Guy Mitchell had a bigger hit with this song than they did. Unfortunately, shortly after this was filmed, The Weavers were "blacklisted" from radio and TV, primarily because of Pete Seeger's political affiliations. Although they sang together through the mid-'50s, Pete left the group....and remained "censored" from commercial TV until 1967.
Great to see Fred Hellerman shine in this song. I have always felt that most of the other times he was overshadowed by the other three.
