  • Back in the dayz !

  • 13 years old going to Goethe Middle School in Sacramento back when the school was called Goethe...those were the dayz.

  • I was one of the only people I knew to buy this CD back in the day. Can't believe more people weren't hip to SOM. Oh well, I am still a die hard fan. Limitations is my favorite jam off this album.

  • The beat to this song is immensely sick! Roll one up and zone out!!

  • haha man they were kids. I remember seein this video after school a few times. Then i heard it on new york undercover. They all went underground. I didn't really detect them until "they never new" which reminded me of this due to the environment. Then i noticed the 3 eye face and was like "hold up...." then del's part came up and i flipped out.

  • Clasic! :)

  • This track right here...and now Ab-Soul 'turn me up'. 2 incredibly beautiful Hip Hop tracks...20 years apart. Classic Hip Hop will never die, you just have to sometimes wait a bit for 'that tune'.

  • I thank god every day for beeing a teenager in the 90's. I would have hate beeing born in a different time. 90's was so special... new changes, new ways of lifes...real revolutions...style, everything..we lived all those changes, when internet was in dipers and excelent music was in every corner

I'm a rapper in a group called "After Nine", there is 3 of us. I won't even say

who I am because its not needed. But what is needed is people to hear us.

We always hear about people saying they want lyrical hip hop back, the old style,

this and that but no one ever takes action. Well we did. Check out the channel

and see what I'm talking about. If you don't like it, we'll thats okay, atleast you heard us. Thats all that matters

  • some of the comments here sound like they are coming from people who were born around this time. Thats cool that you love this. The difference b/n hip hop back then and now is that back then you could easily have 20 emcees or groups on serious rotation and then some. That would be unimaginable now.

One of the several songs I vividly remember the video of when I was younger. Same thing with Lords of the Underground - Chief Rocka and Arrested Development - Tennessee. Once I was like 16 and got reacclimated with classic hip-hop, I heard this song and was like "this sounds familiar"

  • @DJBuddhaJoe same here august 3rd 93

  • @23oscarmania I think that the generation of 93, is one of the last generations, that when we are teens, we can control ourselves, the generation 95-96, they are 15 or 16 and most of 'em think they are older, they want to grow faster nowadays. What a shame...

  • @DJBuddhaJoe dude..when this track dropped in 1993 the whole hip hop world were salivating over 'the next dope beat Dre was about to drop'! this track flew under the radar and bobbed up over the course of whack hip hop productions over the last 20 yrs with producers being unable to reproduce an absolute classic like this!!!!~ BIG UPS to Souls! - MONEY CAN'T BUY A PLACE IN HIP HOP HISTORY

  • @DJBuddhaJoe dude you lost he idea...we are not chillin til '93....we be chillin 'from' 93 til infinity!

  • never forget 9o 's

  • Heiro is the greatest!!

  • Golden age of rap... east and west coast just vibing bro....

  • This is how we chill 93 'till... early 2000's when it all went to shit.

  • @o0Mav0o No, dig a little. Underground hip-hop is bringing it better than ever.

    Early '00's?

    The Cold Vein

    MF DOOM's best work

    Will Rap For Food
