@a2m4m60 I'm not too worried about that, we are using food grade plastics, designed for use with food in cooking. I would never use a colored garbage bag, or a bag made of recycled plastic. There are probably foods we eat that are more damaging to us than what we may possibly get from cooking occasionally in a Ziploc plastic bag. Thanks for the comment and for watching!!
I've heard alot recently about heating or freezing foods in plastics, and about potentially harmful plastic residue getting into the food as a result. Is there any truth to this? Is it only certain types of plastics that we need to be concerned about? Thanks for the channel.
@huguenot67 Thanks for the comment. It is important to use only food grade plastics, especially for cooking in. Many think any plastic container is OK, but that is not the case. The greatest concern has been with Polycarbonate plastics, all of those have been changed as well as I can tell now so they are fine.
The homemade tv dinner? The twig stove has got to be the best thing to carry you seem to set it and go off doing other things like setting up shots and walla water boiling. An alkie needs a wind screen primed stove all that and I have yet to see you struggle like I have seen the alkie stovers do.
@cdltpx Yeah the stove does work nice. I seem to like it the more I use it. Also wind actually can help it. I'm getting pretty quick at getting it going too, I lay it on it's side, stuff the tinder and twigs, turn on the fan, light it, and I'm rolling. Thanks again!!
I never have liked cooking in plastic bags because I have heard so many bad things about plastic getting into the food...
