Dang just discovering Godflesh for the first time, I've been into metal since 1991 and I've known of this band for many years but never ever listened to them, I think I used to pigeon hole bands back in the 90s and this one must have been one I just didn't give any time.....so weird to not know how awesome they are for 20 years.

I have been a Godflesh fan since they first came to light in the late 80's They have been the inspiration for alot of industrial bands, if not the forefathers.

All I can say is they will live in the halls of modern music forever.

Dude, I listened to so much Godflesh when I was burning and doing that shit on a regular basis. I fucking love the tone on this fucking album, and especially on this track. I fucking gush over the abrasive scratchy noises you can hear in the guitar when Justin changes the notes. So fucking raw, I fucking love it.

I honestly don't find the vocals to be the worst thing. They aren't Maynard James Keenan or something but they could be all crappy and dissonant. The mix is great, so the vocals blend well. Either way, the band is phenominal.

Justin Broadricks vocals aren't so great, but the lyrics and the music can rip a human body in to thousand pieces, that's the idea and the power of Godflesh (probably you know what I mean :P )
