I've never seen these kid of people at shows but I don't go to those kids of shows. But I've seen the mosher guys who are just there to hurt people watching and I usually punch them in the head. And guys at hardcore shows are nice, they'll push you out of the way first before they start hardcore dancing and pick you up if you fall. And if you get hurt bad they pick you up and bring you and make sure you're safe.

About the photography thing, totally agree, but it is usually the venue's fault. not the band's. About the clapping I feel if it works with the rhythm and mood of the song, then do it. about the moshing, love it in every way when its appropriate. And lol about the sandals.

The security made me put my camera away, they didn't make me delete my pictures or anything, but one of the guys stood behind me for like 10 minutes, so I just left that spot.

Luckily I haven't been to many concerts where the mentioned stuff has happened frequently, but I will say this. It pisses me off when people do drugs/get high/get drunk at a concert. Why? Not only does it bother me, but why the heck did you come to a $100 concert just to get smashed? You can do that at home with a stereo on for all I care; let me enjoy what I payed for! And then there's all the people on TV when some unfortunate news channel is showing those drunks. I deserve their tickets :/

I pretty much agreed with everything you said. I saw NIN in Dallas last August, and while people screaming and clapping during "Hurt" DID happen, it didn't seem to be as bad as some of the stories I'd heard.

The last concert I saw was CAKE last Thursday. The crowd was pretty chill for the most part, but there was one guy near us that was stoned off his ass screaming random crap between songs. It wasn't too bad, but whatever.

Seeing NIN/JA in Austin next Tuesday. Pit tickets. Aw yeah. :D
