Well, I got to this point after number of trials ;)

This little stool is folding, so I can take it anywhere, it's a little too low, so I put a shoe box with my batt ir roving on it and it works.

You know, it never occurred to me to spin with the spindle supported a little below where I sit. That's brilliant! (Or I'm really dumb.) :)
