as a hockey player. when he goes up the ladder from side to side, I bend my legs more so im closer to the skating position. i also emphasize the push off a lot more on the quad
@hockygoalie3031 the guy below me states to do this on a soft surface but mens health did a study and their result was that impact on hard surfaces to a degree are beneficial to the bones in your feet (makes them stronger, more durable)
NOTE: To Youth and High School athletes. It's best to do agility ladder drills on a fairly SOFT surface (such as outside on grass), to reduce the impact on your joints, and avoid possible injuries such as shin splits, ACL, Achilles, etc. Continued repetition is required for excellence in these drills.
Also, this instructor needs to be providing ALOT more verbal explanation of proper technique, instead of just showing off.
Yes, this will. It's just so you can work on foot speed and agility, as long as your doing exercises that involve you moving your feet it will help you get quicker and more agile for any sport.
It's like lifting weights.... if your work your muscles out they will get bigger and stronger and will benefit you no matter what sport.
helped alot. do dis for an hour or 2 hours a dai if u can along with ur keeper training u ll see the results trust me. u dnt have to buy a ledder i made my ladder out of tree branches. and if ur a out field player and want to improve ur stepovers 0:40 is really good for you.
