i define it as someone who wastes ammo, and health - a shotgun to take out a headcrab, 2 shots of a shotgun for 1 combine, losing a load of health, l2 crowbar

ok rookie, I'm going to explain you and I hope you will understand. Wasting ammo and health? this is not Deus Ex boy, in Half Life 2, you will never suffer for lack of ammunition or medkits, unless you waste it deliberately. The game will give you what you need. Remember the infinite ammo crates?

Take a look at the description little boy, I have rules, and I follow them. Accordingly, I am a good player.

I'm not gana bother to do it my self, but I will give you some hints...

Memorize where the enemies are, learn to aim better... maybe a lower mouse sensitivity will help you. And as far as your reaction time goes... well, you need to work on that.

If you want to do better I suggest you play hl2dm,

1) i know where enemies are, if i don't kill them as fast as possible is because of safety, no quicksave rule, hard mode.

2) Learn to aim better? ok man, i'm not using crosshair, and I think i did it good with the gunship. Not perfect, but good.

3)Reaction time? mouse sensivity?

please, bother to do it yourself, I want to see how you do it with these rules XD
