Everybody should know this, goldfish are being given away at fairs,carnivals,thene parks, etc. They are dying massively by the loss of needs, little children do not know how to take care of them.They put them in a bowl and expect them to live. No oxygen equals death. So please help, I am only one person.

When my two big ones died I got new fish: One standard goldfish, one Black Moor (he's a huge brut and very friendly), and one weather loach in my 30 gallon; one male and two female Betta, and three coral Platies in a ten gallon. They keep me busy, and the sort of odd mix never gets boring! Will you replace your Gourami?

If knew of a vet who treats fish in my area I would have her looked at, but as far as I know there are none. She seems to enjoy me around her tank, so I do my best to "visit" every so often. I know she recognizes me, because if a stranger comes close she goes a little bonkers.

I know how you feel, just about a month ago I lost all my goldfish, 11 to be exact. They got infected with ick and several skin illness. I got them medications but little did i know that their gills got severely scathed with the illness and so did they die. Now my humongous tank is empty, I might try to raise a more low maintenance pet, a turtle. Condolences to your beloved fish. A little joke, 'Goldfishes go to heaven as sharks go to hell' not hilarious, but hey, smile :)
sometimes you have to accept that they died like my pet fish. My 20 gallon tank is full of goldfish but they passed away too, then my 5 gallon tank with goldfishes too died, and then my flower horn that died from dropsy too many pet fish of mine died so i replaced them with goldfish, shubunkin and feeders but i know all pet fish that died is in a better place.

What did you feed the thing. If its main diet was pellets then it died as a result of too much crude protien. You should feed your fish more vegetables than pellets.
