Why does it matter? the fact is it did, and always will. Well regulated, visionary forest management will always provided better long term solutions than reactionary, emotion based protestation. There is a demand for wood and wood products and a good forest management regime ensures this demand is met, whilst managing a wide range of forest values. The only truly renewable resource - wood.

Well said Paul! I guess that many people who view this, know about successful forest management. We can grow forest like this in perpetuity and still meet our timber demands but we need enough area to do it. As a nation, how we can condone importing timber from non sustainable logging when with vision we can look after ourselves!
