What I think about Rivals~

Gary: I love Gary! His cocky attitude annoys me sometimes but I just can't seem to hate him. He was my favorite.

Silver: HELL YEAH! Silver's so kickass! You gotta love him. He can kick like 2 meters away from you. I like him the best.

Brendan/May: They are totally mistaken for rivals. They were too nice, and easy for me to beat. I hated Brendan the most.

Barry: Barry's cool, he has tough pokemon and I loved battling him. He's nice, but he was a little hard to beat.

Green/Blue: so cool!

Silver: Even more cooler!!! xP SILVER ROCKS!

May/Brendan: Don't deserves to be called rivals, they are too slow persons.

Barry: So energetic, cool, trust in his pokémon, he is your friend, but in Pokémon battles he's a decent rival.

The only thing that I'm worried now, is about the HG/SS music.

Yeah, it's true Shinji (or Paul in the english Dub) is a tribute to Silver (rival in the 2. gen games). Also, some other info from Bulbapedia:

It`s confirmed via an event in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver. You bring a special "Event' Celebi to the Shrine in Ilex Forest, and you get sent back in time 3 years, where it shows Giovanni leaving Silver after he refuses to join Team Rocket. Then you come back to the present, and you have to defeat Giovanni at his hideout near Tojo Falls, since he heard Team Rocket asking him to come back via the radio, and was planning on returning.

Totally right, but I'm guessing the developers wanted to "balance" the game. Personally, I think EVs and all that stuff should be completely retooled more to the anime specifics because Ash's pikachu kicks everyone's ass, but in the game, I have a level 100 that gets his ass handed to him. I think they should make all pokemon have the potential to be great not just those OU like skarmory blissey etc. That makes battles not fun when you battle the same pokemon over and fucking over

Man i can't tell you how many different Garchomp I have had to deal with. Look this is all I see- Garchomp, Blissey, Skarmory, Charizard/Gyarados (I love Gyarados though, it's my favorite), Tyranitar, and Infernape.
