Question: I am interested to know if Izotope RX could possibly eliminate or reduce the sound of people talking at a live concert. In other words, a performance I did was musically satisfactory but it's a smoothie/juice bar so there's a constant carpet of yakking and talking throughout the performances. Between pieces there are sections with just talking and no music so could it build a filter based on the conversation?
The speech probably has similar frequency content with the music so I doubt it's even theoretically possible from a single channel. Having multiple spatially separated recording points would help, so that an algorithm could separate signals based on correlations between those. Similarly your brain has a lot easier time hearing the band over the talking by having 2 slightly separated inputs (ears). Just try doing it with one ear plugged.
i tried this program today, its noise denoising function was better than the one in adobe audition 1.5. I tried on a horrific vhs record, and even though i max out the FFT size and reduction level in AA, i still hear noticeable noise at the end of every sound. In comparison, this program give me better quality, even though it's 10x slower with algorithm C, but it's worth it
i own izotope rx and i find it best if you start at a verry low setting first "4-5 db" or lower and work up from that piont...less artifacts...if you practice with this software a little...and i do mean a little...you will find it works verry-verry well...i love this program...it will save many a file!!
I found the it works better that way as well. It takes more time but when I team that process up with the B & C algorithms my tapes come out nearly crystal clear. Izotope RX is by far the best software available!
Very useful, thank you alot for this video and for this program!
It works really good!

I hate the fact that it's a commercial product that has to be purchased (Explaining why I made my video, heh).
Still, looks good whatsoever!
