with Jonny Slut (pre Specimen days) we used to sing 'really saying something' as it was a hit of the summer. I do appreciate 'Too Much Too Young' oh so much more but yeah TH rocks it. Extremeley impressed with the Dub Pistols and want to buy right in - awesome x

  • I cannot believe my luck in stumbling across this - fucking amazing and I cannot wait to listen to all the other stuff Dub Pistols have done on here. TH was the voice of my youth and long may he reign :-) Peace guys x

  • Terry Hall's voice is so effortlessly cool. I don't like this much but it's better than Blondie's version.

  • Effortlessly cool? Isn't that a tautology? Like, exactly identical?

  • tautology or didactic ?

    You say

  • I have taken a brief look at the definitions and didactic (used in this context) is to overburden with factual information while tautology is to use different words with the same meaning. In my opinion 'cool', when referring to personal style, is a vernacular term which refers to an apparent lack of effort.

  • You may have a point : ) What I meant was that some artists have a cool sound/style but you can tell it's really contrived and that alot of effort has gone into their styling. Terry Hall just seems very natural.

  • You've got a point.

  • I met Mr Ashworth in a very posh club in Beijing. Had a wicked night.

  • Terry Hall is the king of British pop

  • Audacious but great version!

  • love what you did with this song!!!

  • claaaaaasssssds act class cover show me more class

  • guay

  • Hooo boy this moves me. I love the whole sound of this. MORE MORE MORE!

  • Fun Boy Three, The Specials, Coloufield... Terry Hall rules the universe.

  • yeah, absolutely fantastic version. Terry Hall is so great...

  • is there a video clip to the song "Six Million Ways To Live" ??? Therew Should be! It's a great Song

  • Creepy and awesome.

  • as much as i love blondie, i have to say this version is way better

  • love the song

  • Love it!

  • Brilliant! A fresh spin on an old classic. Terry's vocals are a real treat!

  • Great track.Terry hall-Living Legenbd.Well done to the Dubs for gettin him involved
