Yes, agreed... BEST movie ever. Michael Mann, for whatever reason, gets laid out by the public sometimes.... Miami Vice, though not perfect (what is in life lets face it) was an incredible movie,...or at least certain frames, images, scenes,...'feelings'.... HEAT touches to the core in so many ways, truly remarkable. Btw,...set the stage and 'bar' for what modern day gun scenes and showdowns should be! Go mike mann, and the cast of Heat!!

I think that Michael Mann make movies that don't make sense to the general public cause when most people go to the movies, they aren't looking to have to think about the movie in general, they just want to be entertained. He makes u think and really understand the characters in his films. and make u make a decision, do i like him or hate him or can i be that person. i think it is brilliant

I think Mann gets underrated alot. Heat is definitely the best movie I've ever seen hands down. I really liked Miami Vice. I also really liked Collateral. I have not seen Public Enemies yet. But I don't think he will ever top Heat. I mean it's a remake of an old movie. But the script was much better, the plot was more in depth, it was just all around a better film than his previous version of LA Takedown. Top notch actors also helped alot too. I don't think one could ask for a better performanc

Those are really the only Michael Mann movies I've seen though so maybe there are some that aren't very good? I think the oldest one of his that I ever saw was Thief and I absolutely loved the movie. Even for as old as it was. I think Mann does some great movies.
