  • LOLOL SO SICK!!!! THE DRUMS DESTROY MY MIND!!!!

  • this is a demo for recreate, no misha mansoor in it

  • misha, get out of this. you want nothing to do with the douchelords in boo.

  • he made the vocals sound like shit. other than that its pretty kewl

  • This is amazing. The original is too bassy and the guitars get lost in that low mid frequency too much. Vox sounds awesome.

  • this is actually a better and clearer mix than the original. vocals are just a tad too out in front. other than that you can hear way more of whats going on in this version than the original

  • Well I like what he's done with the instruments, I think this is a better take on the vocals, gives us a better angle of what's going on with the song. But I definitely love the guitars now, much much clearer. Vocals are Raw like LIVE Raw. I think the original Vocals on these instruments would be beautiful.

  • Compared to the original, this sucks monkey balls man. misha should handle periphery's ass only

  • fucking niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice!

  • the vocals are too in the front of the mix but they're a lot clearer which is good

  • Sounds too 'empty' and kind of 'echoey'. vocals aren't nearly as heavy as before. guitars sound great but otherwise the original is better.

  • did he recreate the leads? because if so then they are perfect XD

  • Aww I wish Misha did my mixes :(

  • 1:23 Feels so much more authentic with Misha's vocal mixing. It's easier to hear the depth Mr. Canizaro puts into the word "home." Mansoor elucidates the important shit!

  • @edthehead83 "Home" ? I believe he says "No".... "No more wasted faith..."

  • @Brendanlikesthis 1:29 Is the exact time he says the word "home." That musical phrase though really starts at 1:23, and I just wanted to provide some context :)

  • @edthehead83 ohhh lol sorry. I getcha now.

  • @Brendanlikesthis he says" no more wasted faith, cause we are whole"

  • @tsunami2011 Cheers. I was right about it not being "home" ^__^

  • @edthehead83 actually Casey Sabol did the vocal production on these demos and Misha did everything else.

  • This sounds alot tighter than the other mix, but doesn't have the same impact. less body and fullness to it.

  • haha this is cool

  • lol Ronnie sounds like Spencer. Funny how different mics and mixing can do that.

  • @Moodownn Do you think all the instruments you hear were all recorded through a single microphone all at the same time? No? What you hear are tons of tracks panned and layered over one another that have been mixed down into one track. So it is a mix, very obviously.

Otherwise, you are correct. Just a demo recorded in prior to main production.

  • @Moodownn you must be insecure. or a dumbass

  • Misha didn't "Recreate" this song. BOO recorded three songs with Misha as a demo before their album was recorded.

  • @toxicapathy it is the original..

  • Why the fuck wasn't this version released on the album?.......I could've been listening to some super djenty shit for the past year on my ipod.....

  • misha?! lmao

  • less gain is more!

  • I too prefer the original..I don't even like Periphery..

  • @gorehammer42o

That's too bad. Have a nice life.

  • all you guys must have fucked up hearing because i could hear all the notes in boo's version too. i prefer the orig.

  • Damn......I like this mix so much more. Those guitar tones make such a difference.

  • I'm pretty sure this is just a rough mix. The drums are much thinner than what Misha usually goes with, especially the kick. The guitars are infinitely better produced than the original, though. You can't hear them at all on the CD.

  • Plug the pull can pull that dick out your ass. Call me a dumb fuck, fuck you faggot. I would straight up massacre you dude, And it's pull the plug dumb fuck.

  • Dude...that just fuckin blew my mind. The guitars sound so much better than the original hahaha

  • It's sad that they didn't go with this mix. Don't get me wrong, I like the mix they went with, I just don't like how undistinguishable the rhythm guitars are, I'd have loved it if they used this mix, maybe went with the drums they had in the final mix and maybe the same vocals. Otherwise this is pretty much perfect.

  • Every time that I listen to the final mix of The Discovery, it pisses me because the guitar is so unclear. The bass pretty much just overpowers the guitar.

  • hm you can actually tell what notes are at 1:10 now

  • @ClayAunkst Hey I thought the same thing discovery can be a bit "unclear" or "rough" at times

  • everything sounds better except for the vocals in this version

  • The mix instrumentally is really good but the vocal mix is meh.

  • Wow I can actually hear what the guitars are playing compared to the original fizzy tone.

  • @reallybigd lol trolling much? this is waaaay better.

  • better than porn :)

  • This is a demo of recreate....... its called visualised to perfection

  • i cant actually make out the rhythm section. lol

  • he did a great job of ruining a awesome song.

  • @Schrocky412351435 you know this is the original right? this isin't periphery at all, it is in fact, born of osiris before their album

  • I don't know man vocal's are just ehhh.

  • The song was good the way it was. YOU FUCK.

  • @1234mrjingles this is the way it was

  • @1234mrjingles This is the original you dumb fuck.

  • this is just pre-production you fools

  • the keys are audible!

  • the vocals sound pretty bad i dont like them. nothing changed but the vocals became bad -.-

    but the song is ok

  • I think the leads are a little louder on the original.

  • @AJConrady the guitars in general are just a bit more present in the mix because the mids aren't heavily scooped like on the album version.

  • @AJConrady I think Misha just brought up the rhythm tracks. Just by listening to it you can tell he made it by the sound.

  • These are demos that were produced by Misha before the final album mixes.

  • It's not, bad, but certainly doesn't sound professionally produced.

  • this did not need reproducing >_> fuck u misha

  • @rscricca lol, this was the original silly.... album release is second version...

  • Porn of Oriphery

  • @Jakeocide Brilliant.

  • now it sounds like some stuff by volumes :)

  • love it :)

  • Misha recreated the song. hehe.

  • It's Periphery of Osiris!

  • did misha just recreate....recreate???

  • Who the fuck did the vocals? it sounds almost identical

  • @UntilDeath333 The Vocalist from Periphery along with Misha Monsoor from Periphery.. Forget the vocalist's name though.

  • @ROFLBOB24 Spencer Sotelo

  • @ROFLBOB24 @hostile26 this is born of osiris playing and singing. Misha from periphery just recorded them. periphery's old singer casey sabol produced vocals as well

  • @ROFLBOB24 Spencer Stolleto

  • You call this a mix? it hardly sounds different...

  • @SirLizardTroop it sounds a lot different man

  • I honestly think this sounds better than the album production. maybe its just because im a guitarist and misha can make a fucking fat ass tone.

  • I want instrumentals!!!

  • if you think this is way worse and are basing misha's production skills off this, i'd suggest looking for the difference in production quality between animals as leaders first and second album. first album that he produced was a fucking masterpiece. new one is great...but seriously production value of the first one smokes the fuck out of it. misha's a great producer.

  • @thedearpsychonaut The first AAL album has garbage production haha, worst guitar tone I've heard in a while on a legitimately released album. But hey, to each his own!

  • I think that the happy medium is somewhere between the two mixes, I love the guitar tone in this mix, but I think it could have just a little bit more of a flat EQ, and slightly less of the Periphery mix heavy mix, and the vocals could be slightly more like the album version, overall I like this mix better though.

  • Definitely a superior mix by far, especially in the case of the guitars. But it sounds like the compression on the drums is making it pump in spots, like the ghost notes at 2:56. That and I think the compression on the main vocal is too agressive. Sounds squashed, but clear as day!

  • I hate this mix. Almost no dynamic range whatsoever.

  • @alcoholocaust I don't think there's meant to be a lot in this kind of metal, man. Stuff like BTBAM needs a lot more dynamic range to contrast the soft and harder parts, this song is just aggressive and in your face the whole time. I will agree though that it has the piss compressed out of it. Especially in the case of the snare and vocals!

  • @Jdcie So this kind of music is meant to have digital clipping all over the place? If you want a louder song then turn up the volume. Kids like you are the reason the music industry is in such a sorry state.

  • @alcoholocaust oh adrian, i love you.

  • @alcoholocaust Nice man, feel better about yourself now? I sent you a link to an article from Sound on Sound that's a great read and very informative. Read it and learn something... And make sure to actually read the whole thing, there's a lot of good info to take away from it.

  • im not sure im going to be able to listen to the normal mix anymore after hearing this :|

  • This version is so much better than the original.

  • If only the vocals on this version weren't garbage (not that im implying the original vocals were any good either, they both suck). Other than that this is 10000% times better than the original.

  • This version sounds a bit more... epic, for lack of a better word. I just don't like the sound of the snare in this one.

  • @Nowheremovies These are the originals actually, Misha produced 3 tracks before they were done in the studio

  • this sounds like spencer does a few vocal parts or misha idk fuck it BoO is still good

  • this is sick. the vocals in the original discovery tracks sound better though

  • Better separation in Mishas mix. Very good. Although the good that oozes from my speakers with the original mix is fantastic. Wall of sound with plenty of detail.

  • WAYYY To much reverb in my opinion

  • both versions are balls to the wall. dont b a deusch comparing sounds. its the same BOO song ok with a clearer gurtleing guitar. i love both sounds of the version since i own the CD.

  • neither version sucks. both are phenomenal.

  • The vocals on this version were too edited, other than that it sounds good

  • this is way better than the original!! I hate how the guitars sounded, too metallic, cold... this is much more pleasant to listen to, imo.

  • too much separation, with good heaphones, the album sounds fne like it is in my opinion

and the vocals sound fuckin weiiiird, i always thought they were awesome but here they sound also half as shitty as spencer :/

  • @ImaDjentleman Kill yourself

  • @DrummerX77 lmao periphery fanboy?

  • @ImaDjentleman Yup and damn proud

  • @DrummerX77 me too but ima instrumental periphery fanboy :)

  • Hmm, Misha is epic but I like the original better. Maybe it is just that I'm used that original version so it is confusing to hear this one..

  • Instrumentally I thought this was a such an improvement! I can't say I agree on the vocals, but I would definitely prefer this.

  • the instruments are clearer on this. but the vocals are better on the album

  • Misha does work. This version WRECKS the other one. The vocals are much clearer on this.

  • The guitars are cleaner but the throaty sound from the vocals that normally gets erased in the mix is very present.

  • The vocals are thin but I definitely like how they seem...more on top of the other instruments.

  • i like this one better ^_^

  • i like the album version better, to me the vocals are better and you can actually hear the bass

  • It really sounds like periphery, its kind of wierd.

  • i prefer the original, much more balanced

  • The vocals sound a lot worse.

  • Sounds like all he did was turn down the bass and distortion......

  • this is a good mix but i prefer the bass tone in the original and vocals in this are a bit thin just my opinion though =)

  • Meh pretty sloppy mix. Drums are bad. Overall mix is really unbalanced. Vocals are hard to complain about because it's crap in crap out in the recording world so it's not really his fault for sub par performances. Though he could have compressed harder. To be fair this was pre production. Can't wait to see BOO though :D

  • Every time Misha produces, I feel like he uses the same tones and everything that he uses for Periphery. It's annoying tbh.

  • @99mag3r99 All the bands he produces use an Axe-Fx unit haha so... maybe that's why the tone sounds so familiar.

  • @summitthescale It's not just the tones that are the same, the drums are pretty much the same as Periphery's as well.

  • I personally think this sounds much better and clearer than the Album version

  • the instrumental mix is a lill better but the vocals are worst

  • Album version better fo shooooo

  • better. nough said

  • this has better vocals. and everything sounds better

  • Yeah I'm gonna have to say the Album version is better.... The guitar tone Misha uses just doesn't sound heavy at all compared to the album version... The album version is a more crisp smooth sounds while Misha's is kind of... idk soft and bubbly? I guess haha idk how to describe it... No offense to Misha at all I love al lthe work he has done

  • @Whatheheckman Misha doesn't use so much gain and picks rather hard. I honestly prefer it over more distorted chugging that's almost hard to understand.

  • periphery was on tour when they were recording the album, that's why they went with bota studio instead. i bet if misha wasn't on tour the album would've sounded similar to this

  • I think the point of doing this was to make some cool bonus tracks, not to outdo the originals and just make them sound better, that's why bulb used his own tone it sounds like

  • I think I prefer the original over this, but Misha's production is good too.

  • Actually for all of you idiots who don't know what they are talking about, BotaStudio produced their album. It's in their studio update videos.

  • I think the vocals sound better on the album

  • the guitar tone sounds to much like Bulb, but everything else sounds a lot better i got to admit, Misha is definitely a lot better at production because in the normal version the drums are harder to hear in my opinion

  • smoking!!!

  • @Nowheremovies UMAD?

  • originals are way fucking better

  • @Nowheremovies so then go watch the originals ?

  • @TheSilenceIsBroken1 he's expressing his opinion, it's what the comment system is for, for people to troll and argue about random things... It's brilliant. :D But I agree... It just sounds too over produced, and Singularity sounded like a cover performed by Periphery haha. Are you sure this isn't the demo?

  • I'm glad they went to Bota.

  • i honestly prefer misha's version of recreate and singularity better, but follow the signs on the record ended up being better.

  • the sound that has made it onto the cd is better than this

  • I think the production here is way clearer, and the rhythm riffs cut through way better, but it sounds too similar to periphery. I think that's why they didn't end up doing the whole thing with Misha.

  • @thespoon Imo , They Should've . Misha's a WAY better producer than whoever produced this .

  • @TheSilenceIsBroken1 they produced it themselves

  • @TheSilenceIsBroken1 Could have sworn misha was the producer for the whole album? :/

  • @TheSilenceIsBroken1 themselves haha

  • @TheSilenceIsBroken1 His production skills are way better, but I think if he were to just start producing all of Sumerian's heavier bands, then we would end up with that whole "sumeriancore" thing that happened a few years back. Except people might call it bulbcore, or peripherycore, or something stupid, haha.

  • @TheSilenceIsBroken1 Misha produced this....?

  • @Drumtome Yes , Sir .

  • @TheSilenceIsBroken1 Correction, BoO produced this, Bulb only remixed this song and singularity, I think the original mix sounds like they did not got money for a better engineer...

  • @TheSilenceIsBroken1 Sounds great but I agree, the guitar tones sound like they are jacked STRAIGHT out of Periphery. If anything, his main problem is he makes everything sound like him lol. His mixes don't have a lot of variety these days.

  • @Drumtome this version yes

  • @TheSilenceIsBroken1 Misha is a wonderful producer. The problem with him is that he wants EVERY thing he produces to sound like him.

  • @thespoon i agree. very good observation.

  • @thespoon i agree so much, boo gotta be puttin in some mids lol their rhythm tones were way too bassy IMO

  • @thespoon Born of Osiris produced the album.
