I think this film is a comedy grotesque , very funny. The grandmother with twice amputated brain... The girl collecting wrappers from sweets, eaten he boyfriend.... Weight of twins...What a fantazy:))) I was very much entertained with this film. And nice music of Rahman. Just love it!

I am sorry. but this film is soo ridiculous. Is it the tamil definition of funny? No wonder when dubbed into hindi the film was a major dissapointment. No offence to all the fans but I did enjoy some of the moments of this song incase you ask me back why the heck I watched it?

I am a tamil. But I have stayed various parts of the world.  One thing I observed is the comedy aspect various widely among people. They vary between countries and various regions within the country. Some of the american standup comedies are so funny to americans but hardly can create a smile with indians. In my view, tamils like comedy - kind of silly just like this.That's why it was a huge hit. To ordinary tamils many of Akshay kumar antics are weired. If you like it enjoy or just leave it.

Now that you have said it I agree with you. Although I found the film to be a bit silly does not mean its the case for everyone ptherwise it would not have become such a huge hit down South. It appeals to a significant portion of audiences coming from a particular region.
