  • 'Semper Fidelis March' USMC Parris Island Band Stamford, CT

  • Lucky you... sitting down and whatnot.. my band has to do a fairly complicated march while playing this...

  • EPIC!

  • PATHETIC!!!

  • huh? no tuba? whats with that. during the trumpet fanfare.

  • I SEE BASSOON. GOOD :D

  • I love the drum break I'm playing snare to this song next Friday at my schools vetrans day program

  • I dont see or hear even one bari sax :(

  • Ughh, I love the melody towards the end. Its so folk-ish.

  • It's a cannon effect! Come on... lets hear it!

  • Does this Band's perform upon a volunteer basis or do it with musicians working for a salary ?

  • The Band operates as a Community Education course. Band members pay a small fee once a semester to be in the band. Music is purchased through audience donations at the concerts.

  • too slow... :S

  • Too fast! Try marching to that!

  • @mouchel1995 The problem is a concert orchestra performing here. Get 'em up marching and I betcha the tempo becomes more like a march.

  • @magno2020 agreeed

  • @magno2020

No man, if anything this is too fast. Have you heard the official U.S. Marine Corps Band recording of this?

  • the 1st clarient part for this is freakin crazy. theres notes ive never seen b4 in my life like screaming on the high high G!! :(

  • @worldwar2freak11 Try overture in B flat on 1st Clarinet! I've seen it! It has the high D above the staff!

  • @JWLR97 I was wondering if you are talking about the "D" 2 lines and a space above the the staff because the"G" in this march (the one @worldwar2freak11 is talking about) is 4 lines above the staff.

  • we sound way better than this and im just in a high school band and we are doing this song!

  • man you're so cool....

  • Clapping... really?? Come on, Sousa is going to roll over in his grave. Also, I never heard the 2nd and 3rd parts in the brass. The melody sounds good but bring out the other parts. Trumpets should be going from MF to F to FFF in the trio section, should be one big bulid up with the layers.

  • very good, but the corps does it better,, just joking,,,, but no really, the corps is better

  • Articulation!!!.......brass needs to speak out!!!

  • @notasharecropper It's not necessarily the best recording...the brass may very well have been articulating, but it's lost behind the quality of the recording equipment. :\

  • @notasharecropper agreed
