Pisco Sour is tricky but it tastes real good if made right (like you said) Being peruvian i can say it's good for sure!!

And you cannot make it with any other alcohol but Pisco (alcohol); otherwise it tastes weird.

A drink I came up with similar to this is combo of Bacardi 151 and Arizona Sweet Tea, the Sweet tea works so good with the 151 for some reason, I think that the large amount of Sugar that is in the sweet tea calms down how powerful the 151 is, try it you might like it.

Thanks for taking my advise and giving Scotch and Green tea a try. The most important thing about this wonderful drink is that you put A LOT of green tea! It's mainly used during drinking games where you have to drink a glass of alcohol each time you lose a round. Therefore, it has to be soft enough for everyone to drink, but at the same time it has to be hard enough to knock you on your ass if you keep losing. People end up getting hammered a lot faster than they realize! Keep it up!

@jakiwis Typically, you want to use bottled sweetened green tea when you mix this drink(Arizona is OK). The sweetness of the green tea will offset the bite of the scotch, and the nutrients contained in the green tea will help to counteract some of the negative effects of the alcohol. I never tried brewing my own green tea to mix with scotch, but I don’t see why you can’t. Just make sure that all of the sugar is dissolved in the tea before you cool it down and you should be good to go. Good Luck!
