I really don't see the issue people had with the story. It' very engaging and moves the gameplay along very well. People thought the characters weren't deep enough. Well, what are you expecting, a Spielberg movie? It's a game. The main characters are quite likeable in my opinion, which is what matters.

How the hell could you have said that the weapons don't sound powerful?I have seen the walkthroughs and the weapons sound awesome,in fact,so awesome that the singleplayer and especially multiplayer is noisy.

Most of the guns in killzone 3 sound different than they sounded in killzone 2. For example, the m82 in kz2 sounded like a bb gun. In killzone 3, it sounds a lot better more like a real gun. I highly disagree with the sound, i use Aston

Are you kidding me?

They sound fine, the gun noises are a merit; nothing to complain about.

They have a wonderful far-off noise when they're unseen, and they feel meaty and have sound to back it up when in use. The gun noises were upgraded from Killzone 2, which were already amazing.

Also, the boltgun and Helghast execution weapon, minigun, and WASP were worth singling out for their satisfaction.

Pretty good review.

@emdognyc I heard that the framerate drops when you turn on the 3D. Just go for the 2D, a lot of sites have been praising the visuals, which you can really appreciate if you go for 2D

Brilliant review Elder Geek, I like how your always honest and I really like that you said something nice about the soundtrack, it's a shame not many think much about the music in games these days.

I'm saving my money for Crysis 2 and Uncharted 3(only have enough for 2 games =/) I'll ask for Killzone 3 and Elder Scrolls V as Christmas gifts =P
