  • #52 was hustling..lol

  • If the Detroit Lions draft him, he will be the biggest sports Icon in detroit history.

  • wow thats awesome, celebrates a little more than his dad though haha

  • genetics are amazing! even though his body size is different, he has the same little hitch steps that kept his father's center of gravity so steady, and gave him the ability to explode and make tacklers miss.

  • Too bad Barry Sanders had to play for the shitty Lions. He deserved better!

  • @Dogfacesoulja8582

Archie Manning played for the shitty Saints, but it's like he paid the ransom for his kids, two superbowl winning MVPs isn't bad for one family. Maybe Barry Jr gets a Dallas Cowboys Emmit Smith Line if he makes it to the pros, and then we see some ridiculous numbers from Jr.

  • bama is in the hunt, bama made the cut with only 2 teams left!! what a running back... come to bama barry, roll tide

  • hes like a mixture of adrian peterson and chuck norris

  • Arkansas is a good Fit for him. They have been WILD the last three - four years Darren Mcfadden JUST SAYING! the run game is looked up upon in Arkansas.

  • should of just handed the ball to the ref when he scored like his father

  • @jwb864 well, it was an important touchdown in the state semi-finals, and he was only a freshman. look at his 2010 highlights, he doesnt celebrate anymore.

  • he takes 3 steps out of bounds (starting at the 0:44 mark). but nice run nonetheless.

  • clearly steps out of bounds at 0:44 on the 44 yard line.

  • @ghoststar i don't see how it's clear, one of the refs would've seen it, they both have a better angle than we do.

  • C'mon Barry. You know an orange blur looks cooler than a crimson one. Just ask your dad.

  • @86pimp3 ... nba kids huh? tell that to steph curry or kobe

  • I think he will get the most touches at Bama... since they run a run first offense.

    ROLL TIDE

  • Free shoes U?

  • All you guys have no clue about him I go to his school and hes going to Florida Sate

  • who ever gets this player will more likely become a national champion. more likely he will pick OSU. not ohio state but oklahoma state.

  • @EDJR0 more like Alabama.

  • @jaymitch23 no, that's just where you want him to go. He's actually expressed interest in Arkansas. But I wouldn't be surprised if he went to Okla State like his dad.

  • barry sanders will more likely will to oklahoma state. like his father did.

  • FSU!!!

  • hes high on bama. i hope we can hold on to him.

  • @SECISBEAST Bama would win the BCS NC in a heartbeat if that happens. I pray he doesn't commit to Bama though. Im an LSU and longhorns fan haha. He's going to be just as good or better than his dad.

  • @bigdawg3511 Those are incredibly strong words to say about someone who isn't even in college yet. His dad is potentially the greatest RB of all time and you're gonna say he's going to be just as good, if not better? That's one of the most ignorant statements I've heard in a long time. I hope that one day he can be as good as his dad, but let's be honest.. there has never been ANYONE like Barry. If Sanders Jr. is someday in the position his dad was, I hope he makes it, but doubtful...

  • @LaPalaDiN He is just as good. I'm going to watch him play tonight. You just saw a Junior is high school do things few can do. He is also an excellent receiver.

  • first of all it was not a dance at the end,he was just happy he got the td,look at the play guys,he almost tackle and got free so stfu with that sh1t,and i wish the real barry sanders the dad didnt retire so soon sad,he had like a great 3 years left in his legs, but good luck barry jr,i say if he can put up a few 1000 yard seasons in the nfl he did good lets not compare legends to thier sons, like mj and ect,bc that is bs,legends are legends, dont mean they make legends, but good luck lil barry

  • Wow I hope he does decide to come to Alabama, with Nick Saban for a coach he could have a very promising future.

  • @MrBigmike420 Definitely. If Crowell goes to UGA I think that would put us in very good position to land sanders next year. Main competition may be against OSU but from what I have seen most players tend to shy away from their fathers school to make their own mark on another school.

  • He danced more after this TD than his Dad ever did in the NFL after all his 109 TDs!

Let's just hope he keeps his head on straight.

  • You can't give all of the credit to "natural born talent". He wouldn't be anywhere today without hard work, motivation and focused dedication his entire life trying to get out from underneath his father's shadow. I don't envy being in that position.

I've seen him speak in interviews though, and he's a classy guy just like his dad. I'll be following this kid's career, and I sincerely hope he does well.

  • he's going to be just like his Dad, he's going to have a nice college and pro career if he does anything close to what his Dad did at OSU and with the Lions.

  • It didn't even look like he was running it was done so effortlessly.

  • AYE ISN'T IT SAID LIKE FATHER, LIKE SON.

  • amazing just amazing i would give anything to have the talent this guy has.. just remember dont get a big head and respect your teammates ull go far!

  • he lookz just like hiz dad when he cutz inside

  • damn i wanted to see if he was gunna give the ball to the ref like barry always did :P

  • well, i see barry jr. is a great player, his dad was awesome and i admire both. period

  • "DO NOT TOUCH HIM, DETROIT LIONS. Do you hear me? Your ineptitude has already cost us several years of quality Barry Sanders viewing, and if you mess with Barry Jr.'s career, it won't just be the people of Detroit who hate you, it'll be all of us. " MJD

    I couldn't agree more!

  • and he is only getting better.. Scary.

  • If you pay attention at 11 second he show the identical footwork to split the would be tacklers as his Father.......

  • In one of Barry Sanders Jr. interviews he says his dad never really gives him football advice and he'll only say little things like good job. I think he's giving him the tough, quiet love Barry Sanders father used to give him. I remember him always saying his dad would never push him or even said anything but always expected the best of him and never congratulated him. He even said Jim Brown was the best running back of all-time. Lol what a dick.

  • I go to his school, one of the nicest and most modest guys ever. those who say his dads forcing him, he couldn't want to play more

  • @BoREB01 yes so is his dad he will be a great player

  • We'll never see Barry Sanders run a football again but this is the next closest thing. His son. I hope he makes it to the NFL and becomes a stud just like his father.

  • BARRY what Barry JR who cares with moves like that NICE

  • they played that in PONCA CITY, hometown

  • The best running back ever was Jim Brown. Nobody else.

  • @IamTheKing9 No, It goes Barry Sanders, Emmitt Smith, Walter Payton, Jim Brown, Marshall Faulk, Gale Sayers, Marcus Allen, Earl Campbell, Thurman Thomas, and Eric Dickerson. Maybe the list is a little debatable down the stretch but Jim Brown can't be #1 anymore. At least admit that Walter Payton and Gale Sayers (Not a Bears fan, but Jets fan) are better than him.

  • @losangelescardinals emmet smith is not even top 25 walter payton best all purpose back

  • Jim Brown played in a time where nobody was prepared for that kind of talent. He destroyed defenses because there was still a bunch of slow white dudes in the NFL...All I'm saying is when the greatest defensive player of all time- Lawrence Taylor says that Barry Sanders is the greatest than you take that to heart and crown the friggin man. Barry is the GOAT and no other. Nobody has more yards in 10 years than barry and only Jim Brown avg. 5 yards per carry just like Barry did.

  • would of been even better if he would of just flipped the ball to the ref

  • #30...poor hustle, should have shut that play down, sprints for him after they look at the film

  • He looks taller than his Dad.

  • jus like his dad

  • i can see his dad taught him well.

  • Where the other team went wrong is having the exact same jerseys at the 49ers

  • If I were Mike Gundy of OSU I would straight for Jr. I mean as QB at OSU, Gundy had for the years he was there Thurman Thomas and Barry Sanders in his backfield. We know how they did in the pros, but I bet you anything Gundy is itching his finger to get Jr to play at OSU.

  • The fact Barry Jr. is dominating at the high school level shows he's at least got D1 college football talent. If he can dominate there, we'll know if he's an NFL player.

  • wont translate on next level....comp is really bad..I mean really. He's nothing like his dad....no way at all...different body types and all, and anybody who knows football knows a body type is conduvice to the type of runner one has the ability to become.

  • i hope he is as good as his daddy. then ill have some good football to watch. i dont get much good football livin in kansas city

  • An NFL Hall Of Famer's son can do well in the NFL. Look at Kellen Winslow Jr he's a former Pro Bowler and is still a very good TE. Howie Long's son is gonna be alot better this year too. It's the NBA players kids that don't do well.

  • @86pimp3 steph curry

  • @86pimp3 very true about nba players. Sanders Jr looks good at this level, lets see what happens when the game moves faster in SEC

  • @86pimp3 hahah Kobe Bryant not good enough for you?

  • @86pimp3 Stephen Curry is doing quite well, he might be rookie of the year.

  • @86pimp3 stephen curry exeption lol.. he's a monster

  • @86pimp3 wat about stephen curry hes doin well and kobe bryant 5 rings cum on ur dumb betch

  • @86pimp3 yeah like kobe bryant he is nothing like his father joe jelly bean bryant

  • @86pimp3 I agree, although Dell Curry's son, Stephen, is doing pretty well, even though Dell wasn't a Hall of Famer, he still was pretty good. Same goes for Joe "Jellybean" Bryant and Kobe.

  • @86pimp3 the brothers manning... their dad was an nfl player :p

  • @86pimp3 what about stephen curry?

  • @86pimp3 you got that right, im a bears fan and i wish Walter Paytons son would have been better

  • @86pimp3 you got that right, im a bears fan and i wish Walter Paytons son would have been better

  • @86pimp3 Now remember not all of them can do well. Just look at Phil Simms's son and his career.

  • @86pimp3

    Kobe Bryant.

  • mmmmm barreee sandeeeeers. sounds like that 'lets get ready to rumble' dude.

made the first three guys miss, what else is new? and he's just a high school freshman? wow.

  • stuntin like his daddy LOL!!!

  • He isn't the best, theres earl campbell and a lot of others.

  • you know nothing about football. earl campbell? you are a moron... BARRY IS THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME

  • @paclives692002 Have not seen a running back in the NFL to have the vision that Barry Sanders had. AP is close, but Its a bit early to compare both of them.

  • @rjc0l3 haha u are an idiot...barry is w/o a doubt the best running back ever...I'm from texas and know that earl isn't close to barry

  • @db4life87 No there is a lot of doubt. Everyone has their own opionion. For me Emmitt was the best.

  • ...mmm the odds r against it look at Jeffrie Jordan....poor kid never had a chance to be like Mike

  • That dude is big to be in high school. lol I miss those days.

  • i cant wait to see these legends sons get in the nfl,. like montanas kid and favres nephew and jerry rices son... And barry sanders son... i wonder if any or all of em gona ever crumble under the presure of be good like there fathers or uncles. we just gona have to wait n see. but this kid is dam good. i just hope detriot dont end up with him some how.

  • I agree

  • @stylesclash101 Chris Simms did fare to well for his father, Phil Simms =T

  • @nsaneazylm

In Oklahoma he's known as "Chrissy Simms".

  • @stylesclash101 Chris Simms, Phil Simms' son, didn't fare too well =T

  • w8 dam dis is actually barry sanders son?? damn thats sick he will only get better as he gets older so might turn out like his dad.... n i can c is not following his fathers footsteps when he gets in d endzone

  • @YungIce36 actually he does, just look at some other vids... haha its not like he ohco cinco'ed all in that dudes face, he was just happy he pwned em... and his dad is barry effin sanders!!! omg!!

  • looks good to me hell, i can't stand it when people get on here talking down about these kids who are doing big things. I mean sure, you have the right to voice your own opinion but there's a point where it's just pure hating. i'm sure this kid will get several offers (osu im sure) and he'll probably have a good if not great college career and so forth. Do I think he'll ever live up to his dad's legacy? naw (chang248, i think about jarrett payton all the time and the pressure he probably felt)

  • I think Jarrett Payton has talent (Having seen him play live), but he's never really gotten a true chance to start, or make an impact. He's not in the same league as his dad was, obviously, but I think he's a pretty good player.

  • he retired from football like 3 years after trying in the NFL with the titans and i believe he went to the canadian league

  • Gravel, hes only in high school got it...

  • doesn't act like barry when he scores

  • He will get faster as he gets older trust me, Runs just like his dad, he even makes cuts like him. And for ppl who said barry sanders was never fast, have you ever seen his highlight reel? this kid could be pretty special if he turns out like his dad

  • if you want to see the best high school running back in Oklahoma go check out Zack Langer Jenks Oklahoma Junior highlights plays division 6A, and put up 2,346 yards, 38 TD's last season.

  • @Jwall7007

the thing is..... It's 6A, how many large schools do yall have?

  • @Jwall7007

What other high schools were recruiting him before he went to jenks? For those who don't know, Jenks and Tulsa Union have an unusual number of athletes "move" to their district. It's hard to prove any wrongdoing, but everyone knows they do it. If Moore or Edmond hadn't split into 3 schools each, they could compete also.

  • It's funny how some of these people are saying he is too slow.. He was a FRESHMAN in this video, which he has many more years to grow into his body which he will certainly get faster.. I ran a 4.9 at his age and by the time I was a senior i could run a 4.5..

  • Watch Barry on NFL Network on Saturday, Jan 23, at 9 AM Eastern.

  • Just bad tackling!

  • Speed could be a problem #52 didnt seem to have a problem keeping right behind him.

  • In Highschool a lot of people are almost the same speed buddy...

  • @lawlwtfcakes0605 i love you

  • You see he didn't catch him. He wasn't right on him. You could see he was starting to get seperation. If the field wasn't so small eventually the difference would have been alot bigger.

  • leave it to a youtuber to find some dumb shit to say on an amazing run. he just jumped over some nigga and you expect him to be able to take off at full speed? didnt you notice the gap between him and #52 was growing???

  • he's on a sophomore here tho, he could get faster but your right he should be able to blow away high school lb's if he's to be a star in college or nfl

  • @ILoveMusic5252 Barry Sanders never had blazing speed, he had could speed but people could catch him from behind.

  • I wonder where he got it from hmmmmmm

  • I not trying to knock him what so ever. He will be highly recuited....but he is in a 2A school. You would think that his dad would want him in a 5A HS program

  • He goes to Herritage Hall, which is a presitigous private high school with a very go track record in academics. Its smart to go to this school, so he can get a good education

  • i mean you guess....

i got .8 i donno what your talking about

  • damn hes gonna be a problem ! he runs a 4.49 as a sohpomore in high school watch out son

  • DETROIT LIONS HERE HE COMES!

  • dude im sorry but after what the lions did to barry sr hes not going to detroit

  • what did the lions do to barry ?

  • I hear he's leaning toward OK State. Big 12 is in trouble

  • he better go to ok state.

  • the big 12 needs legit defenses.

  • Comment removed

  • we wrecked this team last yesr game 7

  • Like father like son

  • It's no wonder he's good. He's the son of a legend. He has natural born talent.

  • genetics and tallent is all good, but the most important thing is skill . you are not born with it. we learn it. looks like barry junior has been training hard. hopefully he will continue to do that

  • If he goes Pro, it'll be due to hype from his father's legacy.

  • I watched that guy tear up our football team... it was something like 0-44 lol

  • hes ony a sophmore !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • and that was a video of his Freshman year i believe. i think he was only 14 years old

  • word to the last guy, ur usually never better than your father was, especially if he was a Hall of damn Famer, i dont think he'll come close to the prowess of Mr. Sanders during the late 80's and 90's no one like him again.

  • but at the same time dads gonna teach his son some tricks

  • Unless you are Peyton Manning.

  • send him to OU haha

  • How great would it be if he came to Michigan then got drafted by the lions and beat all his dads records lol

  • lol

he deserves a much better team than lions though

  • i almost punched the t.v when stuart scott annouced barry sanders retired, so i jus cried my eyes out..

  • he probably won't be as good as barry sr., but i read he has better size, and the jump cuts and footwork are outstanding in his videos.

  • The only way he can be better than his dad is if he comes to Detroit... Barry Sr dipped on us on the eve of training camp...i still have nightmares about that day...

  • Oklahoma has sent too much talent to the lions over the years if you ask me. Sanders, Owens... Both amazing backs, neither added up for much cause the lions suck so bad.

  • barry sr. would probably shoot jr. before letting him come to detroit. but i did hear he was visiting Michigan.

  • barry sanders scrambled around.. he just ran threw ppl

  • truthfulmind you are an idiot.Barry Sanders was unique. There won't be any one like him ever.

  • @irealyhatethepatriot

Well....let us hope his son can carry on the legacy. The legacy of elusiveness! Even if Jr ends up on the Cowboys, and I hate the Cowboys, I'm going to love watching this guy break legs.

  • That is pretty disgusting for a freshman to be doing that.

  • Nice run

  • hes got great potential to create his own style and identity but hes nothing like his dad, nothing personal its just that nobody is or ever will be barry sanders. barry was just special

  • Not really, he is a human and anything he can do another human also has potential to do. Stop idolizing him. Is Barry your God?

  • he has potential to be better than his dad

  • The kid will probably turn out to be an average college, maybe even a decent pro back. But there's only one Barry Sanders....one in a billion are born with that level of speed, agility, and acceleration.

  • what celebration? there was no cell phone no dance. he just flexed and screamed. it wasnt directed at anyone imparticular. give the kid a break hes a sophmore in highschool. if it was a problem im sure the refs would have said something. everyone is always trying to find flaws. but right now he is having fun. let him have fun stop acting like he plays for the lions and get a life. all of u!

  • He seems to be bigger than his daddy. Not sure dad would approve of that celebration either. Any predictions on where he'll end up - Okla St like his father?

  • like father like son

  • just so you know, they're 0-3 this season

  • I don't think BSjr attended Heritage Hall this year.

  • yes he does..

  • How do you know his fundamentals are not greater then his dad? There are tons of super stars who just dont have the fundamentals. I am sure he is more mature and better at this age then his father. He has his father to coach him and help him and make him better then he was. Barry Sr. didnt have a Hall of Fame RB for a father to learn from.

  • It's not like Barry Sr. didn't have anyone his older brother Byron played in the NFL for years.

  • He's a bit more of a celebrator than his dad was and he runs more upright.

  • This is exactly what I thought after watching this.

  • Nobody can be like "The Human Joy Stick" like his dad,but he will get close to it.

  • cdmish i'm just saying he got one good run in the game, just cause his dad is sanders doesnt mean he's the amazing guy his dad was

the reason they won that game is because of their quarterback, who was really freaking awesome to watch but he's at college now(Rice) along with several of his Senior team mates

i do hope we play Haritage Hall/Barry again tho, maybe then the headline on Yahoo! will say "Lincoln Christian School beats Sanders in State Finals" but i doubt it

  • @linconbuldog: He wasn't even their 1st string RB and you are bragging about holding him to under 100yrds? Who won the game? lol... that's what I thought.

  • your back a freshmen? give the guy some credit damn. if your guy is good we will all here of him sooner or later.

  • Lil deep on the toss but good call the rest of the sideline.

  • Far greater fundamentals than his daddy

  • LOLOLOLOL This kid is in high school, his "fundamentals" are not better than his 'daddy'

  • To Lincolnbuldog:

Sure made your defense look like crap for a million and a half people then huh?

Give the guy credit, that was an awesome run. I'm surprised you can even type after getting BURNT like that dude

  • cry more. was that you that missed him behind the line? he's 15 good job holding him back

  • The guy gets one big run and its on yahoo's front page and has one million and a half hits on YouTube because his last name is Sanders, we held him to under 100 yards that game and that was his only TD by the way! He only had 12 TD's all season long.

our running back had 5 TD's in our first game this season and he only played the first half!!!

I hope we play them again in the playoffs, it was a great game

  • wow, a total hater......he's 15 years old and he'll be playing in the NFL while the guys on your team will be reliving their hs glory days at walmart.

  • Sanders also averaged 8.3 yards a carry.

  • tight run not knockn it except 4 tha clip not called right b4 the hurdle over his own guy

  • Where ever he goes I hope it is not the Lions. They will forever be the team that ended Barry Sanders Sr career because of money issues. They cheated the world because of their stubborness

  • WOW chip off the old block....

  • His talent will be wasted just like his father's. Wanna know why? He's coming to the team his dad played for. The Detroit Kittens.

  • bring him in to ny giants !!! :-P
