@josiah17 If you like the old Motown stuff with great black female singers take a look at a band called Eruption singing "i can't stand the rain" and "One way ticket" Also Amii Stewart with "knock on Wood" and "Light my fire" and Boney M singing "Sunny" "Daddy cool" "Ma Baker" "Rasputin" "Rivers of Babylon" All of these women could really sing and dance, AT THE SAME TIME...

Seems to be people of generation Y are just too slack and lazy to come up with somthing original for their own generation because most music today is a rip of an old classic hit tune, Dumbed down and simplified with a repetative rapper mumbling some B.S rubbish about having cash, chicks, cars. Today, kids want to be famous for NO reason or talent like the Kardashians.

I agree. She is by far the most complete. She commands strong stage presence. She captures an audience like no other. She is a rarity. Not too many females, nevertheless singers, who has a mass appeal to audiences of all kinds. She touches, POP, R&B. Dance & House, Adult Contemporary, as well as Jazz. She's simply untouchable. Who on earth falls in that class of "MASS APPEAL", over 5 different Genres. No one. She's simply, "THE BEST".

Do you have a link to see it, by chance? I know for sure the red and black beaded dress she wore in this movie was Mackie. It sold at auction for over 17 Grand. To me, this looks like vintage Bob....

At 2.05 in the video you see one in a different colour passing in the background

The minute I saw it on her In 1999 i recognised it.

Also around this time she was invited to Dior and did a photo shoot for them , it used to be on YT called something like Diva Shopping but I can't find it now. She was one of Gallianos first customers, in fact I think she bought a piece from his graduation show

are you sure that gown was stolen? she had worn it on that movie with brandy and at an event where she was with patti. But that was about 3 years ago so maybe. I wish she'd do the yellow ball gown in blue, saw that at the bowl, WOW, even the str8 guys were in awe LOL

Yeah it was stolen, not my favourite gown. You are right she wore it in the movie "DOUBLE PALTINUM", and at a Elton John fundraising event, where she was seated next to Patti Labelle, Shirley Bassey and Joan Collins.

That's a really funny story. Who would want that gown? It's one of her worst, similar to the red one she wore at the Stevie Wonder tribute. Probably made by Scaasi. Where's Bob Mackie? She needs him. She sounds really good here. Endless is usually kind of scratchy but she pulls it off well. Too bad she gave the crest of the song to that guy.
