I got over 5.5 hours on normal use (iTunes, webbrowsing, Photoshop etc.) from it and I imagine if I put it on powersaver mode I could have got over 6 hours with wifi on. So it's I can see it lasting 7 hours if I was just typing a word doc and doing a bit of web browsing.

Sent it back for the 1530 in the end though as it has more power.

Both Windows and Linux run perfectly well on a Mac. The remote that comes with them looks a lot nicer than the one shown in the video, you gotta admit.

I ordered this laptop!! i dunno why they said 2 USB were bad but its got bluetooth so why would you need more. I imagine that the battery life is crappy. 7 hours is a lie.. can a extra 3cell s give an extra 6 hours??

The XPS Sucks!

First, I made the purchase in August and I had to wait a month to get the unit. This unit is constructed poorly. The first one had a problem with the screen. It had multi-colored lines running vertically covering a quarter of the screen just left of the center. Made the unit totally unusable. I waited two weeks for a replacement. The new unit had the screw to the access compartment for the WWAN card totally stripped. I couldn't transfer the card to my replacement laptop.
