this is such a nice valuable part from this Cantonese movie. Wow... Miss Cheng is really incredible, i never know she can dance and she is the big star and main actress of that famous song from Cantonese opera. I see many of her acting in old TVB series, at that time, she usually play old lady..... I once had meet her in a Bus from Shatin to Kowloon, this is in early 80's , she look very healthy and sharp and friendly, becasue she was looking at me too and smile, nice classy old lady indeed.
Peter, nice to hear your story of meeting Cheng Man-ha. I wish I were you on that bus... hahaha. I've listened to a radio programme (1965) by Cheng in hkgalbert's channel, and I believe she's a truly classy lady.

還記得小時候老有機會看粵語唱片，從那裏學會暸很多做人的道理，特別是看吳楚帆的，還有曹達華的。記得中學時就覺得那些片子很老土，管他們叫粵語殘片。可是，現在回看，就覺得很有意思，覺得自己小時候能看到真是有福。

鄭孟霞因病於2000年11月28日在寶血醫院去世了，88歲。 據報章上的消息, 她晚年患上老人痴呆症, 和女兒同住, 後來上落樓梯時跌倒, 便入住寶血老人院, 直至病逝。

第一次看到鄭孟霞是電視《相見好》，她演于洋的媽媽，那時已覺她好戲，爸爸說她唱京劇的，且是唐滌生老婆，想知更多，可惜手頭資料太少。
在大銀幕印象深刻的是《撞到正》演maria。
多謝你跟大家分享了霞姨的風華正茂，看到席上其他熟悉的面孔，想起我們就是是看粵語片長大的。現在要看好難，電視台早上也不播放了。

讀到這一兩個星期的無綫節目表, 只有週末深夜才播放舊片, 真有早些時天星、皇后開始被拆掉的感覺。唯有寄望影碟出版與及電影資料館吧, 我首次看《花都綺夢》就是在資料館。

Cheng Man-ha was born in 1922, so she was 30 something when she performed in the movie.

鄭孟霞在不少香港1930、40年代的粵語片當女主角, 大部份是扮演大美人的角色呢。在《新白金龍》裏, 薛覺先便是對著她唱道:「你隻高竇貓兒，我偏要監人賴厚...。」才子(唐滌生)佳人(鄭孟霞)俱往矣。

我记得第一次看到郑梦霞，是在80年代石天吴耀汉主演的《难兄难弟》。
后来读到一些资料，才知道她是京剧名伶兼舞蹈家，而且是大美人！~~这个片断，终于让我有所领略！她是广东人吗？
影坛上的南北鸳鸯，她和唐滌生的爱情故事不知道是啥样子的？

其實我從沒看過《新白金龍》, 我是從youtube上介紹薛覺先的短片看到一個小片段罷了, 就是他向鄭孟霞唱那一句囉~ :)
關於鄭孟霞以及關於她和唐滌生的故事, 我腦子裏的都是道聽途說, 讓我花些少時間搜集整理, 才跟你八卦一番吧。
