  • really precision stroke!!

  • Where can I get that met its fucking awesome.

  • is is just me or is all big dudes extremely good at drumming

  • Which one of Snow White's Seven Dwarves did Chris hire to do the click track?

...one And two And three And four And...

  • you can even keep an eye on his sticking and you wanna follow the rythm by clappin'. Na aa a

  • and 1 and 2 and 3 and 4.. offspring :D

  • one woman in the entire audience...

  • is he a chinesse black or he is high as fuck?

  • I tried painting myself black to make me better at drums, but I only ended up making a mess

  • @rollinfever15 Benny Greb, Wolfgang Haffner, Stanton Moore, Dave Weckl....there are just as many great white players ;) I´m white too...and make a living playing Drums. Although sometimes I´m the only white Guy in the Band! :D

  • good advice brotha!!

  • why am I mad right now?

  • For a second there I thought Chris Coleman was covering Stanton Moore...but I guess it was an intro.

  • BLACK GOD.

  • And 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and ...

  • estos tios del publico parecen del kkk

  • LOL I like how is cymbals are tilted away from him!

  • Man's a legend.

  • i want that snare sound.

  • @tomsandersmusic Damn it! hahaha xD

  • Acrylic sets are the best sounding sets

  • My 2nd favorite drummer. His technique is flawless. He KNOWS what he's playing, musically. Not just hitting the drums, seeing what sounds good.

  • When he spoke,I felt like I was at church.

  • @JCdrummer33 i agree it is a ridiculous metronome, but saying the subdivisions out loud as you play is so helpful. it works towards, basically 5-way co-ordination, and you have 100% awareness of what you are playing

  • 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and 1 and 2 and 3 and 4

  • @JCdrummer33 YOU DIDN'T FINISH THE LAST BAR!!!!!

  • haha. no style at all.. check my solo's for real drumming.

  • he definitely has some dennis chambers in him

  • 'Everybody has a nitch"

  • I love the way he emphasises that it's loving to play that kicks off the whole thing. You have to love it. Loving what you do will make it resonate with you. Loving what you do is, quiet literally, the gift that keeps on giving. Great attitude to have. Love this guy's vibe!

  • this is one happy drummer!

  • Incredible drummer. He should've call the abc thing rim - revelation, incubation, manifestation - it spells rim, which is then drum related :P

  • @MrRyanSams it makes sense from how you state it , but either way , he should just simply call it the RIM system. Shouldn't matter that it relates to hardware on a drum kit.

  • Alguien sabe donde encontrar esa musica con la que toca chris coleman??

  • His set up is ridiculous...I tried it and I love it (and it's changing my fills style).

  • his beaters are cool..

  • wow what an insane drummer and cool person

  • YOU KNOW.

  • he is so good!!

  • Obviously great but he needs to lose the Christian preachy thing and that horrible lady yelling at him "and 1 and 2 and 3 and 4". Who is that, his wife?

  • @eqsmooth that'd be a programmed metronome buddy. and you realize you're shit talking about one of the most innovative and creative drummers in this lifetime?

  • @HeScreamsEpic fuck you it sounds like shit not music. who cares about a programmed metronome unless you are one on one w/ a teacher. stupid cunt

  • @eqsmooth haha you don't have a clue you insignificant troll.

  • @HeScreamsEpic Shove that clue up your oh so significant christian ass, ya know like? Bitch! Play don't preach. revelation, incubation and manifestation, and 1 and 2 and 2 and 3 and 4

  • @eqsmooth never said i was christian.. and im not preaching either, more or less just ripping on youtube trolls......... Chris Coleman rules

  • @HeScreamsEpic What did I say first and foremost? I wrote that he is obviously great. Quit reacting.I have every right to gently critique his teaching style, delivery and the programmed metronome. That would annoy me in clinic. I've been to hundreds of clinics and never heard such a thing. So back off. I watch thousands of drum videos. You trolled and found me and like you said you are the one rippin' or is it hatin? Take it easy.

  • @eqsmooth haha i wouldnt really call it 'gently critiquing' you 'stupid cunt'. and im pretty sure the only one who needs to take it easy is you, you dont see me writing paragraphs of complete bullshit.

  • @eqsmooth stop lessons and lose the metronome.....yeah who needs! those am I right Eqsmooth?! Its all about changing tempos constantly and improper technique.

  • @chernamin What an idiot. I've been to far more clinics than you would ever dream of. My comment was about annoying the SOUND of the metronome. I've never heard such a thing. If you want that noise in your head rather than an a click then have at it Hoss. Fuckin' dick.

  • @eqsmooth clinics? screw those! its like listening to a sermon!

  • Really? Don't piss me off. Here are JUST SOME of my clinic experiences for you. I have seen these drummers & bassists. Almost all were great. Jonathan Mover, ALEX ACUNA, DAVE WECKL (5X), LOUIS BELLSON (2x), TOMMY ALDRIDGE, DEEN CASTRONOVO, TERRY BOZZIO, MARVN SMITY SMITH, JOE MORELLO, ATMA ANUR, STEVE SMITH (2x, BILL BRUFORD, KENNY ARONOFF, TROY LUCKETTA, DENNIS CHAMBERS, BUDDY RICH (2x), SIMON PHILLIPS. Need I go on? Buddy Rich was such an asshole I heckled him. He flipped me off twice. Truth.

  • @eqsmooth twice lol damn smh

  • @srecar6 damn is right, broheme

  • @chernamin I forgot Stu Hamm and Billy Sheehan

  • I want the metronome :D

  • I want his drum set :3

  • those people clapping at the end were so lost lol

  • thumbs up if your from saginaw

    like me

  • the foot is not hard but chris is very very original drummer, big king, the master of solo, and the music is alive ²

  • that kick sucks!

  • Where do you get a metronome that counts like that?

  • @Drums5B Dr. Beat. Idk how much it costs, but my band director has one and hooks it up over a PA for the jazz band. It also has drum beats and you can change up the subdivision. I bet it ain't cheap.

  • @Drums5B Its the DB90 metronome.I have it. Its great

  • That single stroke roll he is playing at the end of this solo is ridiculously fast and even.

  • What Kind of metronome he has at the end I want one of those!!!

  • @Penillin Roland

  • Incredible but what kind of style does he drum ??

  • Incredible Drummer!!

  • Chris Coleman is the most inspiring drummer of the decade.

  • @connienaqvi9 What about Benny Greb ? :)

  • @connienaqvi9 I like to think of Benny Greb as 'the most inspiring drummer of the decade'. But that's a question of personal taste I think.

  • shame on the bassdrum sound...

  • @eskariot It sounds fine...

  • why are his cymbals tilted away from him?

  • @hjfkhgfckhcckhg That is probably what he finds comfortable or most efficient.

  • He will kill tony royster anyday

  • great3

  • I want him to be my uncle!

  • What beat are the people on the front row on?????????

  • Simply the best

  • If God played drums, i bet he'd play that set!!!!!!!!

  • Great band instructor!

  • what is that ride cymbal he's using at 0:48 .....I want one.

  • @AdamBond7 20" Byzance Extra Dry Thin Crash, used as a ride.

  • @FurlanPaolo @Adambond7 Nope, this is a Byzance dark raw bell ride 20'

  • @frank4080 Thanks for the correction.

  • Unbelievable chops and great creativity= a great drummer and teacher!

  • That SQ2 is awesome.

  • Men this video is very amazing

  • One of my TOP fav all time drummers just do to the creativity and not sounding like evrybody else! Stev gadd n vinnie tho are my top for there creativity n technique! Check my drum vids out at eclef on here, honest opinions n thanx.

  • "Revelation....Incubation.....Manifestation...."

  • I love african american drummers, So much groove and passion. amazing stuff

  • "Everybody has a nitch, you know?" <3

  • Met him at NAMM - great drummer and a really humble nice guy

  • Every time he talks and does a clinic, watch how he has to always be touching his set. Usually he's tightening up the cymbals. Such a drummer; we always have to have our hands doing something musical even if we're talking!

  • thumbs up if 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and is stuck in your head

  • I Love his freedom in the pocket!! So comfortable!! Natural sounding when he flows around the kit.

  • best in the world today.....

  • Gary Coleman has been reborn to play drums.

  • like a tree swinger

  • @hisokabr Did you mean "true" swinger? Otherwise, what you said is totally racist and useless.

  • most underrated of all drummers imo

  • DUDE! The last minute of the video is heavy shit!

  • It's somewhat more sensible to do clinics for drummers since the audience doesn't so easily grow tired of watching and listening when it comes to a shiny and loud drumset.

  • ... YOU KNOW ? :D

  • i feel like i see drummers going crazy like this all the time so its not impressive to me anymore.

  • @SucramNumber2 Listen to what he's doing. He's not just hitting everything he can. There's a definite form to it. And he has complete control over what he's doing, so he's not going crazy.

  • @smurfhunterguy hes not the only one who does this. its not impressive anymore.

  • @SucramNumber2 Let me get this straight, you don't like good drummers?

  • @smurfhunterguy no, i like good drummers and i am a drummer. but i see it all the time. its not jaw dropping to me as it once was. im not sayin hes not good, just that im not impressed.

  • @SucramNumber2 Who impresses you then? Lars Ulrich?

  • @SucramNumber2 Not impressive, sure, if you don't play drums.

  • I loveee me some Chris Coleman!!!! Had a chance to meet him in Atlanta recently. Wonderful person and dedicated to his craft.

  • he just started teaching in the middle of playing lolz

  • That's a weird sounding bass drum. Cool playing though.

  • Baterista creativo, de fuerza , gran velocidad; de lo mejor que me ha impresionado ultimamente en su genero !!!.

  • who is his drumtech? his drums sound so fucking good!

  • He walked by me when I was at the Meinl booth at the Musikmesse in Frankfurt. He caught me starring at him, cause I wasn't sure if it was him or not. Must have looked funny ;)

  • how´s the song called right in the beginning? or is it just an hudson jingle?

  • @josdrums It's squash blossom by STANTON MOORE baby!

  • anybody knows where 2 find what he is playing along 2?

  • @tallest94 Dr. Beat metronome. There's a voice setting.

  • that crowd is so enthusiastic :-)

  • an wan an tu an thri an fo

  • i could see him using zildjian...i dont got anything against meinl but zildjian is the way to go in my opinion

  • @drummerboy11695 He used to use Zildjian, but then he went to Meinl

  • @smurfhunterguy yeah...i ive seen him use them in other videos, and they sound great....i think zildjian fits chris better though

  • @drummerboy11695 no way man nothing beats Meinl

  • @SamsDrums1 well like i said....zildjian is my type....meinl just isnt my type

  • What is the name of the song he starts playing to @ 2:10

  • @babyqueencity i think it was just some sound affect on his metronome :D

  • @beatcrazy14 ok thanks

  • Walla Walla by The Offspring anyone?

  • I want that sample..1and2and..

  • i want that snare

  • What is that snare????

  • @KurdtKobain09 ... there`s plenty of bad ones out there , trust me

  • You were my first drum teacher in Michigan, now im playing on the road on my way to mississippi to play for one of the biggest artist of this time!

  • I saw Chris Coleman do a clinic at DiCenso's Drum Shop in Weymouth, MA, last year. He was a mind-blowing player and also a super-sweet guy. Awesome stuff!

  • i can even maerry him if he teaches me those last part chops !! <3

  • 0:27 where did he cum up with that beat?

  • lol at the guy in the white shirt in the front row who claps on his own at 2:24.

  • I love that metronome! ^_^

  • can anyone tell me what ride cymbal that is?

  • @HunterGathera Meinl Byzance Dark Raw Bell ride. I think the size is 21"..

  • @wolfpack9iloilo thank you. I might have to get one

  • saganaw mi awesome i love the guitar center there

  • i wish they showed the freakin last 15 secs of him drumming....

  • very possibly related to Gary Coleman

  • People should go practice instead of talking shit.

  • @JovianMeissner not true. Listen to some more of his stuff.

  • @youngprofessor , A B C system........watch at around 2 mins....(just a joke you know...!!)

  • Very John Blackwell.

Explosive chops with impossible speed and precision.

    Nice.

  • @brettorrmusic I mean no disrespect but there are a lot more drummers who are Precise....not just John Blackwell....his influences Billy Cobham,Dennis Chambers and Yogi Horton just to name a few are some of the reasons why Chris and John play the way they play.

  • What an amazing drummer. Wish I had half that talent!

  • wow!

  • one of the fastest hands and cleanest licks in the game!!!

  • why do I drum?

  • @KurdtKobain09 No. I would say it's just observant.
