  • This is awesome! Haters comments sound like they hate it that they are not advance enough to understand this video, so to the haters you'd love the beginners/intermediate videos they made. I suggest start from there then come back to this video. You'll love it after getting more experience.

  • i do this combo,i like it. i also use some moves the combo in my other dances. some people included advanced level ones and instructors, have asked me how i learned this combo. this is a quite easy and outstanding combo.

  • fuori tempo

  • i like the girl she is really pretty.P

is she singel im in love of her.)

    cheers

  • Hi guys,

    thanks for a great video.

I'm loving all those 'very simple' :-) moves but don't get one thing - Lets say you're dancing with somebody you don't know - how do you guys communicate in all that speed what's coming next?

I'm having hard time anticipating when trying to dance with an advanced dancer - often turning the other way or completely being taken by surprise by any turns - throwing me off the beat... So embarrassing!

Also any tips how to get my head around those fast double spins?

  • im not sure why anyone would say stupid things about these guys! they are doing a great job! its fun to watch them, and as they already said they are not pros..even though they are very good! so shut up and stop judging others! keep up the good work guys! so much fun to watch u teach!

  • do you think by chance you can do such complex moves in a club?or does the woman you invite to dance has to be at the same level?because i heard men must always dance to the same level as the woman(which 99% is average if not very basic).

  • @Blazerelf ...I am a beginner at Salsa and most women at the Salsa clubs I go to don't Salsa at high level. Usually the women who Salsa at a high level only dance with guys they know can dance at the same level. Many of the advance level moves require a lot of space on the dance floor which you will not typically have in a club environment.

  • What's the song that's playing in the beginning?

  • @macguy4321 - It's 'Philadelphia Mambo' by 'Los Gatos'. Credit to @Maxxi2004

  • I find it quite sad of ppl to sit there and negatively criticize these people who has taken the time to even provide what they have learned. Who is perfect enough to put their own Salsa Video with "0" zero mistakes? I feel that if anyone feels that strong to put out ill remarks, then the obvious solution would be not to watch the video. I find it commendable of them to try to help others wanted to learn Salsa.

And to the Salsa instructors, please continue to do what you are doing? Thank you.

  • to rikipedia,

I am not the only one: apyhrys finds something wrong with this fabulous master of teaching. The dancing is simple but he makes jumble of the demo. rrhollings calls him an amature, and makes fun of him. Look face it the guy has a few steps but by no stretch, teacher, he's lousy by teaching standards. He thinks he is but he doesn't know better. Teachers are good dancers, but not all dancers are good teachers, he proves that point.

  • good job man you are verrrrry good at dancing

  • COMO SE LLAMA EL TEMA Y EL INTERPRETE DE LA MUSICA, ESTA BELLISIMA PARA PRACTICAR LA BUENA SALSA

  • 1:36 LOL one of the first thing I noticed in your videos is that you keep saying "very simple"! Stop doing this! :) It makes wanna break my pc screen!! LOL

  • The break down is not very clear. And, where is the correct posture shown for the guy?? Looking down is amateurish!!

  • you guys are amazing.

  • this isn't that advanced im learning that stuff in grade 9 right now, well most of those moves right now

  • to be honest guys, salsa at this level is complex....despite other people think, and being in front of a camera trying to make something useful for people that weren't blessed from above with an astonishing dancing skill!!!, that is really something to praise. Besides, they are doing this for a good purpose, not like some people's comments, full of bitterness...what is all this about guys? relax and learn, and if you know already..record a video and share it, so we can all learn more! cheers

  • The lady is somehow ok, but seriously, the man's movement is really awkward. Maybe you want to make the lady stand out, by not dancing nicely!??! But as an instructor, your dancing should be better. However, people who dislike this clip shouldn't be so rude.

    Post data: Admiro tu bellezaaaaaaaaaaaaa

    thank you brother

    peacesssssssssss

  • for someone who doesnt know how to salsa (myself) these videos are VERY helpful...you guys are wonderful and are doing a great job...and for the people hating on your videos I was told that if you dont have haters you're not doing anything right...in other words they are envious and jealous so all they know how to do is be negative and say negative things like little immature kids whose parents never taught them any better.

  • @qrkqt79

HA Ha Ha, lol, If you are above my intellegence. What's the point of lowering yourself and responding to what you call an idiot. El pendejo eres tu, way.

  • Where do I get to meet Julie? Name the class and the time and I will be there. Thank you have a good day.

I am a doctor and I have two puppies. I help out at the local homeless shelter and give to the needy. I'm rich and have a boat...a big big boat...does any of this interest her...Because i literally have or am none of that.

    All jokes aside, great dancing!

  • wow, i´m impressed!

i started salsa this january, and this looked complicated at first.

but you broke it down very well and made it understandable!

    thanks!

  • deja de darle tanta vueltas a esa mujer y bailala pegado...

  • Hello Anthony,

I just wanted to say thank you and congrats for your great work, you must know that your videos are very useful.

I hope that you upload more videos and please ignore the comments from the envy people and people that they thinks are better and they don't do nothin for helping people.

    Thanks again :)

  • Que man tan tieso, le falta Swing.

  • coooooool !

  • omg mnolivares is a dumb mother fucker!!! everybody that dance salsa knows that the count is 1 to 8 but the fucking 4 and 8 steps are not taken n use that only in yur mind or take those count to put yur own personal style to it....APERSAUD keep it up.. iam actually gonna teach myself some of those moves cos i love it..that chick hot too..lol....damn mnolivares piss me off..stupid fuck..

  • awesome turns.....keep it up!!

  • WOW What a perfect Video

    Thanks for Posting itsFantastic!!!!

    Such a good Explanation.....

I will refresh my Salsa Steps.....

  • Man there are some huge jerks here. This really helped me clarify stuff. Thank you!

  • Teaching salsa FAIL! xD I can't figure out how would someone keep spinning for so long. Moreover, what with the latin sabrosura?

  • another one that does not know what he is doing. Nice girl though.

  • Hi Anthony,

The part where you lead her to an in place left turn, since you're not blocking her way, how would she know to turn in place, as opposed to doing a traveling left turn (like a crossbody 1-1/2)? Thanks for your great instructions.

  • do you count like that when you are having sex? my god !

  • ya cache

  • just awesome!! salsa 4 ever...

  • u dont teach PASSION, and they dont hav2 be doin it after dancin ;S

  • what's the name of the song

  • Los Gatos - Philadelphia mambo

  • Good teacher's / instructors, watching this video and other Latino dance video's today I really gonna think to start learning the Salsa dance.

  • dont u think theres supposed to be more hip movements?cuz salsa is supposed to be spicy n sexy.....thats wht i feel:P

  • Comment removed

  • What is the name of the song in the beginning of this video?

  • @Madoxyama Tell me if youve found it, Im also curious

  • If you are a fan of latin music, check out Paloma Gomes and her amazing song Canta Bahia :)

  • thank you!

  • I really enjoyed your video I learned a couple of new moves and move combinations thank you i look forward to anything you put out

  • At no point do we say we are professionals, and the videos are here for supplementary purposes just as textbooks and workbooks help a professor during a lesson keep students engaged and enthusiastic about the material.

  • no worries apersaud, people can say what they want...the no. of views you have for this video tell all..we just want to dance and enjoy while at it...to those smart alecs, please furnish us with your clips(if u have any here) and lets learn from you guys too... express your expertise in video form , not writing garbage here..

  • @mnolivares

the salsa shown during dancing with the stars isnt the "real salsa" i think. thats all competition dancing... nobody would and COULD dance this style in a club but that is where salsa grew up ;)

so... i stick to the "idiots" who don't need a choreo in marked contrast to the competition ballroom dancers.

but don't get me wrong... i love salsa but ballroom, too :)

  • @mnolivares well "arthur murray instructor", y don't you put an instructional video on here to prove to anthony that he's as worthless as you're making him out to seem. I don't even know this Anthony guy, but it seems he's putting "professional schools" like yours out of business. I don't think you could hold a 9:26 long class and have 1,402,666 people show up to it.

  • The 4 & 8 are counts in which steps are not taken, and therefore are not explicitly mentioned. As you know, Ballroom Salsa is taught as 'quick, quick, slow' - which correlate to the tuple of counts (1,2,3) and (5,6,7), where the 4 & 8 elongate the timing (slow) of the counts 3 & 7. Therefore, by convention in instruction, these counts are omitted. If you watch our advanced videos, the 4 & 8 are used for body movement, styling and additional steps when performing more complex patterns.

  • @apersaud you are the best such a style!! really

  • @mnolivares what a complete tool, you obviously have no idea what you're talking about, whether its on1, or on2, the full 8 count is rarely used in partner dancing and is still not too common in shines, do us all a favor and keep your opinions separate from fact

  • @mnolivares You are an idiot! I have been teaching for nearly 18 years, am Cuban, and learned from one of the best Cuban instructors in Miami. These are supplementary techniques which are great in my opinion. Dancing with the stars is expected to be better because they choreograph it. The two dancers here did not state they are pros, but they do a great job.

Also, before you attack people the way you do, take a look in the mirror. If you are so professional, start speaking professionally.

  • @mnolivares Let us see your professional dancing "MR PRO". I checked your channel and found 0 uploads dere.

Anthony and team: Launching the one and only website which contains FREE OF COST dance lessons from beg to adv level is really an appreciateable effort you ppl made. Hats off 4 u and lill info 4 MR PRO. All the great dancers from Eddie Torres to SuperMario they have one thing commen HUMBLENESS which you dont have so u r just a professional shit-eater and a professional hater infact.

  • @mnolivares I really have to wonder what is going through mnolivares' head. He doesn't hear the words "four" and "eight" spoken, so the 4th and 8th beats are unaccounted for? Eh? Ah, the mystery of the missing beats. Where did they go? Nobody knows!

  • well seems like you dont know anything about dancing all you guys like is the ez stuff like the hip hop thing

  • whoa now, Hip hop dance is not easy. As a hip hop, modern, jazz, ballroom and Latin dancer, I find that each style presents their own unique set of challenges. If this is a response to mnolivares, I completely agree tho.

  • That's how you count in salsa, mambo, rumba, samba - in fact in most Latin and ballroom dance forms those are how the counts work.

  • I think mnolivares is really jealous with a big portion of inferiority complex. I didn't even read one rational reason why this video should be a mess. Mnolivares must be some sort of fourth class self-appointed salsa teacher who needs to bash other only to feel better and extraordinary and to cover how poor he in reality is. First of all try to make it better and show it on youtube or be quite you fool!

  • I don't think this clown is complicated enough to have a complex. Sounds like a garden variety troll to me.

It's easy to take shots from the sideline and offer nothing, while the person taking the hit has produced an anthology of material for everyone to enjoy.

  • @aonjmj well said buddy!!

  • first of all this isnt a beginner lesson.he also does beginner lessons but the more advanced salsa dancers like to learn new advanced stuff to.and here he's showing us a dance pattern and some of us know a lot of the moves he does and learn how to make a new dance pattern out of it.and because we know the moves already he doesnt need to tell how to do everey move and everycount.he's defenitly not a bad teacher and if you think your so good than show us. put your videos where your mouth is.

  • solo saben dar vueltas no sabe bailar ... de pasos no sabe nada!!!

  • Awesome.....

a question please call the song as background...

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahhaha

    please call??? wtf

  • salsa Goya! ? ha ha ha..:), true they need to enjoy; besides the mechanics= how it turned out salsa, now;(; Enjoy ;; pls!

  • Nice moves indeed...not as hard as they look....and i think u dance is a little clumsy....le falta un poco de "salsa latina"...

  • I agree with you. The technique and the knowledge is there but I don't see any flavor or flow. The dancing is too stiff not fluid. It has to have sauce. It needs salsa goya!

  • If anyone visits Panama One Day, I recommend going to Talleres Aprende Bailar Salsa. Its Cheap and you learn a lot.

  • Dude anyone can dance man. And if you watch this a million times you will be pretty good. That's how I got really really good. Now I have chicas ask'n ME "can I dance with you?" lol. Trust me if u practice by watching these videos you'll get it.

  • the hottest women in the world are salsa dancers, too bad my bitch ass cant dance it.....maybe if i watch this a million times, i will subconsiously know how to dance it by the time i wake up tommorow

  • Dear elpinchewey666, you won't learn salsa from watching this video ten million times. One of the best ways to learn is Edie The Salsa Freak's Beginners Bootcamp. If you really want to learn salsa and are free this Thanksgiving Weekend, come to her Bootcamp at the Seattle Salsa Congress.

  • i just started like yesterday, it is fucking great. you should learn how! my bf is Mexican, but can't do salsa. he's learning. we also do zumba, which incorporates it. hahaha

  • @elpinchewey666 maybe you need to rethink your goals on why you want to dance 'cause dancing salsa doesn't necessarily guarantee you good-looking women. it definitely improves your chances since it's a good ice-breaker; but it doesn't guarantee it.

nice job apersaud. i know why there is no "latin flavor" during the teaching session. KISS -- keep it simple, stupid, even though this is advanced. thanks for all the schoolin'!

  • do anyone know which rendition of the song the is every time i try finding this song i get many different versions but this one is the best one imo

  • This one is by "Los Gatos"

  • That is a great pattern, specially the cuddle work.

What is the song at the beginning?

  • you do great workm absolutely, i picked up on something new with this, thank you :)

  • That's... very impressive. imagine doing that in a club.

  • Thanks for the vid, certainly some moves i'll try out there.

One question though, any reason for teaching the routine on1 when you dance it on2 at the start? Just curious.

  • First off, please don't comment about any race as if you speak for all of us. I am hispanic and you DAMN sure don't speak for me. If you think only latin people can dance Salsa, you are as I like to say: a TOOL. That's like saying only black people can play basketball, or only brown people can play baseball. Get a life and don't hate cause you CAN'T relate. These peeps can dance their ASS OFF! addicted2salsa is the shiznit!

  • great :)

whats the name oft the song? i like it ;)

  • génial, fantastique, merveilleux, époustouflant ^^

  • Yeah it's latin... but it origins from fish sellers...It's question if you want dance orignal salsa, or dance as pro...

Verguenza.

  • DE ACUERDO!!!

  • hey what's the name of the song??

  • Lacks flare and cuban motion (needs more hip movement) However, very nice detailed instruction on how to do the spins.

  • WHY LATIN FRIEND?

BECAUSE SALSA IS A LATIN MUSIC .

    THATS A SILLY QUESTION.

YEAH other nationalities can dance salsa , sure , but not like latin people. AZUCAR

  • salsa is not spining after spining, remember when you go to disco , you will not find the space for the spin or those difficults moves...., make you own style , and the best way to learn , is asking a latin friend to teach you or go to the disco and watch people dancing ...thank you

  • why does it have to be a "latin friend" you fuckwit?? other nationalities can dance salsa also

  • simply, beacuse salsa (or merengue, bachata, etc.) is not a common dance in other countries

  • i think they do a qood job but i dont think they dancinq with rhythm i jus feel like im watchin 2 robots dancinq. nd thats not entertaininq or sexy nd trust me dance is supposed to be sexy i dont really like how they dance but i do like the turns.

  • i like these guys. They're very good, not perfect but certainly entertaining. And i respect anyone who's willing to give free lessons online seeing as how most people are stingy with their art fom. So many thanks to apersaud. And lil miss thang over there does turn extemely well. :)

  • i'm suppose to be watching the guy move...but goddamn..that blondie got my eyes...can't take it off her...HOOAH

  • @MrGentlehand She makes me feel kinda funny... like climbing the rope in gym class...

  • dont make a the wrong people do the right job,

  • no "zapatees", no es cumbia

  • Jaja, cierto. Parece que tira patadas al aire!

  • that is aload of sit the man has terrible posture and poise and his footwork is a mess.

  • that needs improvement when counting steps and at the beginning they are not with music's rythm, they lose it very fast,

    he moves rather strange!

  • if u think they are off beat there not its because what you are listening to and what they are listening to are completely different

  • Awesome moves from both of you. Great teacher!

  • she really is a great spinner lol u should have n in depth lesson in spinning for girls somtimes i wonder y they cant spin easily llol they take like 3 steps in one turnl lol

  • Wow! Detailed! In every way! Humorous and careful explanation! keep up w/ the fun! True here in California is to many turns; Peru, really do not remember how it's danced anymore; but; When I go to clubs here in California I am able to tell; Where did the guy learned or is innate from his country. ie; Mexico; Puerto Rico; Colombia; Ecuador; Nicaragua, Guatemala; just to mention a few; how he dances and moves=enjoying!

  • Even though I grew up Puerto Rico, I actually didn't start dancing until I was in Ames, Iowa (USA) - learning using online videos. This is my way of giving back to the community.

  • I guess u had a partner who practiced the turns with u because i find it impossible to learn these by not practicing and actually using this when u have a chance i better find somebody to practice this with her

  • Very good explanation and therefore indeed easy to follow and copy! I really liked the wraparound and the single turn in place. I'm gonna see how your other movies are. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing!

  • crazy stuff

  • Wonderful explanation of every move...it helps me in my practice. Thank you & keep up the good work!

  • excelent

  • hope I get a change to see you face to face someday, i will practice....a lot...

  • ur sick!

  • nice ..nice...good job,

  • i think this is really cute pattern and i will try to learn it.(im a girl but i like to lead)

  • dam this is to hard and im hispanic

  • o man this is hard i need private license for this

  • @5:22 you guys separate in the opposite direction... I think... is that the way its supposed to go or did I interpret it wrong?

  • .....no soul

  • Superb stuff, many patterns explained in a simple way - all in mere 10 minutes, with all caveats and dangers. People have to understand that it's harder for beginners to grasp key concepts when teachers add flavor, bodymovement, styling and whatnot to the lessons - clarity of the message suffers. Teaching is not about showing off. I don't care if he is not the best flavor guy in the world, he did his job well.
