Age of Empires 3 is actually the fourth.

Microsoft is the publisher, and Ensemble Studios is the developer. I think it's Ensemble who gives us our CD-keys, but I'm not sure.

Ubisoft didn't take any part in it.

Too bad, those 30 euros back then were the best I've ever spent.

Perhaps I'm gonna buy AoE3 someday, but I wanna have a lot of games that I have to buy if I wanna play online, and money's a big problem:'(

Makes sense, because it is actually Microsoft's third Real Time Strategy (or RTS for short). Age of Mythology was released after Age of Empires 2 and before Age of Empires 3.

So Age of Empires 3 is actually Age of Empires 4, in a certain view.

Best Civilization game ever. Still about 1200 people online daily. And 100 new scenarions made a day. So it is worth playing.

Weird thing is, if you visit a modding site of AoM people have like so many updates for the game. You have like 5 new civilizations etc. Its really weird nobody has it though (me neither)....

I have tried a mod once, but it wasn't as great as I had expected. I could use droids from Star Wars, but only in a self-made map, and I couldn't play online anymore.

I've also updated the game once.

I like to use the Atlanteans. I'm horrible at multi-tasking, and with the atlanteans, I don't have to build new granaries or storehouses, and I don't have to keep track of ox carts.

True. I like to use Oranos because Atlanteans roll quickly and good.

And Poseidon because I prefer it over any non-Atlantean gods and it has militia, infranty siege, and the Hippikon xD!

I think you should try reinstalling the game.

I don't remember a reinstall button (I never even look at such buttons) but assuming the install menu has that button, I recommend you first copy your saved game files to another folder (if you don't, you will lose them). I believe you can find them in C:(if that's your hard drive letter) /Program Files/Microsoft Games/Age of Mythology/savegame . You must also copy the folder Age of Mythology which you can find in the My Games folder in My Documents.

If you have copied those files to another folder, you can click uninstall in the cd menu (not in the game menu, and do not click reinstall). When that's done click install in the cd menu.

Then, finally, put the copied files back to where you found them.

Now your precious saved games and customs maps shouldn't be lost, and your game should work again.

By the way: this is just a general method for rapairing not working games.

Nope. My friend had it too. I borrowed him one of my accounts and he got on. Since then everything worked fine for him. But Im having a problem everytime I play a match it says something like: Cant gain connection, cannot send rating files. It is anoying because I always win and now I dont get a rank :(
