God my sister and I used to do NOTHING but RAG on Martika throughout this ENTIRE show. That's all we did. We just made fun of every move she made. We laughed hysterically at how annoying she was when she sang!!! All her OVER-exaggerated gestures and facial expressions. She always bugged out her eyes and moved like she was on crack! We felt embarrassed FOR her. She always looked like she thought she was some huge singing sensation!

I get sad when I see performances like this. There are so many extremely talented people like this - yet only a tiny fraction of them can make a successful career out of their talent. One day singing like an angel.. the next day, scraping grease out of the deep fryer trap. HOWEVER.. I'm almost certain they are lip - synching. Any performer who is this perfect is almost always lip synching. Getting the sound right on a stage in a live performance is next to impossible.
