Couldn't agree more. I went to my first concert a month ago and I hated it. People are douche bags. I'm 4' 11" and people were actually pushing me to the ground to get in front of me.
i think this guy went in to the moshpit and got back black and blue from it. after that people started to clap because he was crying. c'mon man, why do you post such a stupid video.
@youcantspellmynmae Your right about the whole punching and elbowing thing. I heard that at a five finger death punch concert, some guy broke his leg in a moshpit, the singer let him go back stage with him and stay with him until the ambulance came. After that he was talking about how kids back in the pantera days had more respect for each other by just pushing and not acually punching and trying to hurt someone.
thats just how tool is, they tell you before you get to the door to go put your cameras away
i dunno, maybe i'm just a huuuuuuuge tool fan, but it kind of pisses me off too when i see some dude who paid hundreds of dollars for his front row ticket, sittin there watchin the show through his little video camera phone just so he can throw it on youtube
pictures is a completely different thing though, i dont see why they care about that
wow i completely agree with everything you said! i used to mosh a lot before all this "hardcore dancing" crap came along. Back when moshing was intending just for fun and for a safe way to get aggression out, but now its like the whole focus of the pit is to beat the shit out of each other and show off your wannabe kung fu.
I've never seen these kid of people at shows but I don't go to those kids of shows. But I've seen the mosher guys who are just there to hurt people watching and I usually punch them in the head. And guys at hardcore shows are nice, they'll push you out of the way first before they start hardcore dancing and pick you up if you fall. And if you get hurt bad they pick you up and bring you and make sure you're safe.
LMFAO if you didn't live in Canada I'd swear we were at the same concert. During the part where Reznor is quietly singing the chorus, there was a group of, like, four people, all clapping in sync. It was ridiculous.
I know what you mean about Radiohead too, and I saw what you were talking about when I saw Tool when they toured 10,000 Days. Never seen Opeth though. D:
About the photography thing, totally agree, but it is usually the venue's fault. not the band's. About the clapping I feel if it works with the rhythm and mood of the song, then do it. about the moshing, love it in every way when its appropriate. And lol about the sandals.
when you're in the front row everyone behind you is trying to get to stand where you are standing- so basically they just try to piss you off until you either move or break your concentration of keeping your position. You rage you lose.
Last concert I went to this sweaty fat bitch kept jumpin' up and down in front of me and rubbing her sweaty bingo-wings on my arms.
This was at Static-X
The security made me put my camera away, they didn't make me delete my pictures or anything, but one of the guys stood behind me for like 10 minutes, so I just left that spot.
I also completely agree on the camera thing. What's a little more publicity going to hurt?...wait a minute, nothing at all. Not like you're the frickin' paparazzi and Buckethead has his mask off and everyone's like "SOME DOUCHE GOT HIS PICTURE WITH HIS MASK OFF AND PUT IT ON THE INTERNET RUINING HIS LIFE XO". Taking away cameras and camcorders, or even going as far as to erase your camera's memory (which I'm sure is a violation of privacy, even though you disobeyed first) is just ridiculous.
Luckily I haven't been to many concerts where the mentioned stuff has happened frequently, but I will say this. It pisses me off when people do drugs/get high/get drunk at a concert. Why? Not only does it bother me, but why the heck did you come to a $100 concert just to get smashed? You can do that at home with a stereo on for all I care; let me enjoy what I payed for! And then there's all the people on TV when some unfortunate news channel is showing those drunks. I deserve their tickets :/
Didn't agree to 1.12, taking a picture makes you remember the time you had and treasures the experience. agreed afterwards. Sandals at concerts lmao, they don't deserve to complain
Nah I think they should be able to take pictures and I see why picture taking is a big deal at concerts for people. Tool taking cameras away and erasing pictures..what the hell
radiohead, opeth and nine inch nails arent really the uber cool underground metal stuff or sumthing, so wtf are you nagging about gay ppl clapping in the audience
i don't like slam dancers either. usually if i suspect a mosh will be held in my vicinity, i surround myself with a circle of my urine and scream, "Oh the gonorrhea!"
you should do it too, we could start a revolution of pee circles.
I hate how stupid some people are. I had a beer bottle smashed over my head at the age of 12, in a Marilyn Manson concert. I kept getting *offered* fights for no reason, I declined all. Some people are just stupid.
What else annoys me, was when people clap along to a song, but they are clapping hideously out of time.
When I was at PaganFest last year some security douche came and told my friend to put his camera away or he will break it. Even at the house of blues they wanted to take my camera and make me pay $5 to get it back...
The jackets are from the Bay Area Thrash scene and before.
Denim jackets were the most common and had all sorts of patches sewed onto them, some are actually pretty damn awesome. People have been known to use leather too, but it's much more difficult to work with and a ton more expensive.

haha ya thats great i agree another huge fail is i was at a country concert (with my girlfriend dont make fun of me lol) and people were like "rock on" and holding up the rock symbol in the air like fail wtf its country hes playing a banjo. no. fail.
