  • Am very new to this game i have abu garcia bruiser combo rod reel combination and i use halco laser pro didnt get any fish on it till this time, tried 4 days but no luck, tried on sea side port estuary where stream goes in to river in the evening and out to sea in morning. Can you suggest a method of fishing there am on shores of Arabian sea estuary India Kerala.

  • They are great lures and catch fish, Keep trying, but also pays to check with local knowledge and target areas that hold fish? Check with your local tackle shop and see if they can give you some tips. time and experience does help,

  • Great lure the Halco laser Pr and must have in your tacklebox, Great for Giant Trevally too!!

  • you shouldnt use gafting hooks on fish your going too release!

  • Good point, but gaffing in the mouth area does little damage and enables you to handle them better and quite often we will swim them on the gaff before releasing,

  • Halco laser pros are such fantastic fish catchers...

  • Halco laser pros are pretty awesome, and one of my favourites, definate must have in the tackle box, We get a lot of mackerel on them as well,

  • great channel great vid nice one

  • Cheers, plenty of great fishing videos, pretty spoilt in Mackay with a good choice of fishing options and species.

  • what line was used mate.. kindly do post it..

  • We mainly use 50lb braid, with a two metre shock mono leader of 100lb, and usually a short wire trace as we get alot of mackerel around the reefs. Although you don't need wire for Giant trevally. You can go lighter on the Braid, or mono for sportsfishing.

    cheers Greg

  • Nice catch. How long did it take to land the fish and what rod were you using?

    CHEERS

  • Took about 15mins for this one, I think the rod was a Saltist, Nice Giant Trevally!!

    Cheers Greg
