  • LOL

  • 5-3-1 Jim Wendler buff said

  • i dont put clips on the bar while doing press.. so anytime i cant lift it up the plates will come off if i put them sideways

  • @FvckOffDorks That endangers people around you.

  • @crazypersonlol34 lol gym has alot of space...

  • in my opinion your elbows were way to far from your body. ive got tod by a "real" strongman who finnished first in tons of competitions that you should try to turn in your elbows to realease preasure from shoulders and get more isolation to the chest. also when you take the weight down to your chest it should be just below your chest muscles... not above as in this clip....

id rather listen to someone with TONS (hehe) of experience... then to someone i dont know in a random youtubevid....

  • @withered962 you ruined it

  • I'm 18 and can bench press 800 lbs. Is that good?

  • @ElRancholo2 1600 get at me

  • great video, checkout my channel!

  • lol hes lifting like 44lbs

  • @jayrobson88 he's demonstrating an exercise, might as well use the bar alone.

  • he looks like bruce willis

  • Bring that bar on line with your nipples or you'll split your rotator cuff with time

  • bench press is the worlds most OVERRATED exercise. too much pressure on the joints and will eventually tear your shoulders. in fact its a horrible exercise to do unless you are using dumbbells. but what do i know im only a master trainer

  • @TheRynoxer no master trainer refers to themselves as a master trainer

  • @zasabiibasaz then tell that to all of us whose job title is "CMT" certified master trainer

  • I'm 13 and that's nothing for me!

I can bench 430lbs RAW and STRICT. I have video PROOF on my channel and NO STEROIDS. :)

  • i find it safer to keep clamps off that way you can just knock the weights off if you drop the bar

  • fucking sucker. you are a personal trainner and you dont even use plates of 45 lbs

  • Does bench press take forearms?

  • Amazing strength on the bench press. Next NATURAL Mr. Olympia??

    /watch?v=wOL3aBDs380&feature=channel_video_title

  • hhahahha..he said bench press....

  • Hi, I'm a 16 y/o dude from Norway that just started lifting. I'm almost 6'5 and I weigh about 200 lbs, and I can only benchpress 110 lbs. Could it be that I'm holding the bar with a grip thats too narrow? Or maybe it's just because I started working out.

Also, I think that my triceps are pretty damn weak, and the triceps play a major role in the benchpress, correct? What is a good workout routine (3 days a week) that focuses on triceps/biceps/chest/back/shoulders for a beginner?

  • @iBj0rN what u need to focus on is everything... heres a example do on monday upper body tuesday lower body wednesday rest thursday upper body friday lower body and the weekend rest try to get everything aswell forearm & traps just exercise everything

  • @iBj0rN dude. dont worry. if u just started thats okay. I think you should concentrate more on the squat and deadlift. if those two increase gradually than your bench press will because those two excercises are the best compound excercises. dont worry how much u can bench. just do what u can. if u max 110 than take 60% of that and rep the shit out of it for one day a week. the second day u train bench press use 70 to 80% of your max. also have workouts for all parts of your body.

  • @iBj0rN u said your 6'5. well the bad thing about being tall is that the bar has to travel farther bro. thats why u see guys with short arms are hella good at the bench press.

  • @DonaldWMose Thanks for the reply! :) I've started doing deadlifts. I'll start squatting seriously once I get the technique down

@TheDeacon09 Thanks for the reply! :)

  • @iBj0rN be careful not to curve u back with the deadlift. but dont worry. benchin is not easy.... even for me. i am a freak when it comes to form. i kno that the weights will follow.

  • @iBj0rN No legs? Dont be that idiot that only does upper body, eventually it will look stupid....don't worry about where your starting at because at 16 you have a lot of time to improve...for a routine look up the Mark Rippetoe Starting Strength routine, its specially made for beginners and will help you master compound movements

  • @NiceAndSmooth247 Thanks for the reply!

I will definitely start working on my legs.

  • @iBj0rN As a total beginner, starting with some type of full-body routine could work wonders for you. Try going to the gym on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and work all body parts. This will include chest, legs, back, shoulders, abs, and biceps/triceps. Try doing maybe 1-2 sets of a single exercise to start out with and gradually work your way up to 2-3 sets of one exercise for each body part. Then as this becomes easier for you, begin to split your body parts up into two different days.

  • this guy is such a douche

  • the awkward moment where your spotter cant lift the weight either :O

  • The bar looks like it's bending...

  • To see some real lifting check my vid out.

  • Good video. The children talking about the weight on the bar or the music in the back. 1.) Grow up 2.) Go check out Scooby and soak in the wisdom. You will do well to open your ears and shut your mouths.

  • lol gwen stefain playing in the backround :L nice tips tho

  • softass with 25s on. that's some pussy ish!

  • @GoYanks18 It's clearly a demonstration, if you didn't notice..

  • In regards to his form I don't think that he's arching his back it just looks like that cause he has such a large chest. Personally I prefer dumbbell chest press to a bar bell bench press. This is because usually you have a stronger side and using dumbbells helps to address this. I usually like to train at home and for that you need a multi purpose bench.

To find out more, click on my username now - and you'll see the website link in my profile.

  • The back should be slightly arched and arms in a 45 degree angle... good form buddy!

  • people complaining about his form are just complete idiots. His form is 100% correct and arching your back is to put stress on chest whilst taking it out shoulders.

If you havent lifted anything past a plate in your life don't fucking complain dumbfucks.

  • arching your back is not really gonna help you unless your in a competion

  • I don't know what kinda bench press I have, but I had it for 5 years.. Barbell is 15 pounds and the bench seat is a little bit high. Most of my times, I can't even put my feet down leaving it very hard for me to benchpress cuz I can't get any strength from my legs. I just started working out again for a month and a half.. I started off at 85 pounds, and finally I can maxed out 135 (no help from the legs).. Don't laugh... Maybe in a couple of months, I can max out 200.. Who knows.

  • Also Arching your back causes potential back injury. Kids do it because theyre all a bunch of twats trying to look hard benching extra weight to impress their mates & fit birds who dont give a fuck! LOL.

  • @carpdiem88 Or they don't want injuries and actually lift a decent amount of weight.

  • Why bother putting any weights on it?

  • @carpdiem88 whats wrong with arching your back?

  • @Haole37 Arching your back - First of all Its cheating & defies implying the correct technique of benching. Arching your back is done by those who want to lift the extra few kilograms whilst using poor form.

  • @carpdiem88 By squeezing your shoulder blades together you get a natural arch in your back which helps put more emphases on the pectorals instead of the anterior deltoids, shoulders and triceps. What you don't want to be doing is taking your lower back off the bench. That is poor form.

  • "LIGHT WEIGHT" LOL

  • @boston2O13 Thats not good... lol I'm 14 and maxxing 190 - if you know how to workout correctly, eat right, take your proteins and creatines like I do, I'll be maxxing 275-300 by your age lol

  • @devonlee96 Its funny how lots of retarded kids and students around the world, and especially kids on youtube are obsessed with how much they can bench. Who gives a fuck whether you bench more than twice your body weight at 14. 275-300lbs, what do you think you will achieve out of that? Women? Ah I know, you want bigger breasts! LOL! Dream on youre only 14.

  • I dont see

  • When are u supposed to start bench press??

  • do u want ur back to be a slightly arched?

  • he looks a little bit like bruce willis XD

  • if ur 13 and you can bench 430 pounds then you must have some kind of freakish....disgusting....awful mutation....so have fun with that

  • @drakkman9 You just got trolled, this guy is the biggest bodybuilding troll on youtube.

  • the 13 year old kid who commented below your the pussy who's trying to show off + plus your prob really weak and your prob 3 and half years old so just stop showing off and come on now its your half the vidios on youtube are fake..

  • Pussy shit.

I'm 13 and I can do 430lbs RAW and FULL and I have a video to prove it up right now!

And the form sucks in this video!

  • @AndyHarglesis Your a emo and you don't have any clips. And you're 11.

  • Can some 1 tell me how to be more strong? I've been going to the gym for 10 months and I can still only lift 90 pounds =(.

  • @halflife1994 Change your workout and do some new exercises. Also increase your weight slightly and do some drop sets and supersets.

  • @halflife1994 make sure you alternate lifts, like lower body one day and upper body the next. ex dont do bench press then do it again the next day. eat plenty of protein preferrably not red meat , and dont take advice from people on youtube

  • @halflife1994 Change the workout, eat right, get your protein and so on.. And try to buy a personal trainer.

  • Do you bring the bar down far enough to come into contact with your chest or just above?

  • @Drewvyy just above, depending on how big your chest, if you go all the way down, you would work the shoulders as well and could result in injury( rarely) but always keep it just above the chest by 2 inches .

  • damn strait it is what made my pecker so heavy that i do my full workout trying to piss....

  • @yfz450911 hahahahaha!

  • I weight 80kg and I can bench 80kg 8 times... am I strong?

  • @BDRioga dunno but i'm 115kg and can bench 100kg... and I don't still think im strong.

  • Bench press is great for developing the pecker.

  • I can't bench without wobbling. I just started to go to the gym a week ago but this is pissing me off. How embarassing I can't even lift straight without weights. I've looked at at least 20 different youtube vids I hope I can get the form down packed. Any tips for a beginner would be highly appreciated.

  • @hhhbiggestfan305 Being shaky is normal at first. It's just the nervous system adapting. This will subside in about 2-4 weeks - good luck

  • Damn man thank you i was 229lbs busted my ass off for a bout 5 months and did a little here and there of what i have learned from you and now i'm at 170lbs started hitting the gym my goal is at least 195lbs if anyone would like to follow me on twitter look me up- Schettini17 thank you

  • i once happen i was bench pressing with somebody but i couldnt lift it and my partner stayed there like dumb . i couldnt lift it, i had no clamps, a weight came off, and he tryed to take it up but since a weight got off was unbalanced the the other weight fall i felt stupid...

  • hey everyone. I'm 6 years old, I served in Iraq for 22 years, I can bench 800lbs 10 times, and I squat 1200lbs.

  • @oC00nz hahahahahahahahaha faggot

  • @oC00nz Your Imbred

  • @antsrealm Way to use your instead of you're, misspell inbred, and completely miss the joke. You're a retard.

  • @oC00nz Yes my spelling is retarded as are your jokes.

  • hey great videos man!

  • @lokrenzo : When benching to get ultimate power/form you need to arch your back.. try this by moving your feet backwords, so that your feet are behind your knee's and your bottom back is OFF the bench :)

  • whats up with all the dislikes? this video is real helpful.

  • I'm surprised to see how poor his technique is considering he's doing a video. FYI: I'm a former power lifter who's recorded several competition lifts of more than double my weight - no drugs. This guy leaves out several critical elements such as grip width and elbow & shoulder blade positioning. Which might not be such a big deal if he at least demonstrated he knew what he was doing.

  • He's wrong. For bench pressing, especially if you don't have a spotter, you SHOULD NOT use the clips. If your chest fails and the bar gets too heavy, it's better for you to dip the bar and let the weights fall off than have it fall on your neck.

  • expertvillage sucks, and if you want tips for improvement or doing anything, steer away from all the information they give here. This guy doesn't even know how to do the presses properly himself, notice how when he's lifting, the bar is tilted, it's because he's not lifting with proper form. When you lift a lot of weight tilted like that, it's going to have a very negative effect on your overall technique, amount of weight / reps, and your muscle's symmetry.

  • My fav workout is the 'Benchpress Oblivion Workout' on Konkura.com. Anyone tried it?

  • this dude leaves out alot of info...look for better vids if your new to lifting they will show you proper way to bench with out jackin your shoulders up..never flare your elbows, narrow grip is better then wide and you should always stick your chest out and have a minor arch in your back to keep your shoulders inline

  • Liam 205 lbs 21 Mar 2011 click to see my bench

  • weak sauces

  • Scooby is a BEAST

  • @chrisriley1224 No, it's 100% true.

  • @AndyHarglesis no its 100 percent false. if it were true you would post a video or just not mention it at all. and yeah you are 15 years old. you were just dumb enough when you were making your lie to not consider that people get older and you want to stay 13 years old forever. well thats impossible. your lie is busted

  • This vid sucks and the demonstrator fails tremendously at bench.

I'm 13, 203lbs of solid, drug free strength and I bench 430lbs RAW and STRICT, bare grip! XD

  • @AndyHarglesis if you're so awesome at benching, why are u watching a how to video?

  • @AndyHarglesis Steroids! ;)

  • This noon village

  • thanks!

  • i bench 80 kg is that good?

  • if you want to learn look up these guys: Elite Physique Performance

  • hey question doing the bench presses will help posture or wtf???

  • Does the bench press work the biceps at all?

  • @TheJuggaloDom no..

  • @TheJuggaloDom Yes It Does But Not As Much As The Chest,Shoulders and Tricep :)

  • @TheJuggaloDom yes to a certain extent

  • @TheJuggaloDom

No. Nothing to do with biceps.

  • i realize hes just demonstrating but 95lbs? really now

  • im just wondering where should the go on the chest right below the neck or lower cause i always have the bar goin down pretty much right under neck and i feel like im doing it wrong

  • dude,it provides no information.i guess you have been fired already.

  • Try to tell us something we dont know bro. lol.

  • People don`t really need to be weak if they aren`t strong at bench press. some people are good at it and some is not it`s just the way it is.

  • What is better to get a bigger chest? Incline or FLAT? Someone reply back plz :)

  • @SimonLoOoOV2 vary both of them

  • @SimonLoOoOV2 vary both of them. its all about shocking your muscles

  • @SimonLoOoOV2 If you want to get a bigger chest do all three angles Incline, Decline, Regular. Along with the Bench Press, Chest Flys (All three Angles is the best, but is not needed) will really help with increasing the size of your chest.

  • is it OK that because that because i have limited space and cant get to a gym to often that for my bench at home i use a curl bar

  • im 6'4 and weight 196..i max bench at 285 ..is that good or am i a bitch? lol....anyone please answer...i also can rep 225 for 7..8 on a good day

  • @1stRoundPick100 thats great for your height and weight . 'im 5'10 and weigh 230lbs and bench 435lbs (raw) no shirt.. i can rep 225 lbs 38 times on a good day. I have a 70 inch reach. what people don't realize is that taller (lanky people) have a harder time with the lift due to the range of motion and leverage of the lift. bench isn't built over night it takes time.

  • TOo fastt !!

  • if your such a pro why are you using 95 pounds

  • @LUVMAGNUMGUNS2 your an idiot. Hes using 95 pounds because it is easier to demonstrate with. Damn kids on youtube think they know everything

  • @goatkiller68 'im definitely not a kid....95 lbs. cmon who is going to take that guy seriously.why not use a more respectable weight. it doesn't need to be huge but something more reasonable. when you can bench what i've benched. then you can call me an idiot.his technique isn't the best either. bench press is a compound exercise you should use more than chest and arms. ideally you should be working your triceps, chest, forearms, back, shoulders, abs, glutes and legs. thats key to a big bench.

  • @LUVMAGNUMGUNS2 fine i agree that its a whole body excersise. But like i said its easier to demonstrate with.

  • @LUVMAGNUMGUNS2 did it look like he was even trying?

  • wow, i bench more than that, you weakling. thats like fuckin 95 pounds, you foolish motherfucker

  • @ariisbest2 Have you heard the word: DEMONSTRATE???

  • i need help!! when i bench press what i do is: i place my self on the bench with feet flat on the floor, i try to 'tuck' my shoulder blades under before i place myself on the bench, but my problem is that when i do the movement slowly i don't actually feel my chest working, it feels as if my shoulders & arms are receiving the workload...why could this be? please help!

  • hes sooo akward lol

  • Hey check out my video and see if I have errors.. New to starting bench press and everything. I need to know how to do stuff better.. Please comment if you see errors on my technique... And tell me the proper technique. Thanks..

  • Ok, do not listen to this clown telling you to put the clamps in. YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO put the safety clamps in when you bench press. If something does happen and you cant get the weight up you need to tilt it to the side so the weights can fall off and you can live to bench another day. "Expert" my ass.

  • @Dmaan0601 Wrong. If the weight is too heavy and can't push it back up you push it forward at an angle towards your lower abs/upper hamstrings. At that spot it won't kill you.

From there you roll it off or lift it as you stand....Simple logic. You are far from an expert yourself though, my friend. :P

  • @13andincredeblycut Your fucking retarded. When you are benching heavy weight like say... 250+ it is dangerous to do what u are suggesting. I have had to do exactly what ur suggesting before and i can tell u it is much safer to just let the weights fall off the sides, you are not supposed to put clamps in when you dont have a spot dumbass. If u have a spot then by all means put clamps on if u want, but if ur benching alone ur not supposed to have them in.

  • @Dmaan0601 Heavy in your opinion only. You can't speak for any one else....To you 250lbs+ might be heavy, while others may be repping that like a toy.

  • @13andincredeblycut If your repping it like a toy hardass, why the hell are you watching this......faggot

  • @13andincredeblycut If it's a weight you can't push back up, you should have been smart enough to get a spotter who can help you force out a few repetitions so that you didn't just waste a set and you might actually get some chest work out of it.

  • do more exercises for your left shoulder:D

  • Any one that has good knowledge on fitness please answer this, for an 18 yr old, 64kg, 5ft7, is a bench press of 60kg 5 reps a set any good for my size and age?

  • @mrahman1992 I'm 16, 6ft2, 75kg and I can do that, for your size I'd say yes.

  • @mrahman1992 ya thats fine but u should be a able to get 2 100 kg

  • @niedoba thanks, any idea how long this will take and how much training it will require? I cant go above 60 at the mo because il just get trapped under the bar after a few reps.

  • @mrahman1992 how long id say u would have to do 3 days a week of 1 hour do ur 60 kgs fast on up very slow on down and also tense as u go up if ur doing curls same thing fast up down slow dumb bell same thing dont do it stand up u doing it with right hold it with u right left hand knee bring it to ur left side were ur heart is up fast down slow say 5 secounds 2 get down fasttest your allowd to come down is 3 and half this will work ur muscle if you need any help just messge me im happy to help.

  • @niedoba nice one, i will take your advice, another thing, are protein shakes essential to build muscle, do they cause any significant increase?

  • @mrahman1992 it really depends on what u take like me atm im takeing a lean to get my muscle to show and it bost my enegey alot which means longer work outs which means batter and faster times off geting the results u want if u tell me whatu take i can help u with this

  • @niedoba Its called maximuscle cyclone, dont know if they do it in the u.s,basicaly it contains mainly protein 60g, creatine 10g, glutamine 10g per daily serving. Its supposed to make you gain weight though gaining muscle.

  • @mrahman1992 iv heard of it im in aus btw im pretty sure that is for mass from what iv heard its a mass supplement helps u to gain mass if i was u i would propley use it but then when u say hit 70 kgs i would get a lean supplemnt protean shake which helps u get the right stuff in ur body i would say it would give u bit more enegey or bost it alot considering what ur body is like and how it works not ever persons body is the same but i would say its for mass which is what u need

  • as soon as i seen 'expert village' i thought "meh, wheres scooby?"

  • @ghostface2006 Haha we all know it scooby's a ledgend ;)

  • @ghostface2006 Everybody got to love scooby1961 :D

  • So, do you strech out after doing upper body stuff? I always do, but my friends say it's not the ideal thing to do. Help plz.

  • he doesent have a clue how to bench, fucking idiot

  • increase your bench press insidertrainingsecrets dot co m

  • he just lifted 10kg wow! hes really strong "/

  • @MrKp0w lol, thats because he's showing the technique u dumb bitch

  • @MrKp0w Olympic bars weigh 20kg so he is doing about 30-40kg so get it right. And what xIIPrEdaToRIIx said it is jsut a demo.

  • @joejoesatchimo lol u faggot , lololol u actually thought i was being serious, ur the moron, its quite clear they are olympic weights...

  • Yeah idiots. A bench press is a back lift heres a little something when you lay on the bench lift your shoulder blades by using your head, and pinch them together and lay on them. Bench is a full body lift your using back, legs, triceps pectoral muslces and shoulders. 2/3 of it is your back. Never lock your shoulders out, you lock out your shoulders because they are tired and your resting them after each stroke. Have your core engaged always. Keep your wrists straight don't bend them.

  • Cont 1

Generally, for bench press you want to lower the bar within an inch above or below the nipple line. Keep forearms near vertical as you lower, you can't if hards are too close together. The up movement should be faster, Done right, you should try to squeeze your pec muscles together during the last third part of life as you raise the bar.

  • Cont 1

How do you know you've reached 80% of your potential height? You can't know. A rough estimate is if you are within an inch of your tallest parent's height. The simple fact is IF you damage the growth plates in your leg bones they will prematurely start to harden and then your leg bones will stop growing and once that happens you can't get taller. MANY things can harm growth plates, not just weight training. A simple stumble can cause it. It is RARE but real. Is is NOT a myth.

  • im 17, 5 foot 7 125 lbs, is that good for my height?
