  • if you get a first gen t-touch keep it away from water. I had mine for a year or so before the hards started slipping, and I only found out later that it was from water damage. $350 to get it "fixed" (replaced the entire thing bar the band), even though its supposed to be water resistant 30m (which apparently, just means splash resistant). It's a great watch, just too many problems like that.

  • piece of crap..... stay away at least from

    the 1st generation ones......

  • very nice watch!!!]

  • Rather buy a Casio G-SHOCK Aviator! or the MUDMAN! much more cheaper and effective, or the EDIFICE!

  • why do people buy watches!! its sooo last century!

  • I HAVE TO BUY THIS WORDERFUL ... THING!!! haaaaaaaa!

  • крутые чясы

  • Thank you! I just turned 40 and my wonderful wife surprised me with this watch but I was having trouble figuring it out with the instruction booklet provided. I got a lot from your simple explanations and was also able to finally set the time. Good job!

  • swiss made (for americans... from drangons land :)

  • My Touch I was so cool, then it broke for no good reason. It has been a nightmare. Swatch support folks want to charge me $200 since it was "out of warranty" after 2 years. 2 years?? Are you kidding me, after spending nearly $750?! This is a reckless investment - check the boards! A child's watch has a longer warranty. Dear Swatch: if you are going to charge $700+ for a "timepiece", then it needs a long warranty; especially for a watch that breaks down often. Say NO to Tissot.

  • Hey, aren't you that same guy who reviewed that Rolex GMT Master II?

  • Can someone tell me how to calibrate it pleaassee?

  • Damn that's awesome. (looks up price on google) Holy shat, you can keep it!

  • Super informative review! This is everything I needed to know. Blew my mind.

  • Tissot is a great Swiss watch brand that thing is fugly! the Tissot PR50 is a lot cheaper but way more classic and sophisticated than that huge steel onion thing on your wrist.

  • got one, don't wear it much, novelty of all the feature wore off after a couple of days, the stainless steel body as features is way too heavy, titanium model alot better

all and all an ok watch, it does look kinda cool, and does amaze many with the touch features, which might help you get blown, can imagine this watch looking a bit naf in say ten years from now...

    thanks for listening lol

  • besides this one tissots are mostly crap some others might be good i'd recommend a more popular brand like breitling or rolex tho :/

  • COOL WATCH, TISSOT AMAZING.. NO.1

  • bought this watch about 2 years ago, wayyyy toooo expensive..... battery only lasted 2 years, are kidding mee...... I had a Timex for 7 years and never had to replace it.....

digital display not very clear to see especially in the dark. give me a break.... only cool feature is the touch screen" and that might be what is actually selling, why is it that we still have watches without any some kind of light to c them at night?

  • mal parido jodete con tu watch

  • I got this for my birthday cost around Rs 30,000 in India, but with titanium finish

  • @Mathewm5 too bad my budget is 10000

  • swiss quality!!!

  • Be carefull - I thought this was a great watch and it certainly get noticed. I have had it for 5 years (early adopter) and I bought it from goldsmiths.

I use the compas lots (for finding my way out of Ikea) and this has gone wrong on two occasions - Each time I have been told the watch needed servicing - The first time it cost me 50 quid and this time they want £135:00. - HAVING TO HAVE THE WATCH SERVICED EVERY 2 YEARS means that this is a very expensive watch to own!

  • @grasscutter01ful or its a shitloadoffuck

  • I have the black pvd trekking for a year now. I use it for work, biking, camping, swimming ( including cliff jumping up to 35 feet and swimming about 20-25 feet deep).

I don't know why people say you can't work the watch hard or get it wet? Mine has held up just great. Maybe I got a good one

  • Great Review!

  • Amazing ROLLS-ROYCE Watches with 2 Gyrotourbillons

    youtube.com/watch?v=TD-iaMpqOZY

  • I've heard there are some quality issues with this watch. Can anyone confirm this?

  • @slick4401

The quality issue is all moisture related. This watch is only 3bar water resistant which is about the same as my 1968 Omega Seamaster. Most treat is as they would a 10bar watch. I'd never hit the shower or even think about going swimming with anything under 10bar/100M. This is a going hiking or motor sports watch at best. Anyone wanting a serious all weather super-multi is bound for a Casio Pathfinder on a zulu strap.

  • I got this watch about 3 years ago, still works perfect.

  • anybody know the range of size the rubber strap offers?

  • I've seen a t-touch with backlight by pressing the "middle puscher" but that's maybe a newer model this is an old video :P

  • @Strikehard92 It can be Tissot T-touch Expert or Tissot T-Touch 2, both have backlighting.

  • Highly overrated watch. All of those features could have been provided at a much lower cost without the touch interface.

This watch is only rated to 30m. This means you can't even submerge it in water. It's only for light splashes. Awful lume and no backlight. Useless in the dark.

    And it's still a quartz.

  • dose your body heat affect the outcome of the thermometer?

  • @omiss2006

Yes. Body heat does affect the temperature reading... takes a few minutes to get a reading once it is removed from your wrist. I usually don't wear it and instead carry it in my bag. I bought one new around 2001 and have only changed the battery twice.

  • It's the worst purchase I've made are ma has broken four times in four years ... is normal?? do not buy it, is a scam ...

Es la peor compra que he hecho se ma ha descompuesto 4 veces en 4 años... es normal???? no lo compren, es un timo...

  • does it have backlit on the digital display?

  • nice

  • molto bello! ma delicato!^_^

  • I would just like to point out that as cool as this watch seems, there are a lot of technical problems (at least currently).

I know for a fact that most watchmakers will refuse to change a battery in them, because once the battery has been changed, the watch starts behaving strangely. I have been advised to take mine back to the head office, and they just replace the whole watch when the battery goes dead - but only while the warranty is valid.

    A little disconcerting!

  • Watch my Sea Touch!

  • lol touch watch.... what next?

  • up to 800 euro.....

  • yah it has a backlight..he doesnt know how to activate it

  • No it doesnt... The new one "T.touch Expert" has a red backlight on the display. The regular T.touch as well the T.touch trekking DOESNT light up the display.

  • I have a t-touch the thing is awesome, but I can't get it to change from metric to american standard

  • Activate the crystal, touch the middle until you get to a screen that should start with your time setting (12h or 24h) and then your unit system (Cm or Fft). Now hold the plus button until it beeps, then press it to change Cm to Fft.

@giokhakis this review is from 2006, only the newer models have a backlight.

  • i owned one titanium series and it kept on breaking after 2 years. i had it repaired 2 times with combined costs almost near purchase price. never again, piece of shit. watch reviews are crap, they explain functions without real life performance and experiences. TISSOT T-TOUCH = POS.

  • @hzj79 I had one for about 3 years. Wore it everyday. Never broke. It's just you...

  • @hzj79 Do you expect a reviewer to wait two years before posting a review just so he can tell you it didn't break inside warranty?

People are mainly interested in new models, not ones that have been available for years.

  • Listen to what he says at 3 minutes and 55 seconds into the clip. Search for the clipby title, i cannot post links here "Tissot T-Touch Expert Watch Review"

  • These watches give movement problems after about 4 years. I don't recommend one. Mine broke and it's costing a fortune to repair, approximately 35% of the original cost of the watch.

  • It's how many euros

  • dude it does have backlight

  • Dude, this review is of an older model and, dude, this one doesn't have a backlight. The newer models do, dude.

  • oookay

but why do you keep saying dude

  • omg how much euro is this t-touch? wow

  • the best watch review is the oso g shock watch review

  • I just got this for christmas(early pressent),whoo hoo!!, this waych is so cool, you can wear jeans and t shirt, it matches any wardrobe, and the functions, James bond like makes it an exciting watch, plus its rugged yet classy, a true mans watch, non pretentious , subtle and elegant that can also kick ass.

this watch will get you laid, not cuz it looks cool only it has a feature that sprays pheromones in the air :D

  • @checkurbrain yeah, for 600$ (average price) it SHOULD spray pheromones or else it's not worth the penny

  • @checkurbrain Well unfortunately, i would have to say that i agree with you, this thing might get you laid, but only because it looks masculine. Basically, this is a very good meteo/altimeter/chrono(not sure)/compas/alarm/thermo, a remarkable piece of tech. But it's main purpose, being a watch is an ABSOLUTE PIECE OF SHIT! Let's not forget, Tissot is actually a watch company, isnt it?? But you can not say that a watch with a quartz movement is a good watch!?!?! Spending 600 for this is INSANE!!

  • @mihailofsx Why you say that a quartz is a "piece of shit" watch? What in your mind classifies a good watch? Doesn't it track the time properly? What's the problem?

I'm not trying to be ironic but I saw this watched in a store and I liked it and trying to get some more info on it.

  • @LeontariF1 Ok, it doesnt look bad but I would never buy this because for this amount of money you can buy a Tissot with automatic (proper) movement. It is not worth it, that was my point. It might be useful, but a real watch lover would never buy this because it is not a good watch. A good advice for you would be: If you like it, buy it! But it is not the right choice if you want a proper watch. Personally, I would spend much less money buying a simple quartz watch than this.

  • @mihailofsx "But you can not say that a watch with a quartz movement is a good watch"

Why not? Quartz watches are more accurate than mechanical ones.

  • @fragglet "Why not? Quartz watches are more accurate than mechanical ones"

Well, they actually are more accurate by far. But, i still dont see the point of spending this much money for a quartz watch, when the point is to buy a real watch (especially for that amount of money). Unless you are obsessed with accuracy of course; you could just buy a radio clock (synchronized by an atomic clock, the most accurate timekeeping device on earth)

  • This is also one of my favourite watches, (out of about 100 i own) i love the functionality, the design, the build quality, my watch has been faultless for years, still on orignal batteries!

Also considering its quite a large watch, it fits very nicely on small wrists like mine.

In my opinion its worth every penny i paid for it.

  • i have a small wrist too...and i thought small watches fits better..

    what do u think ?

  • It is water resistant, like i said... Tissot has a poor quality but expensive.. it won't last that long... google Tissot problems.. and you will know the issues this watch has to offer.. for $800 price.. REGRET!

  • $800 and no backlight!!! I think, I will buy a casio pro trek with quarter price...

  • it's 500, and it has a backlight. A really nice red one. Love it.

  • Too bad it's not water resistant.

  • realy ????? r u sure of that ??

  • These watch are pretty cool, but it don't last as long as other similar watches.

I don't even use mine alot and one day it just started with problems; the arrow wasn't accurate, it was pointing at the wrong direction, and it's only 2 years old.

    dont buy this watch!

  • @jl644

    you may have a counterfeit.

  • i have a t touch, it s amazing!!! very good, no kidding.

  • @tanobaron Is it need to Cary it too gently??

has it ever fall from you to the ground ?? what happened ??

did you swim with the watch??

coz I wanna buy one but I'm soo confused

  • @tanobaron price?

  • i think it water proof only 10m as the tissot web site says ;(

  • of course it has a backlight, search for the "Tissot T-Touch Expert Review" video, and see at 2:06...

  • hey ! I´ve got this watch almost one year and 2 weaks ago I started have a problem when I tried to touch for exapmle termo funciton nothing happens... same with rest functions.. I tought it ś beacuse my battery is low I wait until my battery´s gonna be deat and than I changed my battery of course not by my selfe but in schop.. but I´ve got still same problem ... does anybody know what I have to do ?.. I ´m not sure If is my watch broken or If is problem somewhere in options... thanks

  • Is the calibration a hard thing to do?

  • You have to set it in a place, where you know the exact altitude. It's not that hard to do, but still you have to do it quite often... :(

  • winner: this review.

loser: the watch. no light, on a watch with this much engineering? pshaw! lololol.

  • WHAT IT HAS NO LIGHT, thats so sad coz I really liked it until seconds before i know it has no light

  • how accurate are the instruments?

  • I was interested in this watch a few years ago but was put off by the cheap looking LCD which makes it look dated IMHO. No backlight. And an inverted display would have looked slicker against the black face. Doesnt look like they've changed anything since it was introduced 10+ years ago. I'd buy one in a heartbeat if they modernized it a little.

  • look at the t-touch expert. it has backlit display and a carbon fibre face. just picked one up!

  • the only thing that stops me from buying this watch is the water resistance

its only 3 bars and i am a pretty careless person

  • Relógio de pulso inventado pelo brasileiro "santos dumond" o mesmo que inventou o avião.

  • got bad comment on this watch ere..any other band have th same function lie this watch.

  • i am a pilot and i own the tissot, never failed me once, banged it a million times and nothing, the crystal is amazing, plus great conversation starter. it really gets the best reactions.

  • pilot at age of 24?

  • I love this watch i have it.

  • I've got the same watch almost a year never had a problem.

  • The functions are cool but the watch is ugly

  • They are many different T-Touch

  • i know but the design is to rugged in my opiniom

  • ONLY O M E GA

  • I agree - DON'T BUY A TISSOT T TOUCH - I own two of them & they have been in & out for warranty since new - the touch screen fails, or the whole mech fails - both have been repaired 3 times now (up to 4 months away for repair each time)- buy a Seiko for a quarter of the price! Each time I fly, thats generally the end of the Altimiter & touch functions.

  • Get a Casio! G-shock! Can`t loose!

  • Comment removed

  • I own a Tissot. Just a watch. Calm down!

  • hey..is that true?i wanna buy tissot t touch for my friend since he's a pilot..so it doesn't functioned well?

  • Yes, Its tru - I wouldnt touch one unless they revise their design & reliablity. It's one thing having warranty, but having a watch (watches) repaired 4 times each in 2 years is rediculous - and now they have both failed out of warranty - never again....

  • Think you bought a chinese fake...

  • i need serious help i dont no what to do. i have the choice of buying the tissot t touch expert or the tag heuer formula 1 alarm watch what the hell should i do.

  • get in had it back from the shop now bowt two weeks and it's fucked again! and av even took it off when av been around water - pile of shite

  • quisiera saber cuanto en el precio valdria el reloj si me lo pudieran responder

    por favor!!!

  • depende en q moneda, yo vivo en italia, y aqui cuesta 500/600 euros, depende del modello...

  • dont buy this watch, mine has been back to be repaired three times now and i'v only had it aprox 8 months, it looks good when it works but even going in a shower with it on can nack it up, awudnt bother go for a suunto observer! much more better and relaiable

  • its a cool watch, but setting the alarm is a pain

  • tissot is ugly! you'd have to pay me to wear it!

  • You just can't afford one ;)

  • I bought this watch for my husband in 2003 for X-mas and the first one broke two days after having it. The Jewelry store replaced it for free and sent the original back to Tissot. Now the second watch, for no reason or fault of our own can't keep correct time on either the digital or hands. I paid a lot for unreliable titanium. Better off with a plastic casio watch....

  • I assumed most people from Switzerland were nice. I guess every country has a little evil in it after all. So nice to hear your sympathy. While the jewelry store was BenBridge, I would hope it wasn't a fake but you can't trust anybody. My gripe with the watch was in no way a complaint about your country. So dry your tears and move on. If you continue reading you'll find an awful lot of other complaints claiming the watch is a piece of crap. Maybe I should just "dump" it.

  • another nice swiss watch - no it don't want to act up^^ - but honestly i don't like tissot^^ (I prefer Omega & Rolex)

  • omega mAKES Tissot...

  • Swatch Group

  • i want 1

    anyone selling it

  • I wanna ask something. That "screen problem" that you are writting about,is on all watches or on just a few of them?cuz i wanna buy one for a lon time, but when i see the comments about the screen problem,im not so sure that i still what to buy it.ty.

  • is impresionant¡¡¡¡ i like more the tissot

    i have one like this.

  • someone needs to stop biting his nails

  • just got one myself so fart the only disappointment is that there is no back light for night time use. The hands and numbers do glow but the digital display remains in the dark :(

  • It's not a fucking casio. If you need a back light, buy a casio.

  • Cool! But I can't help to think that it would be even cooler if the entire "circle" was a screen. I mean, NO physical handles, numbers etc. Just a screen with digital representations of those things. That would save a lot of mechanics and wheels and whatnot behind the display. And imagine the endless possibilities of customizing colors, sizes etc. You could even show something other than a watch on the display :p

  • these are way to expensive

  • My brother works for Ben Bridge, and he picked me up one of these today (for $75). I'm pretty excited, because I borrowed his for a trip to Peru, and it was a lifesaver. Now I have my own, and that pleases me.

  • Dude, if you buy one of those for 75$ I would pay you between 200 and 300 dollars for one

  • Dude, if you can grab me one I would be willing to pay 250$

  • I did Buy one of these Four Years ago as a Christmas present for myself. BIG disappointment. I dont use the T-Touch any more. Has to been repaired 3 times over 4 years. Very expencive.

  • Okay, already - you've expressed your disappointment. But you're posting over and over and over - are you sure you're not simply a PR guy working for the Japanese?!

  • Even I am having the same problem with TISSOT T-Touch. So much for SWISS reliability.

  • thank for the review i hate going to shops and asking about watches. i been looking at getting one of these for my 40th.....thank you.

  • WHAT A LOAD OF USELESS CRAP

  • what are you talking about

  • Does it come with a gps , ... a phaser .. set to stun . I've got a phone in my shoe Chief .ITS a fuckin watchh !!!

  • ok.. obviously you dont hike or camp... oh and garmin makes a watch and its a gps..

  • Don't go hiking with this Tissot T-Grap. It is VERY unreliable and might leave you in trouble...

  • ISO 2281 (Wikipedia that) is the standard that all non mixed-gas diving watches are tested. My Tissot's (RIP) manual stated that my T-Touch was watertight to a depth of 30m. It drowned in less than two! You gotta love the ISO guys!!! not. Saying something is Water Resistant is fine, we all get caught in the rain. Saying it is Water Resistant to a water depth is misleading.

  • Yes I had those concerns also....but I realized that something with a touch-sensitive crystal probably is also sensitive to water! That being said, my other watch is a Tag Heuer Aquaracer with a 300m rating for when I do decide to use it during water sports or showering. I still believe this is an awesome watch, as long as you don't use it beyond it's boundaries.

  • Search "Water Resistance Mark" on Wikipedia. This gives you a idea of what you are in for when it comes to you WR rating. Believe me, they are not what they seem. I have just 'drowned' my Tissot Titanium T-Touch. Turns out that WR-30m is basically sweat proof. Not happy.

  • Hi,

To those who are prepared to buy this Tissot Titanium T-Touch watch, prepare to be sorry in about 2 years. I had to replace the battery after only 2 years and it cost me 300 $ CAD and it took 2 months. And it is going to be like this every 2 years !

    Vincent

  • Great job, Christian. This short vid influenced me to pick up a T-Touch with stainless steel band. Got a great deal (percentage discount plus extra 15% for opening an account with the jeweler)....i've had it for 7 months and aside from the occasional need to synchronize the digi and analog times, it's very reliable and accurate! Perfect all around watch imho.

  • that is an incredible timepiece

  • no light and very expensive.

    casio rulesssssssssss!!!!

  • Nice review of a cool watch. Thanks!

  • How does the Tissot touch compare to the Casio PAW1500 in terms of ruggedness and accuracy...

    Thanks,

    GS

  • They're both excellent watches (I own both). I prefer my t-touch because of its touch-screen ability... much easier to change features. Downside of the t-touch is the water resistance... but don't worry... just get the expert model (water resist to 100m). The PAW 1500 does have tide graphs and a moon phase chart however.

If I really had to chose between the two, I'd go for the t-touch. But don't buy the regular one if you're interested, get the expert model.

  • I have the Tissot Trekking model in titanium. Extremely lightweight at around 70g and looks awesome. However, the lack of a backlight is simply laughable on a watch which costs nearly $1000Cdn. I mean, how am I supposed to take it seriously when I can't even set my alarm clock at night without a flashlight?

  • Do NOT buy this watch. It is completely unreliable. Mine does not work at all now.

  • WTF? The Quality is superb! My watch work perfectly.

Why don't you use your guaranty?

  • Boring

  • this a very nice watch I highly recomended it but all titanium... which is only 50$ more.

  • Polished Titanium is my favourite. Its damn light and it's not as dark as the normal titanium.

And the best, the carbon Display... oh damn, i love it... <3

  • so do you recomend to buy this or not?

  • I would recommend these watches but wait until the new version comes out, improved functions especially for hiking etc... And you can get it wet! It is bigger and slightly more expensive but it looks great! The older version is reliable except for the water issue.

  • I dont recommend. It is a nice looking watch with lots of cool functions but not very reliable.

  • Shoul be: I bought one 22.12.2004. Less than four years ago and the entire Clokwork has to been reneved two times after that...

  • DO NOT BUY THIS WATCH. I bought on 22.12.2008. It has to been repaired tree times after that. Entire clokwork has to been changed two times. Every time it has taken 2-2 months to repair. I seriously dont think its worth its price.
