I had the honor of playing Fergie in the Mini series Canada Russia 72. I only had 15 minutes of my life with him. We were introduced prior to a golf game with team Canada 72. I walked up to the table escorted by Marc Savard, there was Brian Glennie, Serg Savard & Fergie. John looked at me with a glare & said "Your playing me" I responded "is that ok Fergie" he glared "No your much too handsome". They all laughed. That was my fifteen minutes of fame. I dont meet too many people like John.

Former Vice President and General Manager of the Winnipeg Jets, the greatest the former club ever had. I wish he could have seen the Jets return to WPG. He will be missed.
