Alas, all of the pumpup and precontest activities are confined to the Admiral Room while the stage is in the Grand Sation Ballroom.
The hotel staff graciously makes the tanning-product-stained sheets from the prior year available free-of-charge in the lobby to all contestants. They still reek of pina colada scented tanning products and muscled sweat.
@steerpike66 The old stained bedlinens were gratis and many people took more than one set. They had three laundry carts discretely placed along the wall near the back of the lobby.
@zippyman818 -- That's very nice of the staff, considering that at most hotels contestants would be banned from the hotel if they got tanning product on the sheets! The NABBA Nationals lost their venue at Middletown HS in PA last year because of tanning product on the bathroom walls.
@bbwannab The NABBA promotor of the Nationals should be reprimanded for not warning the competitors and agreeing to clean up and make amends for the cosmetic damages.
This is why DREAM TAN is banned at most BB shows now, and venues have wised up to the possible damages.
Physique show promotors, of all organizations, should be more aware of this as it's hard enough to find a friendly local venue that's affordable and has enough capacity for a great fitness & figure competition.
