that's the fastest EasyStar setup I have seen so far! Great work...
My own setup is "just" 2835-2700kv inrunner with 3S LiPo and 6x4 prop. Pulls somewhere around 310 W of power. Even with that I was able to break the right wing in mid-air so it's quite easy to understand why you had to put 8mm carbon tubes in the wings.
Have you built ailerons in your Easy or is it flying with standard rudder?
Very impressive performance from what I always saw as a docile trainer! I have a new Easy Star in a box somewhere and can't wait to now turn it into a screamer like yours!
Great Job there Zachy and thanks! You've inspired me!
Dude this is the nicest easy star ive ever seen, can you tell me were u got the motor or at least what is it and how you mounted in it, Please that would be really help full
The motor is a MEGA ACN 16/15/4 with 2200rpm/1V The motor is mounted like the original motor, by a rapid adhesive. The supply air hole is about five times as big as the original hole. Caution: You must not go at permanent high speed, max. only for 10 - 15 sec. 5S > 20V, 55 - 65A, is the upper limit for this motor! This high performance is recommended only at max. 60F (15C) temperature outside.!!! enjoy it like i am enjoyin it with the same motor already over a year.!
LOL, @ easy star that thinks its a modded stryker or funjet.
NICE monster

I am surprised that motor isn't sodomizing the canopy. LOL!
And I thought 600W on mine was more than enough power.... oops, there is no such thing...
NICE!

Mad EZ! How did you bend the wings propperly?
what is the prop size here?
Is the motor stil alive;-)
Have fun

Warm the wings slowly with an electric hair dryer, and
bend the warm wings slowly with your hands.
Prop size is 6x5,5 Graupner Speed Prop.

OK looks like you can put nice power in the plane. What setup did you put in your BMW and what is the speed during climbouts?
krbosak 3 years ago
I don't know climbout speed.
But you must reduce power 10 seconds
after vertical start, otherwise Easystar
will be out of vision.!!
Zachy7onSky 3 years ago
Nice setup, i could say its the transformation of the easystar into a easy-pylon racer.
Thanks for the video...

siniskoyu 3 years ago
Wings are not shortened,
but bended plane for better
Aerodynamics at full Speed.
Wings are strengthened inside
by Carbon Tube (1200mm/8mm).
In Fuselage: two Carbon Tubes (600mm/6mm).
Aeroplane Weight: 920g with 5S KokamH5 1800 mAh.
Caution, it´s upper limit to fly!!!
