i never got why machine head played nu metal and all that other crap. theyve always said they were influenced by all the great metal bands like metallica, slayer, pantera, preist, maiden, sabbath, so why did they never play metal? glad theyre playing metal now though.
@pivetlord13 considering them "nu metal" is kind of dumb metals metal and if u wanna call them nu metal u gotta realize their one of the first considering this album came out in 94 b4 or around the same time any of the other "nu metal" bands came out
I was called a creep yesterday. It really hurt my feelings. The girl that called me that just didn't seem to understand I couldn't help but touch myself while I stared at her. If that bus had a bathroom I would have used it, but it was a city bus and my raging erection wouldn't go away. Needless to say the bus driver wouldn't let me finish. No one cares in this world...
@RCobain03 I actually like his voice more then than I do now. His voice back in '94-'99 was deeper, more gruff, more rugged. He sounded more intimidating.
His voice now just sounds nasty, like he tries too hard.
why does my burn out brain think i saw coal chamber, machine head, and pantera in atlanta georgia way back in the day? it might have been Albany NY. wow i am old.
Burn my eyes. One of the best groove metal albums ever, right next to Vulgar Display of Power. Machine Head is awesome, hope they'r gonna tour europe soon!
right here in this concert this breakdown sounds so pantera like :D fuckin awesome :D makes me wanna fuck shit up just like pantera's domination breakdown if i'm not mistaken... 99 or so
To bad most of the band left after this album. They could have done great things but ended up being a shell of themselves. Blackening is no where as good as burn my eyes. I dont care what the die hards say no comparison.
nu-metal, groove metal, neo-thrash.... fuck that shit, stop to complaining 'bout their labels, listen to the music, if you enjoy it , good, if you don't, fuck u, get the fuck outta here, LONG LIVE MACHINE HEAD
holy shit.. the intro is the DESIRE TO FIRE riff.. god dammitt they played this riff 3 years before releasing BURNING RED itself and live and its now that i notice it.. freaking hell of a video.. cheers to you man.. fantastic vidz..
@artificialtribe666 This is their best performace of davidian. this their best time, they are still great, but this is their best faze. CORNROWS 4 EVER xD
They werent new metall they were groove metal, both being very close, but there wasnt much of a hip hop influence until flynne got his shitty corn roles in n shit
why did they fire the drummer ? i mean i heard all of machine heads later stuff and then one day i got burn my eyes, heard this song....it was over, a fkn wrap . This song is pawnage, id always rate it as one of the best metal songs in history
I respect your opinion but I think you should watch more oldschool MH live performances... I'm sure you'll see what I mean, it's obvious :) McClain is a ok drummer but incomparable to Kontos.
@raul1978 Agreed. But I remember reading and interview years back with the singer saying the drummer was having problems with injuries playing fast stuff with MH and decided to leave.
@raul1978 Kontos left the band because he didn't want to tour anymore. Robb Flynn said in numerous interviews back in the day that Kontos was basically lazy, and didn't want to fulfill Touring commitments. He said that was the main reason for the switch at Drummer. McClain does a good job as the Drummer. McClain's the reason the band's still around. They were gonna split in 2003, but Robb said Dave was committed to Machine Head, and them being the heavy band they should be.
last year we played a show with attitute adjustment in germany. i talked with kontos about his time with machine head. and what he said about rob flynn made me understand why he left the band...
So... they were writing Desire to Fire for pretty much like few years? So it seems, or they just needed a song for The Burning Red.

why does everyone diss nu metal? seriously, its not all shit, i mean its an important part of a metal heads history yeah? i mean i sure as hell didnt start off at the age of ten with my brother going "here try cannibal corpse youll like it" and expect me to like it right away, you progress with metal, start off something easy to get into and catchy and progress into death metal, its evolution. nu metal sucks coz everyone says it sucks, and most does suck, but remember you used to like it. PEACE!
@MeatFeastLive LOL!! there is no way that you went from a guy with no music taste and went straight into death metal ¬_¬ never works like that, most metal heads start off with the hard rock styles of ACDC and nu metal to ease their new taste in, its like the evolution in metal. it is a part in metal coz its there, yeah the nu metal bands suck compared to the other bands but say your my age, 17. started off with nu metal and then into the heavy stuff in time, if you 30+ it was punk. it makes sens
@alkennedy yeah man why do you gotta get all violent on the internet? why the aggression? we all get you have a small penis but theres no need to advertise it on youtube, theres thousands of viewers on this! get your prioroties straightened out man...
@MetalManJads99 wow theres a diffrence between nu metal and new metal nu metal is shit like slipknot and linkin park and new metal also sux like this machine head idk y robb flyn and phil did this vio-lence was wayy better all nu metal sux and i dont like new metal!
@ExpelledFromHell dude. both nu metal and new metal isnt all bad. new metal is the way forward coz if EVERY band sounded like the music from the 80s then its just gonna get boring. very. seriously i do like your opinion but you need to keep an open mind these days.
@MetalManJads99 well, i'm from '89 and started with metallica and stuff. i like "burn my eyes", but later albums didn't kick me...so i went back to megadeth, and from there to exhorder. in most cases it's the older bands i like. newer metal stuff just doesn't have "it" (for me).
@schnubbilator well, respect. your opinion :P but theres people that just go about saying that it sucks and noone should listen to it. which is pretty false coz someones gonna like it. i like the small majority of it. not too small a majority, but its something i would show someone if they have never heard metal before. wouldnt just blast some cannibal corpse or behemoth. would blast on some old school linkin park or old school Korn. :P just to ease them into it i mean. know what i mean?
@MetalManJads99 you mean, that you get them used to "harder" oder "heavier" music, so that they get a taste of what expects them in the world of metal?
I was lucky enough to get into machine head just as they came out and caught the first round of tours in the uk with logan mader was good line up but they were just as good live if not better without him tbh same with drummer dave is way better drummer ,Thank god at the same time i managed to see sepultura in same year with max on vocals with the chaos ad tour they werent the same after he left
Damn had the original Drummer and Guitarist. Logan & Chris!!!!! Damn OLD!!!

@MetalManJads99 well, i'm from '89 and started with metallica and stuff. i like "burn my eyes", but later albums didn't kick me...so i went back to megadeth, and from there to exhorder. in most cases it's the older bands i like. newer metal stuff just doesn't have "it" (for me).
cheers

@schnubbilator well, respect. your opinion :P but theres people that just go about saying that it sucks and noone should listen to it. which is pretty false coz someones gonna like it. i like the small majority of it. not too small a majority, but its something i would show someone if they have never heard metal before. wouldnt just blast some cannibal corpse or behemoth. would blast on some old school linkin park or old school Korn. :P just to ease them into it i mean. know what i mean?

@MetalManJads99 you mean, that you get them used to "harder" oder "heavier" music, so that they get a taste of what expects them in the world of metal?
getting them into it step by step?
