  • Fuck, this is off the chain you look like u been using the Mpc for a while.

  • lets colab email me xsquadrecords@gmail.com

  • Man can you tell me what lengths you put the blocks to make it drop nicely into the bass and main verses???

  • @BrianPerrotti - The flips are in blocks of 4 measures each. This gives me enough to play with when I want to improvise keys/piano over the track. Also, it gives me me enough to work in key changes.

  • @TaurusBeats nice..ima try that next time i load reason up. man ill let u know when I gotta new beat!!

  • You are correct in that great Hip-Hop has been made by sampling. It's part of the foundation of Hip-Hop. But the law is still the law until we do something to change it. Let's work to change the law.

  • fuck the sampling law.thats how great hip hop beats are made.am i correct or not???

  • jw how you gonna sell a beat that you made with a sample? did you buy the rights to the song? haha jw

  • @StuartJames34 - I only sell my part of the beat. I let my customers know that I am only selling MY creations. If a customer wants a beat with the sample, they have to clear the sample with the owners/publishers in order to use the sample, but I give permission to use my part of the beat. The customer pays for and gets the beat without the sample to use in a derivative work. Good question. Hope that helps.

  • @StuartJames34 you can sample freely, that is when your sample is not longer than 8 seconds.

    ha.ha

  • @daydreamproducties - I've heard that before, but I'm not 100% sure that's correct. A sample, no matter how long it is, is still protected by copyright. However, sampling is still allowed, it's just what the final product is used for that raises the money flags. In short, the law really doesn't care too much about WHAT a sample is used for. As soon as something is sampled, the copyright protections kick in. It's an issue much bigger than I can cover here.

  • kryptonite

  • westcoasting

  • is there a way to add songs into the reason 4 program and sample from that?

  • @Weneed2Bseen - I don't think so. Plus the file size of your .RSN file would be huge. I recommend working with smaller chunks of songs within Reason devices like the NN-XT and NN-19.

  • download 'recycle 2.0' program.. it accepts wawe file format so convert the song you like to sample from into wawe, then load it to recycle 2.0 inside the prograM you can slice up the song into pieces (each slice will match a key onthe keyboard) then save IT. The sample''s fileformat you made out with RECYCLE matches DR.REX load recycle sample to REX and yo may as well nice sampling even without a midi keyboard

  • Too sick

  • yo thus beat is Epic!!!!!!!!!!!!! i want the akai mpd 26 sooooooooooo bad.!!! i got reason with no midi controllers!!!!!!!!!!! nooo!!!!

  • do u have any where i cud download and listen to the hole beat like not how u make it? this is really good

  • Ok, I have send a first note before.. I was wondering how do u add ur sampler itno reason 4 where each pads will have different sound when u hit them. How do u set it where each pad i touch it plays different sounds???

  • use recycle and chop the samples. save as a .rex file ...then in reason create a dr. rex module....open the .rex file u created in reason....WALA!!

  • Nice Beats Men!! check out mine PEACE OUT!

  • MrTheGardner: I use them both, but most of the time I use the NN-XT because it allows greater control of the sample slices.

  • Man you already know what i'm bout to say big homie...Hot shit...You from the DMV right!?!?! Lanham representer all day homie!!! Keep doin ya thing!!

  • This is really good stuff

  • Great beat! Are you sampling from vinyl or from a mp3?

  • johnnykilroy9394: mp3

  • Thanks for the response. I've never sampled anything; is it necessary to sample from vinyl anymore cause i'd hate to waste money on a turntable when i can just sample from mp3s?

  • You could sample Mp3's. But know that everything what you can find on the web, is also accessible for others. With Vinyl it's an other story. There are very rare vinyl records, and there are a lot of vinyl records which you can't find on the web. I started off with sampling from Mp3's from the web, but I got caught sampling a already used sample over and over again. It never happened me since I use Vinyl. And you can just get a USB turntable, for like €70. Just search the web

  • u can sample anythingg if you cant buy the equipment jus download fruity loops

  • could u make a vid 2 show us how u put the audio on the mpc. im trying 2 get an mpc so i want 2 learn how 2 do that

    Keep up the good work.

  • wow, nice one homie!!

  • yes sir that is another sick one.

  • Sick, most people would avoid this because its so new and just rely on the same-o soul samples. The beat is dope. Props

    My superhuman might - Kryptonite.
