I have a Dell 1525, and the fan isn't that nosiy. It comes on like every hour and it's usually pretty quiet. Though you will hear it slightly if you're in a quiet room. I wanted white orginally, but Dell told me that they had discounted white along with the purple blossom one too. It sucks! So I got black instead.

whats up with all the trash talking about the p4? my primary comp is running a ht 3.2ghz p4 with 2gb of ddr2 and a ati radeon 2600xt that dominates any game i throw at it at 1600x1200 with a viewsonic crt including assassins creed, crysis, etc. the cpu isn't as important as the vidcard and mem. btw, i'm also running an athlonxp 1600, a 700mhz p3 laptop and an 800 p3 laptop that still run xp great. if you know what you're doing you don't have to upgrade constantly. tho i do have a 1525 on the way
