Weird Al can deny it all he wants, but I have an OLD AUDIO CASSETTE by Weird Al and this song, CATS IN THE KETTLE in on it! If I can find it, it's packed away in storage, I'll see if I can get the cassette album title as well as a photo of the song title on the cassette (if it's still readable, I played and handled these things to death!) So a lot of the titles have been rubbed off of them. Hope it's still in the original cassette album case.

Actually I did a bit more searching. While the song is on the Bob Rivers website, it was apparently written by a comic named "Manic Larry baker" back in 1988 (I believe Bob was still DJing and doing twisted tunes for WIYY - 98Rock in baltimore about that time). Looks like it was neither Bob nor Al, though Larry is apparently affiliated with the Bob Rivers Show and they do have the original version of his song on their website. Please let me know which Wierd Al CD you saw a version of this on.

How to explain this? ...Ok, the only reason that people in the US think that it is wrong to kill a dog or cat, is because you were raised to believe that cats and dogs are pets. But in japan or any other country with different cultural viewpoints, they werent raised having cats and dogs as pets. As far as they are concerned, they are just another animal. I suppose the only reason I'm creeped out by eating cat is because cats and dogs are very smart, whereas cows, chickens, and pigs are really quite dumb. Cats and dogs have talents and potential, thus pet shows. But cows and pigs can only eat and sleep, really. Of course, cows give us milk, but the only reason we use cow milk instead of goat milk is because cows give more. :P But yeah, I never want to eat a cat or dog, they've been bred to become tame, and yet we eat them... niiice.
