In my view, America’s military personnel are the best in the world, and as a British man I am immensely proud of the fact that my nation still has many thousands of troops in Afghanistan fighting alongside our American brothers, doing everything possible to destroy the evil, misogynistic Taliban and the murderous Al-Qaeda. As a matter of fact, aside from the United States, Britain still has more troops in Afghanistan than every other nation in the world put together.
my uncle was a hero he passed away last night. navy commander of patuexent naval air base. Jakob krutzfeldtz disease killed him. he was the smartest greatest man ive ever met and i love him. hes going to Alington cemetary
People in my school think war only affects one side and when I tell them it affects both they look at me like I have three heads. I understand war more then anyone in my school. And when they ask why people have wars I tell them that it's part of human nature and cannot be changed and they don't understand that. It's a sad and terrible truth. I've often considered joining the navy because I want to keep my friends and family safe and happy.
@JuggaloOzi Its what it costs to stand between the innocent and the ruthless dictators and oppressors so that they may taste freedom and make a choice for themselves. Mercy for the guilty (Hussein, bin Laden, etc.) is treason to the innocent...
very moving and well done and the love that I fell for each and every person that wears a uniform in our Military "God bless each of every one of you"

Such a moving song that should remind all Americans of the ultimate sacrifice made by those in uniform. It always reminds of the cost of our freedom. I love this song. It sends chills down my spine every time I hear it. My Father and Uncles all Served in Different Branches of the Military. So we were raised to be Proud American's and to be Proud of our Service Men and Women. And to respect our Soldiers and Veterans.
Thank for the video my twin brother goes back to Afghanistan in October for his second tour Afghanistan I pray for him and all of the people that he works with hears hoping that they can all come home safe and we get the hell out of there

A soldier died in the field of battle and came up to the gates of heaven, where he met God. He said to God," Lord, I know I did many things i ain't proud of, and many more that you won't approve of, so if you send me to hell, I won't argue." God stood there for a moment, and then turned to the gatekeeper of heaven. "Let him in", he said.? The gatekeeper, confused, asked why. God looked down at the soldier and said," This man just came from hell."
it really offends me to see people protesting outside a funeral for a fellow soldier. i want to go up to them and lay them out. they dont know what its like to take a life or watch a friend loose his. especially when he dies in your arms and you cant do shit to save him. R.I.P. Pvt. Miller.
@cdrsportspaintball it offends me too. even though i don't plan on joining the military, theyr still like an extended family to me, bein i have a cousin in the National Guard. Im sorry for your lost friend & thank you for your service.
@cdrsportspaintball i agree about wanting to lay out some of those people as well. those are the type of people who should be sent out first. that way they'll have a better understanding of what's going on at a funeral of a soldier. also feel like walking upto one of them and do what steve austin's fininshing move when he was wrestling.
Both of my cousins died in afghanistan last year.God bless them for what they did.I pray that all citizens of this country will wake up and relize this is a great nation.Godbless America
i love our troops and hope they make it home safely god bless every family with someone in the service they put there lives out there so we can be free they are true heros!!!!!!!
I like where he says, "There's a big white house sits on a hill just up the road, The man inside he cried the day they brought me home..." I believe it's because G.W. did cry a little bit for our soldiers. What a man....
This really touched my heart ! Thank you to all those fallen soldiers and those who are still serving for their sacrifice , As a AFJROTC cadet I know it's not easy ! -3
I Salute all my fellow service members...past and present... especially the fallen heros who layed down there lives for us.... (( you will not be forgotten....))
Today, I honor the memory of my maternal grandfather, Ray F. Coats (1921-1978 U.S.N./CM3 [1943-45]) and all our men and women in uniform, living, and deceased, who have selfllessly served our country with pride and courage. I acknowledge your sacrifice for my freedom, and I thank you for being willing to do what I couldn't . (I'm classified 4-F b/c of a neurological disorder.)
To All from a Soldier still serving.... All we ever want is not the glory, but just a simple THANK YOU.... Thanks to all who appreciate all that our service members do for them!!! and for those who criticize... just one thing... IF YOU CAN'T STAND BEHIND OUR TROOPS...DO EVERYONE A FAVOR AND STAND IN FRONT OF THEM!!!!
@FreedomFighter7457 Nice way to speak your mind!! I will say Thank You.. for all you are doing for the rest of us!! My husband did six years in the Marines, never saw combat, but i have a huge respect for those who do. Come home safe we love all of you!!
Thank you to all the service Men and Woman who have and continue to protect our free country. I firmly believe in protecting our country, however with the air and ship fire power the US forces have I no longer see the need to send so many ground troops. The US is the only country that follows the rules of engagement which cost us to many men. The video is beautiful and I feel for the families who lost their loved one and the survivors of all the wars we have enagaged in. God bless everyone.
One day I'll go to America and visit the Arlington National Cemetery and thank and honor everyone of them for fighting for their homeland. May God rest all of them souls!!!
What a beautiful tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the name of freedom. Because of them, I am free. I know there are many who hate us, but I don't care, I am proud to be an American. Thank you Dad, for your service to this country, I love and miss you!
As a Vietnam vet and retired military it took me a long time after Nam to really be proud of my service. Now that I am part of Patriot Guard I ride in honor of our service members and funerals for our vets. We have to remember what Memorial Day really means and I fly my full flags all this weekend to honor all that have gone before. This song tells it all. Thanks for posting and I shared it for all to see.
I just want you to know I was one of the few who supported you guys in a very unpopular war. All my friends were there and some didn't come back. I wore a POW bracelet w/ my soldier's name and had several penpals...I have 8 penpals today. I know you don't think so, but some of us cared and prayed for you guys. Way too late, but Welcome Home...and Thank YOU!
@blukni112 Thank you for your service now and in Vietnam...my dad is also a Vietnam vet and I'm a Daddy's through and through. I was always asking him questions and bragging about my Daddy. This pride and interest of the past led me to choose History and one of my majors and learn and try to understand the past, so we never make those same mistakes. He has now been diagnosed with CLL from exposure to Agent Orange so I know firsthand how much more we need to be doing FOR our Vets...Thank You
Thanks for creating this. My father is buried at Arlington. I discovered Trace Adkins about a year ago. Didn't realize he had a song about Arlington National Cemetary. I've shared with my brother and sister. A wonderful salute to our heroes, especially at Memorial Day.
Thanks for sharing this video. I was looking for something for our FB page to share. I dont know who took the picture of the flag @1:27 sec. You may have noticed their seems to appear a cross in the left corner of the flag. Gave me chills! BTW. FB page is New Union Quartet.
I am shedding humble tears of gratefulness to all who have to served - those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, so that me & mine can be safe. Thank You, All.
Thank you for this most beautiful video, those past, present and future.. who choose to defend our freedoms, give the last full measure.. to those that come home and those that do not.. May God keep you all in the Palm of his Hand..Thank you seems so simple, yet... so right.
This song made me cry and i just want to say this i heard this once and KNEW i LOVED this song so so much! Good job thank you! I will listen to this song EVERYDAY! I love it just that much! If you don't like this song go fuck yourself! This is a really sweet song! I love it and it doesn't seem like 4 minutes and 22 seconds long. It seems more like 1 minute and 10 seconds! I will never forget this song! NEVER!
As a vet .most real soldiers understand that not much good comes from wars, and that the people you are fighting don't want to die either and If it was up to the men on the battlefield to choose a peacefull solution they certianly would. The truth is the world just dosn't work that way. So you have to dig to the core of what you stand for and belive The great thing about America is that you dont have to fight for something you dont belive in. But people had to die so you get that option.
As long as you understand military force is necessary because there are those who would attempt to destroy us. I would not want to arbitrarily go into places to kill people if it wasn't for the sake of protecting our country. I proudly served 22 1/2 years and I salute all who have given their all for our country. Freedom isn't free. It comes at a cost.
i feel sorry for all those people that disliked this video because if your friends and family found out im sure they would not appreciate you like they used to
I served several tours myself and this song just reminds me of our fallen brave Men and Women. After returning I had the Honor of being a Casualty notification officer. I think that was the hardest job I ever had to do in my career. but it was an Honor to assist the families of our fallen and to make sure they recieved every benefit they deserve. My opinion of the war has not changed. WE Must win. But also we need to protect our borders as well. Illegals and liberals here are just as dangerous
love this song, I have no real reason to write here but do it anyway, just wanna thank you all for what you people have done and are doing, to all soldiers out there.
for everyone that dislikes this, strap on some combat boots, a helmet, and a rifle and step into the shoes of a soldier. Then look back at everyone, like you, that dislike videos like this, and see how you feel. i should strip you of all of your freedoms and throw you in the desert and see how long it takes you to call mom.
@meforsale123 well said. After two tours and a third one coming, i am disappointed that people don't support the military. This country needs alot more like you.
this song will take any true blue american back to reality it will take you back to our core values it will take you back to a less selfish time in our history its a fresh reminder that the usa and americans world wide could never feel at home anywhere but right here this song reminds us how important family is it reminds us of the real american dream the dream of freedom my fellow americans we are the chosen ones our country is a beacon to the world god bless this great republic
We should flood FB and youtube ect with this!!!!...I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands: One Nation Under GOD, Indivisible, With Liberty And Justice For All. ...RE-POST IF YOU THINK GOD, OUR COUNTRY, OUR TROOPS, & OUR FLAG DESERVE RESPECT! Let's see how many Americans will ACTUALLY re-post this
I swear all the people who disliked this song should have their citizinship revoked and taken to Iraq and around the world to see what our soldiers do. Its people like you that make our GREAT country look weak and give our enemies hope that someday they will be able to beat us. As for the rest of us I'm proud to be an American, proud of our soldiers and proud to be able say that. Without our troops you wouldnt even be able to say you dont like America. Have some respect. God bless our troops <3
i am a Pacifism it dose mean i will not defend my country if it needs to be, i just believe we should seek a peaceful way first if all else fails then we use the military force.
@blackeyerat Greetings blackeyerat. If I were a pacifist, I would not want to show my face here among all who believe that America is worth defending to the death. And, it would be good if you would learn to spell before posting here. Not knowing what "dose" means, I don't know if you would defend America or not. Don't you think that every President who ever sent our troops into battle felt that they had exhausted all peaceful alternatives first?
@atimetoremember I agree with almost everything you said and this is an awesome video. The only thing I disagree with you on is where you said "Don't you think that every President who ever sent our troops into battle felt that they had exhausted all peaceful alternatives first?" There are some throughout history that have committed our troops to battle because of their own agenda. Sadly, our troops die for this.
@blackeyerat so basically let me get this straight ur a liberal anti war and u would much rather watch innocent americans that run this god blessed country be in danger because u believe that we need to be attacked before we take action instead of sending those who VOLUNTEERED to protect our loved ones? yeah fuck off i have thanked my father and both grandfathers forr servin along with all troops, which is why i signed up take ur passive ass somewhere else
I have never had reason to comment on dislikes before, but if i found the 27 people that disliked this I would take the liberty of dragging their sorry asses out of my country. GOD bless AMERICA and all those who have died to protect her freedom and glory.
while trace does have some crazy songs out there he still has amazing songs like this one and "your going to miss this" that have so much meaning to them and really makes me respect Trace Adkins
@Pyroson100 - There are a lot of radicals out there that hate us. I have deleted numerous hateful comments about this video. I know this is a country with free speech. But it is also a country with a free DELETE button.
Amen and please feel FREE to delelte all those who are negative about the US and her troops. I just dont understand if they hate it here so much why dont they leave. They have that right and FREEDOM. I also firmly believe if they wont stand behind our troops they are more than welcome to stand in front of them.
My brother is also going into the Marines. My other brother is joining the Air Force and when I'm old enough I want to join the military. Thank you for your service. It is not forgotten or disrespected by me or my family. You and those like you are true heroes. We don't need a Superman or a Batman because we have you. Thank you. God bless America and all others who fight for what's right, who fight for freedom and choice.
Some recent facts about laying the wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier: In 1983 President Reagan had the deputy secretary of defense lay the wreath while he was at a summit. In 92, Bush 1 had Quayle do it. In 2007, while Bush 2 was on holiday in Texas, he had Cheney do it. This is just FYI.
Really guys? Why would you click the dislike thing? Im glad these soldiers fought and died knowing THEIR OWN love for this country, it seems some people forgot how great this country is and how luckly we all are.
My son is part of the Honor guard at Arlington and I can't begin to tell you how proud I am that this is his job.. He watches over those that reside there for all eternity.. I am an honored Mother of a United States Sailor. God Bless all who have given the ultimate sacirfice for my freedom and all of the families who have endured that pain..
Please thank your son for me and my family. God bless him and God bless all those serving our country. There's nothing better a person could do then die for his country. My own brothers are joining the Armed Forces and I know what kind of pride you must feel. I hope to join the military when I'm old enough too. Military runs in my family and I want it to keep going. Thank you for your son and his service to us all. God bless our troops.
to all of our fallen. godspeed and semper fi. to all my marines who have fallen, i will remember you until the day i pass. you guys motivate me to be a better marine every day i put on my uniform
My Great Grandad was a POW on the island of bataan for 3 years. he was never buried here but my great uncle was in spirit. his remains were never found. my Uncle was killed on a japanese cargo ship that was sunk by american warships. My grandfather lived throught the horrors of WW2 and died of health problems nearly 20 years ago. my love goes and thanks goes out to him, my uncle and all those who have died in all the wars since and before.
anyone else have that one person in their memory they think of everytime they hear this song?

Im sorry for your lost friend & thank you for your service.
countrytrucker900 6 months ago
@cdrsportspaintball i agree about wanting to lay out some of those people as well. those are the type of people who should be sent out first. that way they'll have a better understanding of what's going on at a funeral of a soldier. also feel like walking upto one of them and do what steve austin's fininshing move when he was wrestling.

Jenhavins 8 months ago 3
As long as you understand military force is necessary because there are those who would attempt to destroy us. I would not want to arbitrarily go into places to kill people if it wasn't for the sake of protecting our country. I proudly served 22 1/2 years and I salute all who have given their all for our country. Freedom isn't free. It comes at a cost.
