I honestly don't think it's going to be legalized, you'd think the government would want to cause they can tax it and make money off of it, but it's so easy to grow everyone's just gonna be growing it so they don't have to buy it. so if smoking it is legal growing it won't be and innocent people will still be going to jail cause the government won't be making money, that's all they care about.

I dunno if it's close to legalization up here in Canada for the simple fact that nobody's talking about it. Here in Montreal, for example, nobody could care less if you smoke. Just don't do it on the street or in front of a cop.

The reason they're after marijuana-user is because marijuana is the most used "drug" of them all. And why? Because it is safer, relaxing and doesn't not ruin the human body like alcohol and the poisons in the cigarettes you buy...

You can die from one night of extreme alcohol-drinking. You can die by taking an overdose of legal painkillers.

You can die in an accident with a car, but they don't make cars illegal. Neither with alcohol and painkillers.

If something that is far less dangerous than alcohol and painkillers is illegal, alcohol and painkillers should either be illegal as well, or make marijuana legal. It's only fair. As long as it only harms themselfs and not others like alcohol does.

Legalize - Regulate - Tax it

Pot is cheap to produce, so the users could pay less or the same as they pay now yet the goverment could make money taxing it, save money by not having to enforce the laws. this is the most effective way to combat organized crime associated with the growing and distribution.

To make a person a criminal just because they smoke pot is unjust and not effective at all.
