  • yes, i also dont think its a 900 gr going 2400 fps watch me shooting 700 nitro 1000 gr with 248 gr h-4831 over 2300 fps & with 17 lbs rifle & observe how far it pushes you back !!! load verified with a western powder guy withnesed that...so i call this 600 ok load a fake.. 1tufgun

  • Chuck norris holds that gun side way

  • hell chuck norris could shoot that one handed..

  • somebody do a chuck norris joke

  • 48 seconds, go to it

  • if only that was justin biebers head.......

  • lol. keep pressing 4

  • I fired a .750 once. The recoil kind of discourages you from doing it again. I've seen videos of the .600 revolvers and I have no urge to try one.

  • umm guys your late by about 1 million years, there are no dinosaurs around anymore to kill, douchefags !

  • @freedomsoldier187 not true crocodiles and alligators ,and possibly a few others im missing are the last known relatives to the diasaurs you could also hunt whale's with this and sharks near the surface... also known to evolve from prehistoric animals....

  • @nitroexpress700 They are very distant relatives, however they are not dinosaurs.

Last I checked you don't hunt whales or sharks with a gun. This gun is all about the wank factor, pointless, irrelevant.

    nothing a .50 BMG won't handle.

  • @freedomsoldier187 true on the whale part lol i shot my first elephant with a 700 nitro double rifle when hunting stuff like elephant you cant really have to much gun and that bigger than this i was using a 1000 grain fmj at 2000 fps

  • hoooooly mother i want that kickass gun bro¡¡¡

  • I'd be a little suspicious if, when I got ready to fire, people began running for cover 0:34

  • chicken wingen...

  • im sorry man, but you shoot a little funny. work on that stance a little bit, dont cock your elbow up, keep it tight to your side, and dont push your hip to the side either.

good job keeping the recoil under control though :D

  • DINOSAUR GUN

  • Chuck Norris. One-handed.

  • Try clicking the video and pressing 6 over and over. Gets straight to the good part of the pumpkin exploding!

  • who is the idiot with the camera? why the hell would you move out of frame right before the guy shot? you deserve to be shot, dumbass cameraman.

  • @sunshadow1012 thats a very interesting theory! However it was in fact a true 600, and it did give me a mild concussion when I shot it, but nothing hospital worthy fortunately. I do like the idea of detonators and explosives mixed with produce though...maybe next year! haha.

  • @kussoff1 whoa!! seriosly!! a concussion!? I'm sticking with a 9mm then.. LOL!!

  • If you look the guy on the left says hold on pulls a detonator out of his pocket and the camera guy moves him off screen, and triggers on "fire" if that was a true 600 his shoulder would be black and blue and maybe even dislocated a wrist or something the way he was holding it! So I agree with Stifsim6

  • that dude is badass 4 shooting that gun

  • 600 nitro express cal ??

  • look at the size of that cannon. idc if it wasnt exactly what the stats were i think u handled the recoil well.

  • Proud of you! another guy says a little too quick. what a dick head

  • You need to hit a moving target now. How bout an APC? Only an inch or so of armor to poke through, and it would really show the guns power.

  • why is hi arm at 45 digrees?

  • this gun would cause lag

  • Try that with a wild pumpkin

  • @OghamTheBold LOL, those wild pumpkin are crazy

  • That pumpkin could have fed a whole starving family in Africa! You evil people.

Ah, who am I kidding? This is America. We love our guns. GOD BLESS THE USA!!

  • looks like fun

  • I'm calling bullshit on the load stats...that skinny little guy barely moved, both of his feet stayed planted.

It might be a .600, but it sure-as-hell isn't weighing in at 900+ grains and 2400fps.

  • @Stifsim6 I think you are actually correct. It started as a 900gr solid projectile, but the owner of the rifle actually drilled out a small amount of material to create a kinda sorta but not really hollow point. So it was probably in the 700-850gr range, but was still moving at no less than 2400fps. Also, I credit my flawless recoil management technique for my feet staying in touch with mother earth during this haha. It felt as if I had been hit by a bus when that shot went off.

  • @kussoff1 and it look as if he had good couching on stance an grip , so he would minimize the recoil

  • @kussoff1 you should have had an inkling that it would be bad when your friends back waaaaaaaaaaay the hell away. lol.

  • @kussoff1 Your stance looked good. In fact you did good all around. So you had coaches? Are you novice shooter?

  • @Stifsim6 you recoil freaks really make me laugh, any average sized man can handle the recoil from any rifle if he knows how to shoot it properly

  • @Stifsim6

You just sound like someone who doesn't know how to fire a high power rifle.

  • @bigbore2342000 ...The AR-50 sleeping soundly in my safe, and it's 13,000+ ft/lbs of energy disagree with you.

  • @Stifsim6 Did you see how far forward he was leaning? Hence the no falling over. This guy knows how to shoot a gun. Just because you fly out windows when you shoot daddy's hi-point 9mm, doesn't mean this guy is a pussy. Thank you and have a fantastic day!

  • @Stifsim6 I have to say my 18" 10ga, with a slug, will rock you just as hard !

  • @Stifsim6 no ammount of recoil is uncontrolable, certainly you'll know when this gun fires, but from expirience shooting large rifles, I know the only thing you have to worry about is your hearing. recoil is nothing from a 14+lb rifle if you hold it correctly. otherwise, you're screwed. theres two ways to fire a gun like this, like the guy in this video, or like the arabian guys you see in other videos. do everything right, you're fine.

  • DUDE!

Imagine this is a head of a guy...dude, thats so sick....

  • this fuckin guy talkin like he knows everything about guns.

  • @nickatina40 who knows everything about guns?

  • @kussoff1 nobody. thats my point. the guy in the video on the left....

  • The dude shooting the gun can look any way he wants, cause if he shot you with that gun you'd look way worse than he does.

  • That's fucking good to kill zombies !

  • @fabrb26 Enough zombie bullshit!!!

  • why not just use a barrett .50cal with hollow points?

  • @DestroyofArea52 find some expanding .50cal hp's first, then I will.

  • BOOM! haha

  • that guy shooting looks like he inserted a black dildo up his ass

  • @phate451 It was blue..chicken fucker. haha. That def takes the cake for stupidest comment left on this video. Hats off to you!

  • wouldn't wanna see a headshot with this gun...

  • @FhjNelson

in fact you wouldn't even see the head.

  • dude..this is bad.

  • nice way to spread the seeds out for next year

  • that pumpkin is kinda small for that amount of energy.. IMHO

  • bullshit

  • i would start to worry when everybody backs up as if im about to explode...ha

  • hahaha they all back up and bust out cameras.

  • its like shooting frozen cow shit

  • I'll take your word for it haha

  • @wawawewaryan thats gotta be one of the funniest comments I have read on youtube.

  • @tomcornwall83 the cowshit one?? really?

  • @wawawewaryan i just pissed my self!

  • @rozziboy20 you might not want to broadcast such an occurance haha

  • rambo gun xD

  • Well, that's one way to make pumpkin pie!

  • 900 grain bullet! CRAP ALMIGHTY! thats about 2 freakin ounces...

  • I WANNA HUG THAT GUY he did it right

  • funny how he says, "it's just gonna push you, it's not gonna hurt"

  • you should edit your videos - 1:05 for a single gunshot is a huge waste of time and bandwidth

  • haha yeah I know, I didn't really do much editing at the time I posted this, but now I do.

  • @spewgilist Oh, you poor thing. Is a minute too long?

  • Were did the pumpkin go?

  • every where

  • My turn!

  • I want to know what this would do to a person.

  • not sure there would be a human left :D

  • @spaghetiman Any limb it's hitting it's taking it off and not even mushrooming out. If you get hit in the stomach with that... I don't usually say this but.. It might litrally rip you in half x_x;!

  • 458 Lott

  • BOOOM!

  • NICE

  • Dinosaur Rifle?

  • Well there's this rich guy who is very interested in genetic engineering so he bought a few islands in the Caribbean and began to try and clone dinosaurs but once he managed to do that he needed some heavy duty guns to keep them under control, so he ordered a shit load of these bad boys

  • @quagmisterx I didn't see any of these in Jurassic Park!

  • You think that would happen the exact same way with someones head? badass gun!!!

  • pause exactly at :49

  • very nice right? haha

  • how's the kick on the gun?

  • how's it look? lol

  • dude imagine that against a guys head

  • i wanna see someone jump while firing that

  • OK imagine snipers useing that.. pumkin switch with head......??? oo creepy

  • lol were did your face go oh yea it just got ripped off

  • Snipers need a round that they can hit something with at a distance further than 30 feet.

  • if you fill out a special "form 4" in most states you can get a rifle over .50 cal

  • yea if its over a 1/2 inch its considered a cannon

  • 600 Overkill, along with a lot of other elephant cartridges like 577NE, 600NE, and 700NE, just to name a few, have a sporting exemption. So you do not have to fill out anything special to own one.

  • 0:49 PUMPKIN SHRAPNEL!!!

  • I was under the impression that rifles in caliber over .50 (aside from muzzleloaders) were classified as destructive devices and there were some sort of restrictions on them, or that they were altogether illegal, hence why .416 Rigby and others never break the .50 size. Is this correct?

  • Hmm, interesting point, and I must admit I do not know the answer to be honest. I am leaning towards no restrictions, but then again its possible. It certainly is a destructive device regardless haha.

  • I finally looked it up, according to Wikipedia, citing the US code as source (I'm too lazy to look in the US code to see if it's true) this rifle would not be restricted, as it is likely considered a sporting rifle. Apparently even destructive devices are legal, just controlled. Only some states have banned them. Of course, a hunting/sporting rifle is not under this legislation.

  • Very good to know. Thanks!

  • but tracer rounds are illegal but yet i "think" milltary can use them..??

  • yes

  • the Peoples Republic of California has laws against people owning rifles larger than .50.. other states that aren't liberalized don't have those restrictions..

  • actually anything larger than .600" is classified as a destructive device

  • Except for 12 gauge slugs, they are larger than .600

  • Anything larger than .60? or .50?

  • theres 700 NE and then it goes into bores from the like 12 10 8 4 2 and i believe there was a 1 bore so if you take a pound of lead and make it into a perfect sphere itll be 1 bore and if you take it and make 12 spheres itll be a 12 bore

  • I know that there are 700 NE but what im talking about is what is a cannon above .50 or .60?

  • you have bores and mm so 20mm 25mm 30mm and 12bore 10bore 8 6 4 2 bores

  • @christlubas you can get a .95 cal bullet which is like 3500 grain and the gun that fires it weighs 50kg. the bullet is called .950 JDJ if you want to look it up

  • @dundonrl it strictly says any gun over .50 caliber is considered a destructive device, with the exception of sporting uses. otherwise shotguns wouldn't be legal cause they are normally 12-gauge or .729 caliber. the law for guns states that no firearms can exceed .50caliber without a sporting use exception, and any or all big bores over 1.75" are considered cannons, or punt guns, and there for require an FFL

  • @dundonrl I get a kick out of the "Land of Fruits and Nuts", California. All the libs spout off about personal freedom, but have created a state where you have none. Check any product or item for sale. It usually has some form of disclaimer for California or can not be sold there.

  • Amazing! That was nice to finally see a video where someone is helping the person learn to shoot a monster gun, instead of just throwing them in the fire and hope they don't get kicked in the face from the recoil.

  • amen, I was glad they didn't just toss it to me with a round and let me take my best try with it haha.

  • fuckin amazing

  • GOOODDDDD DDAAYYYUUUMMMM!!!!!! overkill is a dam good title for this vid, but hell i want one

  • Bijoucreek custom guns makes them....they are about 6000 for that setup

  • Good zombie gun!

  • WOW, I want one.

  • Correct, It was a nice video.

  • I need one for coyote hunting.

  • why yes, dont we all ;)

  • Or vaporize some squirrels :P

  • you are a moron

  • your quick wit is admirable. I would have to imagine that you are constantly burdened by hoards of people crowding around you at all time just hoping to be humored by such comedic genious. I think you meant to say, "nice video, I really enjoyed it." haha.

  • can you get any closer ?

  • Haha, that was surprisingly badass.

  • ready...aim..Fi BOOOM! hahah xD

  • Ok gun held tight, shoulders hunched up and butt protruded...Fire!!! Are you firing bullets or Beans???

  • stands like a poof

  • so .. shoot any dinosaur lately?? durr ..

  • why does he hold his shoulder so high in the air

  • Just what I'm used to, I get alot of questions about that haha! You have to adopt a shooting stance/style which works for you and stick with it. No one particular method will work the best for everyone, its all about what feels the best and gets the best results for the individual shooter. In my case, i get the best trigger control in the off hand position with an elevated elbow, not pretty or traditional by any means, but it sure works for me! Thanks for watching!!!

  • i Like how the "instructor" takes the bullet that was dropped on the dirt-ground and just put it straight into the gun and doesnt wipe it of or nothing...

  • the air disturbance caused by that bulled could probably kill something. jesus. all you have to do is get the bullet to go within a couple inches of the target's head, give it a severe concussion.

  • As impressive as that was.. I would REALLY like to see it go through about a dozen water filled pumpkins all at once ; )

  • booker357mag, I like the way you think! Your wish may one day be granted...I hope=D Thanks for watching!

  • .600 Overkill Badass gun, it will go through 6FT of solid Oak!

  • see now if only there was a way to make a light compact .50 cal to take hunting like that, they might actually have a market for it ableit a small one.

  • .50 beowulf

  • Man NASA should be armed with that shit to blow up incoming Meteors!

  • LMAO!!!! i was thinking it as either an anti-air or anti-tank rifle, but your idea is much better LOL!

  • There is actually a Bigger Gun than this its Called a 460. Weatherby.

Its incase the Sun is edging a little to close and you think it might mug you or something.

  • LOL

  • 460 Weatherby is less than 1/2" in diameter and shoots a bullet weighting about 500 gr.. quite abit smaller than the "600 Overkill"

  • you could kill a blue whale with that shit!!

  • yep sure was, it was my father in fact. I never noticed that to be honest, I'll have to make sure and let him know that his camera work is pretty top notch! Thanks for watching!

  • is there a cameraman? if so hes effing awwesome. didnt flinch at all

    well done boys

  • Errm .700 Nitro express w/ 1000g bullet > all

  • hey Rawkamann I got some answers:

    1 Yes perfectly legal

2 The rifle was built by a local gunsmith, actually one of the gentlemen on scene in the video, and he would need to quote you a price on one, but ammo is nearly $10 a round for a reload!

3 in its tracks, with energy to spare

4 these rifles are the power envelope. Most powerful hunting rifle in the world. Largest dia. the action is capable of being chambered for. .610 cal 900gr hp bullets.

  • The largest round a Barret can fire, with a custom throat job, is a 750 Grain copper solid. There are 800 grain rounds, but they're less stable. They're only .51".

This rifle, on the other hand, is a hunting rifle chambered for a larger 900 grain .61" slug. It's also reasonable to carry while you're hunting, as opposed to a 40 lb rifle.

  • so u sayng its just lighter, but still wiht the barret u ould hunt elepahts from 1 mile away

  • Not exactly. The .600 fires a larger round at a lower velocity; less overpenetration and wasted energy. Even with a trained marksman, taking a shot at a mile isn't ethical.

Plus, one of the appeals of fine hunting rifles is the stock. Not a lot you can do for a Barret in that department.

Now, I do own a Steyr HS-50 myself, which is lighter than the Barret, but it's not practical for hunting.

  • Hey kussoff1 I got some questions:

1 Are these rifles legal to own?

2 How expensive are these rifles and ammo?

3 Would they really drop an elephant?

4 Were these rifles created to see how far they could push the power envelope?

  • holy shit
