Hey, anybody on here who would like to do the old school in today's versions? I'm on Facebook and Twitter ( don't bother with that much, but willing to do so). I love these tunes an am writer who can make 'em live on! Only those who are at least 35 years old! Talk to me! Doesn't matter where you are!
So, sweet grew up with this...aunt's and uncles parties...watching them do the sloop...OH yeah!!!
It don't get no better than Otis Redding, this is SING. U young R&B proclaim sings, pay attention how it's done. I know you got your own sound, but where is your SOUL when you sing?
I'm still amazed and saddened at the same time that this wonderful singer has left us too soon. I just love Otis Redding. He really had a future and has left behind a legacey. I do cry at times about him dying. I can't help it. It's so sad.
Goodness this surely reminds me of my early childhood days. Brings tears to my eyes because Otis and Carla sang so good together and Otis was thee very best. I can't believe that he's gone and has been for over 40 years now. Ya know what his music is still going on because he was that good. You can really feel what he's singing. God bless him. I will always love Otis.
I understand that Otis and Carla recorded their parts, separately at different times. WOW! Listen to that rhythm section. Steve Cropper, Booker T Jones, Donald Duck Dunn and Al Jackson.
My Veetle Channel will have this song on my Retro Countdown next week as I play the hits from 6-24-67. Go To Veetle dot com, channels, music tab, Current & Classic Radio shows and listen, we have an email and you can ask us for whole shows!

He was so good that he sang the hook instead of the female. Something you won't hear in todays rap/ hiphop songs. Ooh, I'm a lover.
