@LokizarroX Well, ur right. I played DMC 3 Special Edition on PS2 and i loved it! But i still think DMC 1 is the best because u can play as Trish, great combat compared to Devil May Cry 3 and touching story!!

Uhm I'm a bit confused, can someone help me out? Nelo is Virgil (Dante's brother) right? If he is, then why have they made him human in DMC 4 when he is a demon here? And how did Virgil become Nelo?
@Ezioisawesome No no, NERO is the protaginsit in DMC4 for half the game, NELO ANGELO is the demon form of Vergil that appears in DMC1, no relation.
How did he turn into a demon? I don't want to spoil anything for you but I'll say, at the end of DMC3, Vergil opts to go down to hell and attempt to do what Sparda has once done, defeat Mundus, the demon emperor, it doesn't show exactly what happened, Vergil just charges towards him, but from DMC1 it is apparent that Mundus took control of him.
@LokizarroX Ah thanks now I get some of it. But i have heard that Virgil's soul is related to DMC 4 in some way, I only completed the third game, so what happens to Nelo after you defeat him in this game? Does he die?

To answer your question, Yes, but you really should play the game, it's great, although the 3rd is probably my favorite in the series. DMC3 just has the best combos and gameplay generally in my opinion, but the original is still a classic and has great gameplay, a great story, a great soundtrack and brilliant graphics.

idk devil may cry is the best game of all time to me. I am on the colisium where you have to defeat the demon hawk for the third time. should I try dmc 2 because i heard that game sucks

Dante is a total badass in it but the story isn't very interesting and IIRC alot of weapons were cut from it, I haven't played it in a long time, but it's got nothing on DMC1 or 3, I would definitely suggest playing 3, it's probably my favorite one in the series, well it's between that and 1, followed by 4 and then 2.

@thrashkill666 why is it that we get so many euro fuckin guys giving reviews of video games these days? IF and thats a big fucking IF. why dont more guys like james rolfe give reviews on newer games? i know he only does retro games but if he didnt newer retro people would have a better understanding of what games are.
err.. this isn't DMC2 though.. it's DMC1, the original which started it all, it's a fantastic game, and yes, I'd probably consider 2 to be the worst in the series, and I may review DMC4 sometime, we'll see

I hated the battle system of DMC1. I liked it in DMC4 though, so hopefully 3's is more along those lines.
