For whatever reason Brown did it in the open as he looked right over at a referee just before he did it. Bold move and in the open not like the cheap shots that are hidden from view and aren't publicized. Much ado about nothing people, chill.

Brown caused slight discomfort not physical injury or assault. This stuff goes on every game where players kick, stomp, punch, elbow, claw, scratch, poke eyes, especially in pileups. It's football people and happens from high school to the pros. Brown looked over at a ref and still did it, mostly for show as not much harm was done and I agree more acting than actual distress. Uncalled for, yes but if refs called every incident in a game, there would be 50+ penalties a game.

based on the way Brown looked back to make sure the ref was watching i'm thinking this was retaliation for whatever it was that #70 had been doing. Note the flag was for unsportsmanlike conduct and *not* a personal foul, which might have required an ejection if it was for a deliberate punch -- I have to assume the ref knew exactly what he was flagging.
