Dear KissFreak, Ms.Bertinelli is a talented lady..but towards the end of the

series run..she got last billing and she didn't deserve it.

Actually her getting last billing was what made her stand out in this case. It was a good thing. It wasn't one of those unimportant random last billed situations. Sometimes last billing means that the person is 2nd or 3rd in line after the star. It rings true in Val's case.

Even though Valeri Bertinelli was billed last, she had the "as" distinction in her credit. In the absence of top billing (Bonnie Franklin was the lead), giving someone an "also starring", "and" or "as" credit indicates that they've gotten a special billing separate of the other actors.

Actually during the last season, even though Valerie was listed last, it said "Starring Valerie Bertinelli" above her name, as it did for Bonnie Franklin and Pat Harrington.
