I imagine it's more difficult to reach this level of interpretation in this piece than to master a piece such as Liszt's "Mephisto Waltz N. 1" with an average interpretation. Just genius. Thanks, Hexameron, you maintain one of my favourite channels in YouTube. It helped me a lot in learning more about modern music and has helped me a lot in "moments of need". What a fantastic performance.

there is a lot of better imaginations in 1920's music. This is just really heated up old fashioned rhythms and new chords with da same old nelly gestures. This is why Shostakovich&Prokofiev are talked about & miss thing is forgotten. Geese heated up . Hindemith is restraine I don't even know who to compare to this.Bad Taste.Maybe I just dont know.Honegger,Syzmanowski. 1920's there is def better music than this.Russia was havinga hard time and da imagination ain't overflowing girls!
@lovesGenet this is awesome; no prokofiev and shosta are talked about because they weren't repressed because they toned down their style; not that they were'nt good. who gives a shit about rhythm it's just one element baroque and classical use the same rhythms constantly, but who would ever call Bach, mozart or ludwig van boring? not only that they keep using the same harmonic formulas, but it is STILL not boring
Usually what comes to my mind is "interesting" but this time i really enjoyed a big part of the piece. Maybe you are just getting used to modern music over time.
