  • @2:26 - You NEVER disconnect a cable by pulling on the cord, IDIOT! You pull the plug, itself. Well, only if you want to do it properly.

  • the US honda civic is so ugly compared to the european versions.....

  • Here In Brazil Civic is a car for not rich people but... people who haves money... and in EUA its like that too?Or its a car for everyone?

  • @TheGamesnewsBR

Civic is a regular compact sedan in USA, not too expensive but there are cheaper options in the same segment. Definitely not a car for rich people, just for the average buyer

  • Man, the JDM civic looks much better

  • I remember watching Motorweek in the 90's with my dad when I was little. Good times.

Glad John Davis is still hosting it.

  • Honda is the master of making small cars and engines.

  • why can't this guy just talk normally..lol

  • yep, that's my car same collar. love it feel like I'm on the Boat and save gas. haha

  • 10 seconds 0 to 60 times..just sad.

A toyota prius will smoke it...lol

  • Hopefully picking mine up soon! Same Blue colour as the tester! =)

  • never realized how ugly the rear lights are. thankfully the redesigned civic fixed that. and 0-60 times almost at 10 are always bad. even if its an automatic economy car, you should be getting at least upper 8's. hopefully the new civics torque numbers are a bit higher and help it get there.

  • a spaceship! what a tard.

  • haha! my '93 Del Sol would beat that civic lol........ not by much. :p

  • they should work towards a cvt transmission to replace the auto. the 0 to 60 time is terrible.

  • I'm getting a white 2010 EX Sedan soon! So excited!! ^_^

  • @hondaboii89 Enjoy the slug...lol

  • I have a handa civic 09 stick shift what type of engine does it have a vtec??

  • @887744 If you have an Si, you have a 2.0 4cyl k20z3 dohc i-vtec 6 speed manual. If you have any model other than the Si, such as DX, LX,or EX you have a 1.8 4cyl r18a1 sohc i-vtec 5 speed manual. Yes they are both vtec.

  • Hehehe I have the Honda civic coupe 09 :D

  • i have a 60 40 split and i have a lx model this guy is a dipshit

  • Get rid of the rear drums.

  • starting from 06 on the civics are faster and better than previous generations. Older generations never won ca of the year like this new generation. Plusthe civic siis the most powerful si that came out.

  • honda civic are great cars but older civics are the best...but the civic si is awesome

  • Why can this weak little automatic Civic chirp its tires on launch while my more powerful Accord can't? It's not fair. LOL :P

  • @th83 Haha I was thinking the same thing-but I'd rather not chirp the tires and have my 6.5 sec 0-60 than wait all day for 0-60 in this underpowered piece of crap.

  • i think the build quality on hondas is excellent but I would've expected much better performance numbers from the new civic. while I generally prefer GM specifically Buick LOL when it comes to compact cars I think honda is the best. Even though performance is not great it still has most everything a compact car buyer wants.

  • Wow John Davis!

    You are getting old!

  • I freaking love motorweek!

  • all you can drive buffet lmao i should have thought of that

  • is not about speed any more on these day.

  • the older civics were less powerful but they were smaller and faster

the 2001 civic had a 0-60 of about 7.8 seconds

  • do remember this car has what 1500 miles and the engine probably isn't fully broken in.

  • Honda civics are the best compact sedan cars.

  • I love my euro civic, it looks like a flying saucer. The car is basically the same, but the style is more futuristic.

  • that dash is so long

  • It took me awhile to get used to it. Now I prefer it. Feels more spacious.

  • I think they just did that because of how they made the windshield I guess it cuts though the air better.

  • It's impossible to see any part of the engine hood from inside. So I turn on the lights when I park. The reflections from other cars give me an idea of how close I am.

Once on the run, this car is perfect!

  • i love the civics

  • me too:)

  • The crash test they show at 2:40 is the 01-05 civic coupe...not the new one.

  • ur fat

  • HIT VTEC!!!

  • No duhh.

Its not build on speed. Hello! Common Sense.

  • The front and back doesn't match.......the tail part could be so much better. Check out the Euro Civic Type R, stunning!

  • sorry but yea you have opinion but my opinion is the japanese civic!!! its the original more sporty.

  • You guys forgot about the MUGEN.

  • The Si Mugen version is just suspension and a body kit, so what about it ?

  • It has more parts than the regular Si. I know this because i own one.

  • I've got an 07 coupe. Which I love. I just wish it had better brakes.

  • wow 0-60 in 9.8 seconds???? its slow....my 04 Hyundai Elantra Gt goes from 0-60 in 8 seconds.....

  • You probably have a 2.0L or 2.4L DOHC and that civic have a 1.8L I-VTEC SOHC.

  • i have a 2.0L...but still how many HP does the civic has???

  • that one have a 1.8L SOHC 140hp and the SI have a 2.0L DOHC 197hp and the SI will beat your ass but you can't compare your car and the SI. Honda is able to make great horsepower with SOHC cause the Ford Focus 2.0L DOHC have the same HP as the new Civic 1.8L SOHC so fuck Fords.

  • cool, i know my car sucks...but hey i like it.... i wanna get the GTI and it has 200 HP, better than tha SI, so i can beat it.......lol

  • sorry but you can't compare the GTI and the SI cause the SI is all motor and the GTI is turbocharge but still both of them are great cars but the SI more fun to drive.

  • i saw a lot of videos saying that the GTI is better than the SI, it beat it in every way.......

  • Honda always made the best FWD car in all the world. It might not be the fastest but it have the best handling. You should give the SI a drive before your last decision to buy. VW doesn't the relability of Honda. I'm always for All-Motor cause turbo cars always have lag so it means that it's not that good on the track because whenever your gonna come out of a curve and your at low RPM and the turbo kick in the front tires will spins(with the traction control OFF).Like I said give the SI a drive.

  • ok im gonna give it a try......

  • Great car and plenty fast enough you geeks

  • the honda civic here are rebranded Acura CSX

  • why are people typing out numbers with this car?

ITS A COMPACT PASSANGER CAR geez.

10s is plenty fast for families.

Want a sports car? freakin buy a sports car. morons

  • i thought this was suppose to be better than a sports car!!

  • 9.8 seconds 0-60? yikes

  • It's you get what you pay for then

  • COOL

  • Does it really have to be fast? Jeeze, we're not materialistic at all!

This is a good car. Take it for what its worth. It's not a freakin' Corvette, you know.

  • yeah but 10 seconds? That is a bit slow

  • It is slow by basic car standards. However, keep a little benefit of the doubt. Take into consideration that this is with the automatic transmission.

Manuals are usually faster on a vast majority of cars, especially the ones in this class. Manual-equipped Civics will hit 60 mph at around 7.8-8.0 seconds if you floor it like they do with Motorweek. Remember, they tested a Civic LX-S, not an Si.

  • the civic in competent but im not crazy bout' it

  • 0-60 in 9.8 sec? No thanks.

  • it's an economy car. Are you really planning on racing anybody in it?

  • No but I'd like to not risk my life merging onto a fast moving freeway.

  • those small cars usually have their power at higher rpms, you'd be fine

  • the si and type r civics are race ready cars actually, even more with turbos and engine builds.

  • mazdaspeed3 or euro spec focus rs please please please...

  • gotta love hondas continuing to build great reliable cars, the new civic is great, even the stock rims arnt that bad, but myself id prefer the u.s. spec si, but i would rather import a jdm spec type r anyday!!
