  • this dude can't hit the high notes. fake....

  • @norskyver yay, one more idiot in our idiotic world!!

  • @norskyver Better shut the hell up...he has the only voice on Earth..amazing perfomance !

  • Simply amazing

  • I have seen them live 4 times! They were absolutely amazing each and every time. The last show was Dec 2010 at the House of Blues in New Orleans. Amazing show!! After the show my wife and I went to Bourbon St for a couple hours... walking back to our hotel we had to pass in front of the HOB again and Brent Smith was walking out. I shook hands with him and he actually stopped to talk to my wife and I for about 20 minutes!! I cant wait to see him live for the 5th time!!!!

  • wow brent got pretty fat but really talented

  • @LiftRock Brent's not fat, he's clean. He didn't gain weight, he lost cocaine. :)

  • eric is the BEST! !! love shinedown :)

  • I got to see them and meet them They are pretty cool dudes.Their concert was amazing

  • i have wanted to see them live for 2 years almost three i love them and there music and lyrics i can relate to most there lyrics and i think Brent has an amazing voice

  • @sonade43 Wow. I've been wanting to see them for about a year. You'll see them soon. So will I. Or I'll go crazy.

  • i love this song

  • these acoustic songs by shinedown videos would have been even better with an acoustic bass and some bongos or congos. they should definately try that.

  • No acoustic versions of theirs are the same. Brent probably just 'wings' it every time =P.

  • ...Am I the only one who thinks that this is better than the original? I like how Brent just relaxed and sang in this and didn't really shout-sing... If a singer can't hit notes live that they hit on their records, they should mix it up and make it sound different live. Brent might have had to do that in this video; even if he didn't, it still sounds remarkable. Brent will always be an amazing singer in my book.

  • NOONE wants to sound exactly like the album live, if that's what you wanna hear, blast yer stereo louder, for god's sakes, your going to see a band live to watch them put their heart and soul into their music, he changes how it goes because that's just what you do. I'm in a band, we never sing a song exactly the same twice. it's just not what you do!

  • I really don't like the way that Shinedown is doing their acoustic sets anymore ...

much better when it was only Brent and Jasin .

  • You know u hear some bands live and they don't sound as good but shinedown sounds great live.!

  • i agree, but we also have to agree, with their mainstream pop move and all, Brent can suck live. I mean, its hard to sing on a nightly basis, especially when your newer stuff is more poppy and you cant hit the notes you recorded in the studio. Acoustic they sound great, and as a band they are generally great.

  • @TakerFan182 That's the price of being popular and singing every night. That's the problem when you get a greedy manager, more gigs means more money, for more money you need more gigs, so why have two-three gigs a week and maintain and save your voice, when you can torture yourself by doing it everyday on gigs while on tour. It's auto-destructive. No one can sing every night and give his best on each night.

  • i agree man. I do disagree that there are some bands that tour almost everynight with three hour shows, such as Rush, and sound good but in Brents case His voice hasnt stuck around as much. Hes an amazing singer, and if poeple such as us know he cant sing that way on a nightly basis, then he should know aswell. This is why I suggest he sing as he does on acoustic sets, where he selectively hits the high notes but more importantly focuses on staying in key.

  • Let his band mates assist him with the higher notes as they do here. it be a harmless move on thier part and make the show more interesting.

  • @TakerFan182 I couldn't agree more. I am taking some vocal lessons and trying to sing myself, that's what made me comment actually. But put singing aside, I think he is one of the greatest lyricists today. Every single song he wrote came straight from the heart, and that's what makes him as a singer, and Shinedown as a band, so distinct.

  • If you knew what he has been through you would understand why he talks about his life so much. His life is where every one of their songs come from

  • I love Shinedown ^.^ I really wanted to see them in consert but I missed it... failz. Anyways, I really liked his story ^.^ It was kinda touching x3

  • @XoCuteUmbreonoX All of his stories are touching.. Next time they come around to your neck of the woods, I recommend you go to the concert. They put on a hell of a show!

  • the reason why don't hit the high notes, is because of he's exhaused. If you see their tour plan, you'll understand.. Shinedown rocks

  • yeah but this was before the tour lol. this was last summer

  • @TorzyG True. And to the one who need explanation. Singing is not about high notes. it's about maintaining your voice and singing properly. Which he is doing .

  • yeh, i just hate when as a band, playing their songs as they do on the cd, he attempts to hit the notes he knows he only can on rare occassion, as opposed to doing what he does in acoustic sets and just trying to stay in key. Id rather him do that then try and fail. It make their electric sets better. acoustically, their awesome

  • saw them in philly supporting staind. i hope they come back.

  • Brent is SOO good

and Zach is so damn hot<3

Eric's falsetto was annoying though. XD

  • It didn't suck wtf are you talking about? He has to save is voice for the concerts. Hes constantly sings everyday for weeks straight.

  • loved shinedown ever since i saw them in concert.. hoping to see them again in the near future. awesome music!

  • i absolutely love his voice on this song, course i love all shinedowns song, but this is awesome

  • Still not a big fan of Eric's falsetto back up singing.

  • @coffman07 It's better than Seether's bassist, He's awful.

Still not the best vocals though, i have to agree.

  • my favorite song!^_^

  • What?!?!?! There not pop or reggae there just rock!

  • Zach and Eric are amazing playing this song.

  • Brad and Jasin would be better!!!!!

  • I dont think so. Everyone is different and I'm not going to argue.

  • It's nice to see him without the sunglasses and the leather jacket. ;) Thanks for posting this vid. :)

  • WOW !!! Thanks for sharing !
