  • Hello again lol. I ordered the Pinocchio 70th anniversary (region 1) which arrived today but the slipcase isn't quite the same (i.e it doesn't shine from the star). Pretty frustrating, 'cause I have a thing about really shiny slipcases, particularly when it comes to Disney. And that Pinocchio one is a must have! Agh, so I'm trying to find another one on ebay (there's a couple with a picture of the original item) so I hope I can get it cheap! I know they're pretty rare & sought after though.

  • I love your collection, its amazing! :D I've basically only just started to expand my small DVD collection, (started with the Disney's, naturally :p) & while my dad has recently bought a HD TV with a blu-ray player, the TV is only small & really not worth my time starting over my collection on Blu-Ray. Though I am sometimes rather tempted, particularly with the new releases of the classics & the more bonus features you can get (i.e. Lady & the Tramp). Generally though I'm quite happy with DVDs!

  • @DVDeMm Hey, thought I'd post from here as it seemed appropriate. I have a few hundred points saved up on DMR but can't decide which DVD to order. Out of these 3 which would you recommend the most;

The Black Cauldron, Oliver & Company, The Fox and the Hound

I may have watched them as a kid but I really can't remember, so they would all be a blind-buy.

  • i love ur disney dvd collection

  • I appreciate you replying. Thanks for your help.

  • Sweet Jesus! I have about 2% of the Disney film you have in here lol! *Must buy more awesome Disney*... :)

  • Did you ever get around to watching Prison Break season 4? Great series

  • Emma I sent you a comment on twitter when you were on the other night but got no reply (in fact I've sent you a few posts over the past year for deals and such and never got a reply come to think of it and lots of #FF?). Have you watched my vids? Did you see anything that was missing from your collection that you would like to get? Oh and I did the video response thing but dunno if I did it right (never done one before) but it's not showing up beside fergs link. Have a gret weekend Emma!

  • @JAMESTALKALOT Sorry James I don't mean to be rude. Sometimes I read things on the fly at work and then have to rush off and never get to replying. Constantly getting told off for not replying to texts too! I have watched the first part and need to watch the rest now. I want that Cinderella set for sure!

  • @DVDeMm I know where you're coming from Emma lol. You just make a mental note to reply later and then 2 mins later forget. Do it all the time myself haha. BTW I see what you meant about youtube. Been a right pain, so was facebook. I wonder if they are now run by the same people lmao! No posts on that were working for a bit also. The Cinderella set is very nice. I thought you would like that one :D I think that's out this year? Maybe they will do a blu ray set? Thanks Emma!

  • Have you ever seen the Disney film Three Caballeros ? Ive seen the trailer and it looks pretty good

  • @Macktube Haven't seen it but almost picked it up a few times. Definitely need that one.

  • Amazing collection Emm so jealous! I still have yet to see the live action Tim Burton Alice In Wonderland. I've heard so many mixed things about it is it worth seeing/picking up at some point?

  • @RazMansReality Thank you. Yes, definitely worth seeing. I love Alice in Wonderland and love Tim Burton, they're both as wacky as each other so its a no brainer for me lol

  • @DVDeMm Awesome thanks Emm hope all is well :)

  • You have so many Disney films that I've never heard of :)

Hocus Pocus <3 SJP can do no wrong! My Sister & I watch that film every Halloween without fail. It's gotta be done!

    Great collection :)

  • @LadyHaych The old classics! lol. Yes I love Hocus Pocus and SJP. Obsessed with that movie and she was my fave.

  • Where did you get your Pinocchio Steelbook from? I WANT! I WANT! I didn't even know there were Disney Steelbooks!

I've only ever watched the first Toy Story. How ridiculous is that?!

Bambi is my favourite but I don't own it yet. I don't know what the best version to get is. I kinda wanted to get the one with Bambi 2 because I actually really enjoyed Bambi 2 almost as much as Bambi, aha!

I have pretty much all the book sets but I don't have Beauty & The Beast :( This makes me sad.

  • @LadyHaych I think it was a Best Buy US exclusive. I was lucky enough to have somebody pick it up for me.

Yes that is ridiculous, get on the other 2. You will ball your eyes out! Such good films lol.

I haven't seen Bambi 2 but know i'd love it!

  • I live in Ireland and want to buy Criterion blurays. Is your bluray multi region? If so, what model? I cant find a player over here anywhere. Also what's the best online site to buy? Thanks very much.

  • @stankubrick1 My blu-ray player is region free but it can no longer be updated and one of my discs won't play as it needs updating...so its a risk buying new region A discs these days. The Criterions all seem to play though *fingers crossed* Its a Technika player.

Best online site for Criterions is probably Amazon or Barnes & Noble but from within the UK Movietyme. Check ebay for bargains too.

  • Love the video...The Great Mouse Detective was my favorite one as well...Robin Hood and The Rescuers Down Under are awesome too....Pretty much all the Disney's...The Brave Little Toaster was one of those movies that came on TV every week. Great adventure movie..

  • @Balistic82 All classics. I wanna be a kid again!

  • You should film everything on the iPhone, in landscape mode that is ;-)

  • would you know if Aladdin is coming out on blu ray?

  • Do you have the Hmv lion king limited edition set?

  • Great video Emma! earned a favourite :D

  • Great collection

  • Emma, your collection is incredible! That Pinocchio steelbook is like my most wanted thing ever - it's just so expensive! Also, the Aladdin and Lion King DVD/book sets are to die for. I really need to get some of the older live action Disneys on DVD because I've never seen most of them - Wacther in the Woods looks kind of cool. Also, thanks for showing your Little Mermaid, but I've sent it back because I'm certain it was fake.

  • OMG! I am SHOCKED, Emma! Tell me there's Part 2. How come you don't have "Atlantis: The Lost Empire" and "Treasure Planet"? You HAVE to have these two. They're, like, my all-time favorite Disney films. Love your collection, BTW.

  • @LizardGorgeous No part 2 I'm afraid! I've been a slacker on a lot of the newer ones!

  • @DVDeMm But have you seen them at least?

  • @LizardGorgeous Nope I haven't. For shame!

  • so jealous! i hate that disney put most of my favorite films in vaults and have to wait years for the next release

  • amazing collection! I picked up the same monsters inc DVD edition for £2!!, what a bargain!

Im a big fan of slipcases and you've got some awesome ones!

  • Emma you're sureily making me tempted to try and aid you with your collection in some way or another. :D Nice collection thus far. :)

  • What a magnificent Disney collection you have my dear, i love the booksets you have

  • Thanks so much for doing this, love your collection :) Love those steelbooks, the Pinocchio one is especially nice. Big fan of the Toy Story 3/Bolt combo pack ;) Notice your missing some of the newer ones, would of thought you'd at least have Lilo & Stitch, or not a fan? Still holding off Alice in Wonderland blu because the UK doesn't come with a slipcase? Was watching The Little Mermaid special features and what a film! I need to watch that again, I may loose man points but I love it so much.

  • @fergmaster I think since Blu-ray came out I was concentrating on them and ignoring the other classics I need. I guess I'm just waiting on the Blu's for most of them...except the sequels which I should probably just pick up in 2 for £10's! Yeah I was hoping to the Alice US Blu with a slipcase but doesn't seem to be happening! I really want The US Fox & The Hound set and Winnie The Pooh Blu too!

  • Nice one Emma! Me and the kids were going to do a Disney video a few months back but we never got around to it. I have a good few bits n bobs you've not got, so I might stick a video up to show you later. Great stuff. I only really buy Disney stuff around Easter. Dunno why but I seem to do that every year lol. Watcher in The Woods is ace. Do you remember a 80s movie called Something Wicked This Way Comes? (Ray Bradbury) Another good and freaky one from Disney that I used to love in my childhood

  • @JAMESTALKALOT Yes please do a video! I recognise the film Something Wicked but don't have a memory of it. Gotta love creepy Disney!

  • @DVDeMm I did a reply to this comment a wee while ago but I don't think it posted. Anyway, I filmed it right after watching your video but I did not have time till a wee while ago to upload it. It's uploading and should be done by the morning. Haha Creepy Disney was ace in the early 80s :D

  • OMG I LOVE a good Disney Blu Ray Collection. Ive been waiting to see this video for a long time. You have to get the Princess and The Frog Ironpak, its unbelievable. I have some Target and other Exclusive Disney editions coming in soon that Im really happy about. I will def do a video response to this with my own collection as soon I can :)

  • @Macktube Cool, look forward to seeing that. Its killing me that I can't afford to hunt out Disney's at the moment! I'm going to California for two weeks and desperately saving for that and then two conventions when I get back here! Need it all out of the way so I can get back to my collection! lol

  • wow, that's an amazing collection! I love Disney. Great display also!

  • Jealous of it all! I didn't start actively buying DVD's till after most of these went into the "Disney Vault" and I regret it, especially now that waiting for the Blu's feels like an eternity!

  • @Crisrav1138 Damn that vault!!

  • How big is your tv?

  • @LikeToGame80 It's 42''

  • I love your setup

  • tv update soon?

  • the uk dvd edition of Popeye has 6 songs missing from the original US cut which means theres 14 minutes of footage missing

  • @Glynreaper08 That's a lot! Need to get the US cut then.
