@liam4murray1 I can remeber there was somethingbut the claims were made up after he fired a stage hand anyways the cops investigated it but no wtongdoing was founds beside u shouldnt dishoner him becuse its disrespectful
I remember everytime the door went every kid I knew (including myself) would annoyingly chant "There's somebody at the door". We must have driven our parents insane *lol*
I feel sorry for the mug in the croc costume. No lines at all, and getting fried under those hot studio lights. Still, at least Rod Hull had Portsmouth and Southend to look forward too after his little show was canned! WAY TO GO MAN YOU'RE GOING PLACES!!
Fabulous!!!!!!!!!!!! I loved pink windmill~ grotbags etc it was fab!! Clean houmour for kids and teaching you something other than these shows nowardays, which make kids into spoiled little brats!!!!!
I absolutely and genuinely ******* despised Emu's Pink Windmill Show. Even now I can't bring myself to watch more than a few seconds of this clip.
Loathesome, vomit-inducing stage school kids doing song-and-dance crap crap with some stupid pantomime bollocks (and annoying characters) thrown in. Incredibly camp, but not in a remotely charming or entertaining manner. (continues)
(continued) Worst thing is that I remember when I was a bit younger (before Pink Windmill came on), I'd *really* liked Rod Hull and Emu's previous show (whatever it was called).
I can't remember that much about it, but I do remember that it was *totally* different in style. No horrible kids, no stage-like sets, no stupid plots involving annoying pantomime villians.
If I can say one positive thing, it's I tend to associate Rod Hull and Emu with their earlier, less overloaded slapstick comedy shows and appearances (from what little I can remember). And I can almost forget that Rod Hull was the guy that started the chants of "There's somebody at the door" (oh, hang on, I can't now).
I just don't understand how they went from their earlier style to this truly offensive show.
OMG! Someone should have used a machine gun on this brats. There's somebody at the door? Yeah, a serial killer with a hatred of stage school kids. Brings back horrible, horrible memories of my childhood. What a good advert for birth control.
thats your own opinion.thats a really shitty thing to say.not all kids are nasty.i liked the show,i grew up with it.and more importantly i liked SOMEBODY AT THE DOOR! so stick that in ya pipe n smoke it!
i wonder how many children he sexual abused during that show

Richard Pryor once told Rod Hull that his Emu act was the funniest thing he'd ever seen. How did Rod ever descend to this?

Nah, it definitely was the Rocky theme tune.
The Portsmouth show was a bit lackluster if I remember, but they were back on form by the Southend show.
